- Last month at the T2 investors call the game was still on track for Fall 2025. They are legally obligated to disclose any delays. It is very unlikely that they would delay it a mere few weeks later.
- No other reputable sources have come out and said ANYTHING to support this. And apparently Liam has known about it for a couple of days. I see no reason as to why if a delay did happen that Bloomberg or any notorious outlet wouldn’t know almost immediately. Rockstar would have to make sure that every employee was made aware about any kind of delay, thus making leaks impossible to avoid. It makes zero sense as to why Liam is the only one with this knowledge especially when it has been a good amount of time since this delay allegedly happened.
- Jason Schreier has implied that he is none the wiser to any kind of delay. And if a delay happened, he’d know about it.
- The game is still over a year away. A delay would most likely happen at the beginning of 2025, and be announced sometime in May. Just like RDR2 and GTA 5.
- Liam himself has expressed that he will use the situation to be more careful about what he reports on in the future, suggesting that he is no longer 100% sure himself.
Update: Jason Schreier contacted six Rockstar employees, all confirmed neither of them had heard of such a delay.
TLDR - The chances of this “leak” being true are extremely slim. Nothing about the situation adds up or makes any sense. It was most likely a miscommunication.
Game is not delayed, and set to release Fall 2025.

Although it’s unlikely to be delayed, some games by Rockstar have been postponed in the past. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but I hope it releases on time. 😉
