The Fall and Winter seasons have raised the bar of what I look forward to from Fragrance Apprentice, a trip to Tallinn, somewhere new, those are atmospheric and amazing. Keep making amazing content!
Carved Oud is the best of them all-including Oud wood. Very smooth and regal. Super similar to OW in the opening but after 30min does it’s own thing. Definitely not linear.
Had Versace oud noir first. Got Tom Ford oud wood second. Was in love with oud noir at first scent. Tom Ford was so hyped, I had to have it. That being said, I do prefer Versace. It isn't as sharp. More rounded. Better projection and longevity as well. No argument there. Half the price. All in all, just a better purchase and frag. Now, the bois oudh from dua I bought. That is a beast. Last all day.
I looooooooooooooove. Oud wood, it's in my top 3 favorite fragrances of all time, I've got 3 50ml bottles and I just love it, and you played a part in that love. Your oud wood review was the first ever video on your channel that I watched and what ultimately made me a fan of your channel and content.
i've got a decant of it & the performance is abysmal . i won't be getting a bottle of it as the performance makes me frustrated so splash put on it . i will look for the alternatives
Nice video George, just to mention in this topic a brilliant chippie perfect take of Oud wood is Icon Absolute. Specially the dry down is almost identical. I was trying them on my skin recently at Fenwick and couldn't believe, although I got the Tom Ford your video was quite interesting. Thanks.
I quite like Aoud by M Micallef. It's another rose oud combo but I like it as a dryer rose variant to Moschino Toy Boy with a very realistic dark wood vibe.
I recommend INTENSE OUD by Oriflame. Amazingly cheap, slightly synthetic. Theres Oud and Grapefruit. Costs around 10-15 Euros. I layer it sometimes with Encre Noir to give it rhat earthy vibe.
So happy someone mentioned this fragrance. The sweet rosewood and other woody notes blend so well in it. Amazing VFM. In fact, I am wearing it currently and couldn't help but give my two cents here :)
Thanks for the review. I also think Thameen CO is better than OW. It's more elegant than OW. Sexier. More unique. CO delivers on the skin the promise OW makes from the bottle. And for added bonus, it stays much longer on the skin. However, it is worth having both, because OW is... hmmm... well... OW !!! I enjoy both. Versace is completely different from CO and OW. It starts different on my skin, and goes in an even further direction. I don't understand why people say it's a clone. It's not. And it's not a good scent at all. I tried it, and washed it off. It smells cheap and not attractive. I smelled other OW clones-wanna-be such as Al Haramain, Montale, Gucci ... nothing comes close to OW (except CO which goes even further). In fact, AH and Montale use too much pungent oud, and that induces headaches. It's a very delicate balance that has to be stricken in order to get an elegant result. It's good to have inspired-perfumes that are as good as the original, Carved Oud and Godolphin to name 2 that are inspired by Mr. Ford. (btw, in the case of TL as well, other clones - such as La Yuqawam and Golden boy - are cheap and unattractive (they become a flat cloying raspberry syrup without the depth and playfullnes of TF and PdM). Bottom line, instead of buying many/FB of cheap clones, I'd recommend buying less - say, decants - of the real deal if there's a budget issue. I don't do clones (there is only 1 exception to this rule - in addition to TF NP and NPF, I also bought Al Haramain's Neroli Canvas. It doesn't have the magic of NP/F, but NP is fleeting and disappears in 1-2 hours on my skin, while Neroli Canvas stays on my skin the entire day... and the scent stands on its own - after all, NP itself is a "clone/inspired by" scent of older perfumes, so one can argue that Neroli Canvas is inspired by the older perfumes as well).
Al Haramain is pretty close to OW tbh...a very good dup. And even for what it lacks in accuracy, I'll go so far as to say its even a really good scent, in its own right. (For reference, I own original OW, 2 CO bottles, Kredo, and Al Haramain -- Ive smelled Versace Oud Noir in-store before). Im typically not a clone guy either (Al Haramain was my first and only clone), but I gotta give credit where credit is due in this instance -- and I say this as a loyal fanboy of OW and CO (which are still the best iterations of this DNA obviously).
By the way George. Are you a fan of horror films? I feel like the way you conduct your cinematography you would create some contagiously atmospheric horror films. Horror is my fave movie genre, but only if it’s good. Keep up the great work, m8…but don’t bust through your last videos too quickly. We need you. 🤘
Alexandria's agar is a spectacular imitation. Spot on. Edit* I got my bottle a few months ago. Haven't sprayed it till just now for basically the whole time I've had it cuz ive been on a tobacco masterkick for months. But im gonna compare them in a few mins.
@@bobbyfischer13 it's dead on. And I'm pretty picky. Especially now that it's been a year. It's honestly like 97%. To the point I prob couldn't tell a diff between my 70$ bottle of agar and my 375$ bottle of OW
Atkinsons His Majesty Oud is my #1 of 150 fragrances I've worn! Between this, DHI, and BDC, I've basically stopped buying fragrances. These are basically my final favorites. Lightning in bottles. Thank you!
Ysl 24 rue de l'Université would be my alternative. Its a favorite in my collection for this time of the year and I think you would like it alot if you love Oud Wood this much :D
Oud wood the fragrance with Oud in the name but not in the bottle. Overpriced , overrated , boring, simple and horribel performance. Do i need to say more??
Just now i was looking for a oud wood alternative and then i recieved this notification ... I love you George
You look great brother. The haircut looks sharp on ya man.
Oh my god, I'm wearing Oud Wood today and i've been waiting for this video

Another fantastic fragrance video, George! Would love to see you do one of these for a lovely fougere fragrance like Beau de Jour. be well! 👍🤟
I was convinced by Carved Oud on first sniff. Instant Full Bottle purchase, and it is really wonderful, possibly even better over time.
Had Versace oud noir first. Got Tom Ford oud wood second. Was in love with oud noir at first scent. Tom Ford was so hyped, I had to have it. That being said, I do prefer Versace. It isn't as sharp. Never owned Oud Wood other than a sample but I own Versace Oud Noir and it's amazing. It was actually my first real foray into Oud a couple years ago.
Versace Oud Noir Edt or Edp bro?

