Kenny took a long time to warm up and quit smoking. I know it was quite cold there, but even so, that engine took a long time to fire on all cylinders. I think the engine is trying to tell you it needs so love and attention on the valves, rings, cylinder walls and bearings.

Hi Mike. I too noticed the exhaust leak. I think you're aware of it. I think you pointed out it's from the Y adapter in the exhaust pipe? Could you weld the leak shut? Better yet just use your trusty JB Weld. JB to the rescue! Can that stuff handle the temps though? Keep on truckin Mike👍
I always wait about 1-2 mins after start while checking the oil gauge for pressure then bump the the idel to 1000k and let it be for about 20 - 30mins but that's me

Its never work if your having fun. I love that statement that someone else coined. Mike, If I were so lucky to be your age again.... I would take a truck frame same length as your rolling right now approx., and set a ford dually body and bed on it... it does get crazier, I would use the single rim/tire but with the tandems. I would of course make them a chrome rim and use my own bed design so it could walk and all like a normal truck can do just like Kenny and chrome stacks of course. The dash would be so similar to the Pete an also the ford or a best of two worlds. It would make sense to have a nice air suspension, jake brakes a must on the three way switch so to be easier to use as well as talk a little. I got this idea many years ago when, and I don't remember which of the king and queen companies did it but they gave a modified truck to a man who retired from the company after thirty years so it was "Lets use Pete" a big truck in pickup truck sized dimensions. A one of one thing and it took a long while to build but he was surprised as all get-out. I don't know what ever become of that rig
Hi Mike not having to deal with this extreme cold in Adelaide I'm wondering is a cold start bad for a motor ,the engine sounds like it's knocking is it getting oil properly the viscosity of the oil I would think it's like treacle. Is there a system of keeping the engine warm ,I thought about wrapping an electric blanket around the engine at night . Would appreciate some feed back on the subject Cheers from no snow Adelaide Kym

How can he and Fitzgerald come up with a copy of a truck from next year's model run, seemingly on short notice/wait time, when because of allocation, you can't get any at all delivered now. Does Fitzgerald have a higher allotment? (Maybe that is why your work day was so short! LOL!)😁
Yes that’s how we started all the buses at work…6V 71, 6V 92T, DD 50 Series and newer Cummins all started the same. Crank until white smoke…wait a bit then crank again. They usually all start right up.

Lol, the model year changed January 4th so everything built in 2022 is a model year 2023
They must Have better luck with alocation. Everything I was allowed for 2022 is sold and I have a waiting list.
