- For this project I used the dremel 100 with the dremel flex shaft and the dremel router attachment. I bought the wood at Home Depot for about $10 but I only used a third of it. This was a pretty basic dremel wood carving video and if you want to learn more check out my blog at scratchengraving.wordpress.com/
Bit number (for the words): 650

Here's a money-saving tip from a sign-maker: Before you print out your lettering, convert the text to 'outline' first. This will save you wasting loads of very expensive printer ink.
I will be doing one for my wife when I can get a spare couple of hours. Every house has an odd sock come off the line. Thanks for the great project idea. 🐝👍
I watched this on Bing videos because it looked interesting. I just wanted to come here to the original video to give a thumbs up. That's a great job on the routing, way more confidence than I would have doing it all on one board. Great job!
Thank you, I appreciate it.
That's a great job. That kid has a bright future.
I am so sure that you will find good way to make it on woodprix.
I just subscribed. I use the scroll saw a lot and have been looking into doing more projects with the router. Learning so much watching your videos. You have some skill my friend! Also great job video editing!
That was enjoyable and gave me some ideas. Thankyou.
Very nice work. Great project idea. Thank you!
Very creative project. Thanks for posting it.
Very entertaining and apt about life. Neat idea, will watch more yours, thanks
I’m new to your channel got to say I was really impressed with your work
I have done very similar with Woodprix designs.
A beautiful project. Best regards from Perú.
Great Job! Blessings!
I went on your blog, didn’t find the full instructions 😕 so you used the dremel 100 for the letters too?
This is beautiful. I hope you’re no longer single & have found your match!
Hey man, I’m new to all of this, which bit did you use? Thank you!
Nice job !
I have a dremel 8220. What bit do I use for the outline of letters and to carve out the rest of the lettering?
What bit did you use?
What bits do you use for a circle, straight line
wow, great job
awesome.may i know what bits u used.
Great video, cute idea too. I wonder if you could stain the board first, THEN engrave? The stain would be gone when you routered…right? Just thinking it would cut time staining around the lettering. Thanks!
hello i wish i could be able to inform some link to buy these cutters and which models to use and if u can post here the pictures of the cutters in the comment. thanks Brasil
I LOVE IT!!!!
Cool idea ,well done ,why tape around the letter f and the sock.?
Love this sign, ty so much for this video! Question please, I have the dremel 4000, with the dremel shaft. Can I do this project with that? And what bit should I use? Ty so much in advance!
The Dremel 4000 is a pretty good tool, so you should be able to make a sign that looks like this one. In my experience engraving I never used just one bit to engrave. Just practice with what you have and use the bit that feels most natural to you.
Hola, se puede utilizar con el modelo 300 de dremel?
What specific dremel did you use?
Very Nice
Awesome!
Hola buenas . Saludos desde España-valencia.una pregunta ¿que punta de brocas utilizas para hacer los desgastes de fresado? Y que número es. Gracias 😊
Sabes el número ahora?
CLEVER !
Hi There. What kind of bit are you using here for the dremel?
nice job !
Where to get that die cut machine?
Does it matter what type of paint to use on the lettering? IE... If I use an Enamel paint pen on the lettering, will it soak into the wood, making it to where it can't be sanded out. I plan on using pine if that helps.
Before you start the project, try painting and sanding a little piece of pine off to the side or on the back to make sure it works.
So... you need a light?