I love the way you formatted this! I'm excited as I've been on a hunt for a worthy clone. Thank you!
Can you tell me if you’ve found one? I’m on the hunt for a clone now..
Really like your content! Thanks for the video, and I really want to check out the king! Sounds awesome!
Fresh weave, big fan
Looking good man, looking fresh
Nice job George!...Oud Wood rocks....
Also try Platinum Oud by Al Haramain. Its really good very smooth and creamy little bit woodier and spicy longevity and quality is super.
I have it, and totally agree with you.
This is a much appreciated series
I don’t think I’d pay full retail but then again Oud Would???….
Corny but good!
Jesus George looking stellar!!
Great picks George 👍👍
Thank you for making this. I’ve been yearning for this, but just can’t find this for under 200 USD. This should help
I quite like Aoud by M Micallef. It's another rose oud combo but I like it as a dryer rose variant to Moschino Toy Boy with a very realistic dark wood vibe.
Everyone keeps saying Carved Oud is better but some say the longevity is under an hour. Which for 400 bux for 100ml... not paying for 1 hr.
I grown to love oud as an ingredient fragrances. And I used Varvatos Artisan Oud and I never turned back.
Nice haircut. Looking polished.
Also try Blend Oud Gold Oud. Sister jousr to Moresque similar to 6F Oud Wood. Thanks for the content. Be safe.
Oud wood + elysium is amazing

@@kumarsen88 yes brotha! But i think Oriflame is not so popular in central Europe and the Uk, although its a swedish brand
@@InterceptorOfDoom and I think it's one of the very rare oud fragrances (like oud wood) which you can wear all year round. 😍
Good evening George he had me at Gucci envy
👍 really active those days 😀

Mate you need to give 'Dixit and Zak' perfumes a chance if Oud and Sandalwood is your thing

I'm gonna buy agar soon. If frag apprentice says it's good I believe him

Prison Blues by Ideo Parfum is the best oud wood type fragrance, infact I like it a lot more than Oud wood.
Atkinsons His Majesty Oud is my #1 of 150 fragrances I've worn! Between this, DHI, and BDC, I've basically stopped buying fragrances. These are basically my final favorites. Lightning in bottles. Thank you!
What fragrance does it remind you of? I’m looking for something close to TF Oud Wood. Thank you.
Hey, so, is the number of videos left for the season? Or ever? What's the deal there?
Ysl 24 rue de l'Université would be my alternative. Its a favorite in my collection for this time of the year and I think you would like it alot if you love Oud Wood this much :D
This is the best I’ve seen your hair look since you had cropped blonde hair.
When are we getting that arkinsons review?
I got 100ml of tobacco oud for £180 from all beauty which I think was a good deal
George - have you tried Dunhill Icon Absolute?
Molecule 01 then with Oud Wood does help me with the longevity of it! Had a lot of complements wearing both
I do the exact same thing
Does Oud Wood have better performance if it’s worn with lotion
Should consider looking into Cambodian Oud by Swedoft
At this rate, the Milisime Imperial review is comming way too soon... George, please slow down, please.
Versace vs Gucci oud? opinions? for first oud fragrance
Now that I know what the roman numerals stand for I'm immediately stressed out when I see them
The best Tom Wood Clone is AGAR PRECIEUX. Try it.
Mancera should do their own Oud Wood tbh
Actually that’s a shout.
Brilliant✌
Nice video.....personally I think CARVED OUD BY THAMEEN, is better than Tom Ford Oud Wood.
Oud Wood 🐐
What about Amaroud Oud Tabac? Has anyone tried it? Does it compare?
Try rirana black wood
Try gold oud by blend oud
I haven’t heard Oud Noir be described as youthful anywhere else.
Wild but high quality is what I aspire to be.
Video #97, wonder what awaits at the end.
MI review
FINAL DEMISE OF CREED 😁
I love Oud Wood, but like many Creed fragrances the performance sucks for the price, even from discounters. George I forbid you from buying anymore.
I got mine from My Origines and the performance is amazing….
No problems whatsoever. I only went for 30ml though which I regret 🤦🏻♂️
Nice hair cut.
Tom Ford=Estee Lauder :)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mukhallat Kalaam Ard Al Zaafaran if you can get it is a good alternative or fake by Aaron Terence Hughes is another
No homo, your hair looks good
George, when your film career takes off, will you stop making fragrance videos on youtube alltogether?
Sampled Oud Noir once, smelled like a public toilet. Soap and piss with a warm oud undertone. Must have been a bad sample I guess?
They sold you a soap and piss decant I guess..
You’re going too fast with your last 100 videos. We’re not ready for this.
Oud wood the fragrance with Oud in the name but not in the bottle. Overpriced , overrated , boring, simple and horribel performance. Do i need to say more??
i agree with the overprice and lack of performance, but the scent is iconic
Yoooo! Where can I get the best price on oud wood 100ml?! People are trying to sexual abuse my wallet
Lalique Encre noir clone 🤷♂️
Tom Ford is very poor in oud performance
Please reconsider your retirement after 100vids , even 1 a month is acceptable 👍
First
If your poor by above Tom ford oud wood 🪵 is much nicer
👍👍👍
