Recently I decided to doodle designs for my Sans & Papyrus vocs, (since they never really had designs for the last three years), as well as give them names, "Koto" for Sans & "Erhu" for Papyrus. The concept is comparing and contrasting a wolf's fierce loyalty to their pack, to people and their friends. Unfortunately with humans, our natures are different than wolves and we're not always loyal. Sometimes we're petty and sometimes we betray one another, but then there's some people that have that same ferocious loyalty that a wolf has, and if anyone wants to hurt that "wolf's" friends, they'd have to go through them first. Those that choose to openly make enemies or to turn on friends on whim, even for stupid reasons, only hurt themselves in the long run. The song's asking if your someone who chooses to be manipulative, only staying with these "friends" for some personal gain, or if you and your pack truely stand strong together. At 3:53, you are asking the wolf to reveal those who have malintent, and they will be reavealed with time with his guidance, which in actuality is just your intuition. The "Beast" is your 6th sense; "We are wolves, unkillable," just means "We stand strong, together from our loyalty."
This was wonderous, it's been awhile since one of your songs gave me goosebumps and made me feel like this. Thank you, as always, for it. The message is lovely, although a bit awkward for me, as i am far too aware, understanding the manipulative nature of my actions, but to those few that I trust and prove themselves worth it, they have my undying loyalty. Even three years later, this continues to be one of my absolute favorite songs. I've personally listened to it on repeat several times, and it's not quick to get old. It's been an inspiration to me in more ways than one, inspiring songs, characters, art, stories, and more. I doubt I'll ever forget this song, and I hope I never will. ♡