what is the best bit to use in my dremel for hard wood?
In my experience, I’ve felt every bit cuts the same way no matter what type of wood. Different bits will give you different looks. It’s up to you on which bit you want to use. I’ve always liked the V-shaped ones, but for this project I used a flat head bit. Since hard wood is expensive, I would suggest practicing with different bits on a 2x4 or any cheap scrap wood first.
What bit did you use for corners and fine lines?
What is the tool called in the beginning? Edit: I think I found it. Its called a router.
What bits do you use most
Save time with the painting by spraying the whole board.. Then just give it a quick sanding overtop so the only paint is where the letters are cut out
Thanks for the info.
Just imagine all the videos that would be available if those how always complain would post their version of how they would do it instead of simply always complaining about every little thing, jezzz, is anything ever good enough for some of you people. its like listening to a bunch of 3 year olds LOL actually 3 year olds are even better than that. anyway, good job mate, offers some other ideas as well. unless you are one that i always the compulsive complainers.
From which Year you are come ? 1800 ?
How is your stencil held down?
What is that paper your using as a stencil? I'm essentially looking to engrave runic type letters into a guitar hear, and I would hate to free-hand it.
It was just regular printer paper with packaging tape across the whole surface (to help the router slid around). You can print any design on the paper and use this method for any project.
Thats clever
Hello .. What do you take to glue the sheets of paper on wood? Thanks
I used packaging tape to keep the paper on the wood. No glue necessary👍
@@scratch100 Thank's
What bit is that
Alguien me puede decir qué tipo de mecha es que medida de fresa?
Lograste saber cuál es?
If you guys know what a Dremel is then you will know that there is an attachment that allows you to use it vertically like a router, hence the name router attachment like in the description, of anyone reads it...
This is a good one www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Types_of_Tools/Routers_and_Bits/Routers/Precision_Router_Base.html?pref_currency=P&shipcalc=UK&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIu-bU15H41wIVD_EbCh1mkAA6EAQYAyABEgIlNvD_BwE
Very Nice
Como se llama la maquina para hacer ese trabajo?
Dremel 100
What kind of wood are you using?
He is using pine
Wow great x🇬🇧😁
what model of dremel did you use and attachment?
Dremel 100 with dremel router attachment
Scratch, do you still occasionally use the Dremel with router attachment now that you have the larger router?
What kind of Carving Bit did you use??
I don’t know the bit number but any flat head bit will work. The purpose was to just engrave the letters into the wood, no special angle or anything.

Thought that was a sign for a dating agency.
👏👏👏💯👍
Does anyone know what that dremel attachment is called please.
I used the Dremel flex shaft and the Dremel router attachment in this video.
Can someone tell me what tools are being used please ?
Dremel 100 with the Dremel router attachment and Dremel flex shaft
Pretty neat! 👍
🤩🤩🤩
👌
Next time show the process and don’t rush to the finished project. Looks great though.
Thanks for the advice
Wouldn't be easier if you clamped the board down?
Maybe. I tried that before it doesn’t help much and just gets in the way of the router.
Wish I could see how it works. Voice instructions would be nice
sweet
Let me save you a ton of time....... Stain the wood first..... 2) Have you stencil be adhesive back, Printer Label paper..... Don't take the stencil off after you are done, and spray paint it....then take the stencil off....No sanding..... if you need touch up stain after, do it with a sponge.
I `T. Michael STUDIOS
That’s a great idea!
#2) The paper is not hard to get off after you are done?
hhhhh so good really
Lost socks delux
this could be my Facebook banner
What if they all stay single? I say you don't have to look the same to be a good match. You are all socks!
Why would you not stain the wood first, then cut out the letters so you dont spill over? Still great hand work.
Exelente felicidades
Try to make it even faster :-(
Wow all that work to find a sock. Ha
SO...THIS ISN'T A DATING SITE....?

Not wasting my time where the content creator is either unwilling or unable to speak and articulate their process.
Who is the viewing trying to impress. NOT me I learned absolutely nothing from this video
Vicki Marsh I’m not sure the video was made for instructional purposes. Try searching for a “how to”
Det tror jeg da gerne 😲
I just watched this and there is no Dremel. It's a fucking router, change the title.
Walter Raleigh is a
It is a Dremel with a router attachment. Cmon man, this is a 12 year old kid, don’t be so harsh. He did a great job!
Pause the video at 0:13 - looks pretty much like a Dremel
The name on the tool says DREMEL. Just using a plunge attachment.
Walter Raleigh Please feel free to go play in oncoming traffic.
Show the process instead of simply showing yourself using a dremel.....USELESS THUMBSDOWN
Lame....
Nice job!
