That would be called renunciation of U.S. Citizenship. Usually it would be done while overseas by appearing before a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas and signing an oath of renunciation.
Like someone said you would have to go to an overseas consulate or Embassy and renounce...the procedure used to be completely free until on or around 2010 when they added a fee of 400 dollars and change then it shot up to 2360 dollars...due to numerous renunciations around the world mainly due to the stupid, controversial and draconian tax law known as FATCA(US citizens and legal residents have to pay taxes to the US Goverment regardless of where they live the world) woe unto you if you owe any taxes because they can make the process very difficult and if you are rich you also have to pay not only the renunciation fee,but also what they call an exit tax.

If somebody doesn’t have a green card anymore is it in limbo can they get deported but they got married in the United States to American how do I find out if there’s citizen or not if their papers are expired can I still get deported
You should go and get your card renewed/replaced. Your status does not change just because you got married. It doesn't matter who you marry. Status only changes by filing applications and applying to request for a change in status. Many people go and simply apply for their renewal after having an expired card for many years without consequence. At least that is how it USED to be.
What happened to the green card? They have expiration dates, better look into your status asap. As Hugo said, you don't automatically become a citizen because you marry one, you have file an application with DHS.
when someone steals a minor ssn and uses it for fraudently independent claim while on residency status and then became a us citizen if the victim finds out that her or his identity was stolen and files a fraud identity theft report can that person get citizenship revoked???
Yes. When you first apply they asked that question. Did you ever work under a different name. A different social security or an Itinerary. You had to declare it then and it would not affect you in the future. The reason they ask is because what ever money you put into that ss# could be transferred to you newly assigned ss# when you became a permanent resident . Know some people who used others Ss# but they have not applied for citizenship as they know it will come back them

I chat with a man almost every morning at a local restaurant. He and his family, originally from the Middle East, went to Canada as refugees and later became Canadian citizens. He moved to the US a few years ago and became a US citizen only a month ago. Now he's going back to Canada to be near his parents and siblings, and to take a job that he applied for. People used to become US citizens - Americans - because they loved the US and its' ideals. They stayed here, worked, voted, and contributed, but many now seem to get citizenship solely because of related "perks", then they leave for another country. This is "playing the system" in some respects and it's wrong.

Hello, new to your channel I was looking for clues as to weather my husband even tho being in jail and not doing parol would be a citizen. We have a 9 month baby but she was born in my country and wanted to know if she would ever have the opportuniy to get citizenship
Crimminal are NEVER GIVEN CITIZENSHIP. And you baby is a CITIZEN of your own country. ( if she came over without going thru the gate , it would be better to smuggling her back to her own country. Being here IS A CRIME AGAINST HER, and would be on her permanent record FOREVER. ) deported for 10 years and refused entrey on first offense. Yes they charge children with this. 2ed time it's a permanent bann from entering the USA. ( that means death)
Hi there, what is the residence requirements of a green card holder who are working as a Pilot for US airline company and often travel outside of the US for his job?
Hi there! Please give us a call or text us at +1 818-741-1117 so we can discuss this further. You can also schedule a consultation by clicking the link in our bio
A permanent resident can not be out of the country for 180 consecutive days. You can travel in out no problem. Plus it's part of your job. Consider becoming a citizen, you either had to wait 3 years or 5 years depending on how you got your citizenship, through another permanent resident or US citizen?
What if one gets his/her green card illegaly or done something illegal before getting their citizenship, and it was discovered after citizenship was granted.
BYE BYE
Want to know if a person hit a person by means of car accident the person was death base on their injury. The person leave for the US to prevent sentences etc. Then they get their citizen ship can it be revoke?
It depends on the charges, misdemeanor, felony, 1 st degree murder, manslaughter. Accident happened before citizenship? It should be a yes.
We don't want that person back, they will do it again.
Actual information starts at 2:02
lol lol lol
if a green card holder withholds the fact that she or he has HIV on their naturalization request (or any other transmitable disease) would that be grounds for a denaturalization if that GC holder is approved to naturalize? Your input is welcome
Thank you. Can they be denaturalized for violating any part of 18 USC
MArriage for convinience or paid someone to marry and go through the process to obtain permanent Resident.

if someone denaturalizes then what will be his status. Does that person comes back on Green card status?
deportation
When uscis work for eb3 work permit
this is insane when you consider what's happening at the border.
Not really. A citizen is considered a subject of the state, so you can see why the government would want to give citizenship to illegals
Hope all lot of people that voted for a FELON ,= ABUELITA GOING BACK ,YOU VOTED TO SEND HER BACK!
Hello, my issue is different. I am going through security clearance for a government job and I admitted to visiting a prostitution before my naturalization. And I think I said “No” on the naturalization application when they asked if I ever committed any crime that I was NOT arrested for? Since I admitted to the interviewer about visiting prostitute should I be worried? Can they de-naturalize me and deport me? Please help me I am so worried! I am currently a naturalized US citizen.

