I love this; Only problem with these is you'd need a vehicle large enough to transport the lattice...I don't think those would fit in my compass, especially not with the table and everything else gorgeous art, btw!
I almost had this problem when I bought the lattice a few weeks ago! Fortunately it is pretty flexible. I was able to curl it up into a tube just big enough to fit in my back seat and it flattened right back out once it was uncurled. edit: I would add though, that the lattice I bought was not as tight of a weave. The stuff in the video might be too stiff for rolling up easily.
This is fantastic! I have been using the plastic lattice but have cut it in half because I have a small vehicle and I zip tie them back together. I love your idea, so nice looking too!
Thank you so much for this idea. I made it today for my greeting cards. I had a show last Saturday and it was so windy I was chasing things all over. This will also leave me more room on my tables. I make a lot of paper crafts and paper and wind don’t mix well. I also made it so that it can fold in half for easy transport. Thanks again.
With this method your cards didn't blow away? I couldn't catch what he was saying about fishing line - there there a line of fishing line holding the cards against the lattice? And/or the cards fit into a slot on the long horizontal end piece 'shelves'?
@@KyleGaineyGains I didn’t have time to do it. But everyone that had paintings sitting on easels were CHASING there art all day. So don’t use easels like I did 😂
@@PaintWithLola Oh wow, that sounds like a nightmare! Thank you for letting me know. I'm thinking the fishing line he said he uses would actually cut into my art work as its just paint on the canvas where his was more a flat piece of paper with plastic around it.
Love love love this. Fast and easy. I just saw Lattice at Lowe's and thought it looked so pretty. Now I know what to use it for! I have no idea what end caps are.... you said you hung them upside down on the Lattice with zip ties. Can you or someone please tell me what end caps are really used for ? Are they are Lowe's also? (It's the "board" to rest the the art work on ). Thanks SO much!
I think I know what he did. Tie the fishing line on one side and string over to the other side where it is laying across the cards or pics and tied to the other side.
Seems like the best, simplest idea out there; but the 4 x 8 plastic lattices at Lowe's are not light. Has the weight of all the panels together ever been an issue?
Hey Pat! Thanks for the video I def want to give this a try! The only thing I'm trying to think how to fix is the monofilament fishing line going across my artwork, as they are acrylic on canvas with no protection like yours. So I'm thinking it would rub the paint off. Do you have any solutions for this? I have some smaller paintings but most are 16 x 20 inches.
Hi Kyle. I do have some acrylic pieces on canvas and haven’t had any problem with the monofilament which doesn’t put much pressure on the artwork. Good luck!
@@gymnast1946 Okay thank you for letting me know Pat! That was my man concern with the set up. Going to be using it for my first art festival this weekend! Thank you! and do you put anything behind your lattice to cut the wind more or no?
@@KyleGaineyGains Wind is always a concern. If anything, the lattice panels should be less affected by the wind than solid panels. Good luck with your first show!
My artwork is on A4 A3 A2 size box canvases, also 14x11" mounted prints. And no marque tent as indoor stalls in UKdue to unpredictable weather. Any ideas please?? as gridwalls are so expensive to buy and no room to store in-between craft fayre events.
At the 1:14 mark, I mention fishing line/monofiliment. I tie the line across the panel near the top of the artwork. I'll usually anchor it part way across.

Thank you for this!!! The last video I watched, this lady's set-up time was three hours and I just thought, "There's no way I'm doing all of that..."
nice display and beautiful art. well done sir.
Thanks for sharing this idea. I have used it for 2 shows now and it has made setting up pretty easy. Thanks again!

Thanks 👍! Great idea for my budding artist daughter.
Brilliant idea! I think we will try it for my husband's open studio display of oil paintings. Thank you !
Love this idea!! Thanks for sharing!!
Newbie facing my first show; this is great … need simple and cheap; thanks!
Thank you so much for this idea! you saved my art show this weekend! My metal panels got lost and I was freaking out :D
Great idea! Looks beautiful
Doing my first outdoor art event and I can't wait to try this! Thank you so much for your video(s)

Thank you! I’m going to give it a go tomorrow!!
This is all perfect. I think we are all confused what an end cap is? Gotta be another name of the shelving that was used!? I can't find it anywhere.
It’s a trim price from flooring department, it’s the edging used when installing wood floors, so you should be able to get it in the flooring dept
This was incredibly helpful and so economical! Thank you for sharing this idea.
Awesome! Great idea! I love s hooks 🥰
I love this! Simple and easy! 🎉😊

great idea, thanks
Idk what an end cap is.
What are these end caps you use? I mean, what are they typically used for?
What is your set up for inside buildings for displays?
Hi, Pat! This is such a great idea! Can you share how you used the fishing line to hold the pictures from falling off the end caps?
The fishing line is just tied into holes in the lattice panels.
I think I know what he did. Tie the fishing line on one side and string over to the other side where it is laying across the cards or pics and tied to the other side.

The weight will help stop the wind effect.
thanks@@richardmccann4815
Brilliant! Where do I get the end caps?
Home Depot or Lowes will have them.
@@gymnast1946 Thank you.

A single gust of wind will blow every single print right off there, though.
