I've been an AVID Hunter for 30 year and I have begun to model more of my hunts like you do. That's what it's all about I love the patience & just sitting in the woods and hunting. And thank you for adding prayor in your hunt, nowadays people have gotten away from that.
I shot a button buck when it was in the 70s about that same time you were filming this video. 8 yards thru both lungs with my bow. Thanks again for your videos.
I know how you feel. Our season has been rough too. My husband and I both hunt and only I have killed 1 deer. The freezer is bare for sure! But tommorow we go back for the last weekend of deer hunting this season. Hopefully the good Lord will bless us with more meat..
Doesn't get any better than this. Wiggy you never disappoint. Real hunting and camping at its finest. Thank you again from all of us for bringing us along for this year's deer season. It's been great. Four deer is not a hard season lol.
I used to hunt Northern Minnesota and we used a wall tent with a cook awning in the front. It was great times with great friends. Ahhh to be young again. Great videos. I thoroughly enjoy them.
Great video man. I like the fact you don't chat up a storm of unnecessary BS that you see on a lot of videos. Just kinda natural conversation. I like that. Makes me feel like I'm there.
Let me see, wall tent, wood stove, and meat hanging on the pole, thats what I call living it up!! Really great video, and btw, I might be in love with that Marlin rifle!
Thank you for making such great videos!I like your videos cause you’re videos are way deer camp should be, for the experience and meat, not just for big racks, thanks for showing how deer camp really is or should be, by way the small deer are some fine eating, may god keep blessing you, and your family.
Congrats on the harvest!! It truly was a rough season!! Here in WV it seemed like the deer went nocturnal just as soon as season opened. I was lucky to get one during bow season, a nice doe. My son didn't get anything during bow season and both of us got skunked during rifle season! Then our muzzleloader season, Jerod got a nice size 3 point buck and just a few hours later I got a nice doe. Didn't get to capture the shots on camera but videoed the hunt. Love the wall tent camping!! Juddie - J & J TOA
WIGGY!! we need more uploads. do some trail cam reviews or scouting!! or even fishing would be amazing. we all love your uploads but wish there was more!
Man I wish I could upload more. I'm fighting off my second round of bronchitis this month. I had a bad reaction to the medication they gave me a few days ago, so I'm on something else now. Just have to wait it out. It's been a bad cold season for me!
I am rewatching. So inspiring! Thanks again, Wiggy, for taking the trouble to document these adventures. It is amazing what you managed to do by being persistent. I am a big fan, and I hope you'll continue to share more of these deer camp experiences with us. I like your style, sir!
Only one deer for my this season so far but here in AL we run until the first weekend in Feb so hopefully I can get at least one more. I definitely have to try out the alcohol burner. Great vid Wiggy 👍🏼
Hell yah bro yeww knocking them down glade you got some deer man congratulations always enjoy everyone of your videos I've seen can't Waite for your spring turkey hunts
Excellent video there my friend, I really enjoyed it and congratulations on a successful camp and hunt. That Dietz oil lantern that you have is a beauty. I bought a couple of old beater ones at a garage sale a while ago that I am going to try to cleanup and get a coat of paint on them. They look pretty bad right now, but, I think they will be OK with a little work. Take care and thank you for taking us out there with you. See you on the next one.
Thanks! I fixed up an old Embury lantern this summer that had been neglected and had a bunch of holes in the fount. Patched the holes with JB Tank Weld and then a double coat of POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer and some new paint and it's as good as it ever was!
You had a much more productive hunting season than I. My freezer is empty! I think I'll take you up on that cac of soup you had left over. Lol Good hunting...
Congrats on getting your final 2 deer. I got my second, and final, deer this morning. I’m in southern middle TN and this has been the worst season i can remember. I have no acorns and the bucks disappeared during muzzleloader season. I got a buck tgiving weekend, but he appeared to be wandering looking for food, i had never seen him before and hes never been on any of my trail cams. Looks like i will be putting in food plots for corn and beans this spring so I will have food sources in the future. What a crap season.
Wiggy you are invited to the Bouse Hills Az Rendezvous Feb 14th to the 19th, I hope you show up, think of it as a deployment, I will be there and so will a bunch of folks, maybe get a lot of footage for video's and just harmonize with regular folk. If you need anything, just e mail through the channel.
me cry hard! I fondly remember the days thirty years past with two weeks of "the hunt" and a old wall tent, stove and outside kettle with "hunters stew" for the taking. Locals five mile out would smell the stew. So would a few black bear! Lol Is that baiting of game violation. NOWADAYS the few hunters that show up come in motor homes WITH SATELLITE TV.! Good on you for the video.
Nice video. That looks like a CRKT lok n hoist system. I've been looking at many different systems for hanging deer and that's a good one and my next purchase if I can find one.
Enjoy watching your video. It happens to the best of us. I know how it is not to get enough deer meat to last out the year. This is how I feed my family. I also am able to supplement wild hogs if I can't kill enough deer. We can't harvest very many does in Louisiana as other states can.
I'd have to make a fire regardless.. it's just the heart of your camp.. love your videos man... Everything is so simple.. hunt on ground... Same spots... You look like your having a ball.. just good simple stuff.. and just stacking their ass!! Lol
I think adding some type of fire wood storage for your camp would be a plus then you would have dry wood and not worry about it when everything is wet by rain or snow a few days before season and you are set. Congrats on getting the 2 deer they. will taste good this winter. I've got pepperoni sticks in the smoker from a buck I got 3 weeks ago with the smokelole. Happy. New. Year to you
Always enjoy your videos, disappointing in not seeing a lot of kills this year from you. I know it isn't for not trying, but hope next year will be better. Come and visit us here in Oklahoma....we got the deer for you to harvest....I mean hunt.
Hey there. Enjoyed the video. Hope all is well looking forward to more videos. If you ever come to south Carolina you have an open invite to go hunting or fishing
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms...”
Hey what are you shooting ? Good video I stumbled across your page searching for canvas tents. I need to start videoing my trips too. Authentic and respect. PURE

Had that been the only deer I saw, I would have taken it fully knowing it was a buttonhead, lol. I was only slightly let down because I was thinking I got two big'uns, lol.

I love these deer camp videos. I've watched this one 3 times. Great job!
real deer hunting....I stress the word hunting. that involves woodsmanship, not high fences and feeders
WIGGY!! we need more uploads. do some trail cam reviews or scouting!! or even fishing would be amazing. we all love your uploads but wish there was more!

Here in TN we can get 3 does a day, and two bucks per year.
@@WiggysWilderness nice I should have moved yr ago had a house boat given to me down there
I gotta get a wall tent one day. Getting a little tired of crawling on the ground in my tent.
Congratulations
Man seeing them deer hung up riyminde me of one of my favrit things to do i love working hiyde wish i had the place to do all that .
They are all walkin' sacks of venison to me. I take no shame at all in killin' a yearling, in fact they are preferred table fare with me. Good job!
Had that been the only deer I saw, I would have taken it fully knowing it was a buttonhead, lol. I was only slightly let down because I was thinking I got two big'uns, lol.
It happens...plus that little buck will be good eatin
Thank the lord for Alabama bc season doesn't go out until Feb 10th I have only been once this year
I used to love hunting down there. I had a lifetime hunting and fishing license in Alabama.
Nothing like a white gas lantern, finicky sometimes, but put out a ton of light.
I enjoy your vids. I would be scared to death to start a fire around those leaves.
"Now I really want some bacon" LOL!
hey bro, we got till the last day of January here in Ms to hunt. You welcome to come tag along!