Military jobs have a HUGE PROBLEM WITH SEX cases as it affects MEDICAL INSURANCE,
Means they won't hire you.
What happens to a denaturalised person? Does he/she become stateless?
No, they are deported back to country of origin.
Sir my k1 visa refused and also want got termination notice to my fiance. Now 1 week before he left me .. So I give up. He start to lookin another girl. I live alone in my further life . I am 40 now.. Its very difficult for me to find some one. My son also growing
Can you have or keep dual citizenship as you become USA Citizen?
I don't really get the 4th one.
Thanks ……what If Somebody Would Like To Withdraw Or return His Citizenship With His Own Concent ,What He Should Do ? Pls Explain The Steps
That would be called renunciation of U.S. Citizenship. Usually it would be done while overseas by appearing before a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas and signing an oath of renunciation.
You could also try what is called a status correction
Number 4 is non applicable oversea or non US jurisdiction?
What will happen if the person denaturalized has No citizenship because the country the person was originally from don’t allow dual citizenship, where will they deport him then ?
Denaturalized doesn't mean they will get deported. They will get their Green card back which is a permanent resident.
They need this in Australia and the UK.
???? Who cares about Australia and England? How that relates to the matters? 😮😮
My friend lied that never married in her country during interview of naturalization
That is a base for permanent deportation.
You are now responsible for providing details of this information to authority. Mind you, failing to do so is also an offense and is considered concealment on your side. 🫵
okay. get immediately in contact with immigration and tell them what exactly your cousin did.
Does this apply to persons that gain their citizenship through the derivative process? My dad is a US citizen he got his certificate of citizenship and I just obtain my passport from the DOS . Will this affect me ?

My waiting period of 5 years after my green card approval is finishing in February 2024 next year can I apply for my citizenship in December 2023, if yes what do you charge for this process... Please advise thanks
But...does denaturilization lead to deportation? I wouldn't think so, since the person is assumed not to be a citizen of another country thereby rendering them stateless.
my brother apply I-130 , 9 oct 2018, now peoseccing table sowing date of working application 20 jan 2020, , wat happen about my appliction ???? wat i do to office take action about my application ???
What about failure to pay taxes?
Make a plan with IRS
What if you got naturalized when you were under 18. Can you still face denaturalization?
Do you mean to ask if a person who became a citizen by operation of law because their legal parent naturalized before they were 18?
Because this is denaturalization and that person did not naturalize to obtain citizenship, I don’t think it’s relevant.
Why would I do that? I love America.

Hi Ashoori, Can you help me or answer me for one question? I applied for passport for 1st time and I don't know that lamination of certificate is forbidden and I did it What will happen do I need to apply for certificate copy and do I need to pay again for everything and frome initial stage what agency reply me
Your passport is a small book, not a certificate. What are you talking about?
Hi I would like to know if I can leave the country to go Guyana and come back with my US citizenship certificate
No.
As Hugo said, you don't automatically become a citizen because you marry one, you have file an application with DHS.
when someone steals a minor ssn and uses it for fraudently independent claim while on residency status and then became a us citizen if the victim finds out that her or his identity was stolen and files a fraud identity theft report can that person get citizenship revoked???
yes
Yes. When you first apply they asked that question. Did you ever work under a different name. A different social security or an Itinerary. You had to declare it then and it would not affect you in the future. The reason they ask is because what ever money you put into that ss# could be transferred to you newly assigned ss# when you became a permanent resident . Know some people who used others Ss# but they have not applied for citizenship as they know it will come back them
Hi, i am a spanish citizen i have intention to move to the USA to work, i am a truck driver. Want to know if my european licencia is valid and how to get a residence or working permit
As a truck driver you will need a CURRENT CDL rom the state where you will live.
They will mail the required booklet for a fee, STUDY IT, also you will have to pass a CDL TEST in a rig.
Getting a job in America with a CDL for non Americans is a lot of paperwork and requires more checks to work as a driver, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE FLUNET IN SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH. ( you can't get a legal CDL job without it) job required lots of paperwork also study up on driving laws in America. You may have to go to an American truck driving school to get certified.
Warning:lots of current CDL drivers are loosing money because of regulations and Biden, you may want to wait until Trump takes office.
What about several DUI?
What if I have dual citizenship and I want my US citizenship revoked? Best way?
You need to renounce at your will. It cost money but I understand whatever reason you might have
@@vickiecordon7887 I want them to revoke it. Best way I can see is by joining a foreign military.
@@nodaklojack OK , I think I heard about before

This sucks. None of this applies to me. :(
Minute 2:06 fast forward is we’re the video start
Denaturalization should only take place for major lies on the immigration application
A lie is a lie.
EVERY LIE IS MAJOR ON GOVERNMENT FORMS.
Like being an illegal immigrant and having a child here illegally.
Review the video. That is “precisely” what was said. The lie must be major in that it affected “approval” of the naturalization. In other words, without the lie, you’d have not been approved.
Any lie, any lie is major, it says who you are.
@@RenardGarzaro we were discussing the law as written and applied-not your opinion.
It would be helpful to include examples of violations that pertain to the reasons for denaturalization….although you provide the 4 reasons, the details are too vague
He could have just listed the 4 reasons and save us 90% of the video time. I suppose it's a habit with lawyers; the longer they talk the more clients get billed.
Okay, so I cant yet denaturalize old if the person who I got citizenship from wants to revoke my citizenship when I did no crime right???
Your spouse cannot revoke your citizenship. You should consult an attorney if they are threatening you.
Can you lose your citizenship if you’re born here but raised abroad?
If your parents are legally citizens, you can be born abroad,( as in military brat) and it won't affect your citizenship.
Can a newly naturalized US citizen return to her home country?
yes..
Have a question???
go back to thailand 🇹🇭
I hope my children understand my decision also .
I wanna know how it can happen if u were born there

On reason 3, if I become a member of communist party or totalitarian party or a terrorist 6 years after I became a citizen, could I be denaturalize?
So I’m currently in the US army, 2years of service in active duty. I got my US citizenship 2 months ago but im getting out of the military most likely with a other than honorable discharge. My father became a US citizen before I was 18 so technically a US citizen before I joined, My question is can they still Revoke my citizenship because of my discharge and deport me?
Talk to a immigration lawyer. If you father file for naturalization and you acquire that thru that process and it has been pass your 21st birthday and you have 5 year of naturalization, I believe you are good to go.
I doubt it, how would they know you got an other than honorable discharge unless you told them?
You father being a citizen had nothing to do with you being citizen if you were not born here.
For point number 3, there must not be time limit
So Elon
Elon has skills, he can stay.
The real Americans are the brown people of Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, etc.
What are some of these perks ?
Have you heard of Chinese birth tourism? Many Chinese come to the US just to give birth so their kids will be US citizens then they go back to their countries of origin. There are even travel agencies that arrange this, they set up housing and hospitals for expectant mothers.
They should all be deported and never allowed into the western hemisphere.
what about people who wants to renounce their naturalization/us citizenship how can they do that?
Appear before a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate and sign an oath of renunciation.
@@jamesdickey8781 you also have to pay a fee. If you have more than 1 million dollars you also pay an exit tax. Check nomad capitalist and offshore citizen. There experts to guide in how to do that legally and no consequences with IRS
What if a person owed million dollrs to government , he can be deported?@vickiecordon7887
By leaving right away.
What about Natural Born citizens. what reasons would cause them to be denaturalized?
Persons born in the USA was thought to automatically have US citizenship. However, with this new information, if their parents' status wasn't at least a green card, you can kiss that goodbye.
@@gushardy4421That would be a good thing. Birth tourism has been a thing for decades.
It makes me laugh when bigots yell to people (In America) "Go back to where you came from", when the people they are yelling at were born here and are Americans.
The real Americans are the brown people of Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, etc.
You are a bigot here😂😂😂. You go to your hall and keep your mouth shut🎉🎉🎉
Not if you are first generation, only your grandparents, great grandparents were born here and if you don't speak the language.
One way you can't lose it is by becoming President and trying to overthrow the Government
🤣🤣🤣
I thought one could lose one’s citizenship by committing a capital crime, though I’m not a lawyer and this isn’t legal advice.
@@aycc-nbh7289 I think that only applies to naturalized citizens.
@@ronnieking3848 Why would it only apply to naturalized citizens? Or would prosecutors simply be unable to use loss of citizenship as a condition of a plea deal for natural-born citizens?
Um, only native born US citizens, i.e. born in the United States or one of its territories in the case of a couple distinguished Senators from Arizona, may be elected President.
