Nice design. We use those fence pickets a lot. May consider a slightly different door for the nest boxes. Chickens like if the top dont open. They get attacked by birds from above. If the door was hinged on the vertical side it does not spook them as much when you get the eggs. That plus linoleum or some sort of plastic based flooring makes clean up a lot easier.
Chickens aren't gonna get attacked in the nesting boxes when the top is opened. You only open it to get the eggs. I have a coop that the nesting box opens the same way his does and it doesn't bother my girls a bit. They're typically not in the nests when I open it. I can count my hens before opening the hatch. lol On the days I do clean the nests, I make sure they're preoccupied in the run with their candy/treats.
I am in the process of building something similar. I've already got the 23 ft long cattle panel run done but I wasn't sure how to complete the shelter/coop area. Awesome job! You've given me great ideas. Thank you for your video. 👍
Be Surprised it’s actually pretty good. The metal and wood actually don’t touch and the door stays open most of the time. So the airflow is actually ok. I could always put a vent in it easily if it becomes a issue
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 Happy chickens! When I saw all that space under the coop I thought that would be a perfect place for dirt bath boxes, away from the weather, yet easy to clean or resupply.
What’s stop rain water from dripping down into the nest boxes from the back of the hatch opening? I’ve built the same setup and I’m getting water dripping down the crack where the hinges are.
Thank you. We have found that it works out as long as you have 4 inches to keep the savings in. We could raise it up then we would lose room. The higher the box the shorter the box has to be. Again thanks for commenting. And Subscribe. Thanks
Great video! What are those latches called or a link would be great. Also how did attach the 2x4 to the cattle panels for the roofing panels? Or are the roofing panels just screwed straight to the 2x4’s?
Already have my hoop coop built but I like your design. Is there a video of you making the wooden part of the coop with dimensions.

Might try gluing linoleum on the floor, it’s a God sent to clean out coop for winter and rainy weather.
Wow... Great build! Shows good imagination and talent. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Thank you, love this design and all of this information!
Your Welcome

Your Welcome, don’t forget to sub
Waiting for your next coop build Please be detailed Like the coop design
Looks great . You need ventilation in that solid hen house. Chickens need good air ventilation.

You did a fantastic job.
Looks good, all you need now is a few dirt bath boxes to complete the chickens pen.
We have them! There 3ft by 2ft
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 Happy chickens! When I saw all that space under the coop I thought that would be a perfect place for dirt bath boxes, away from the weather, yet easy to clean or resupply.
Yeah they go under there all the time. We built boxes just for DE. But they truly love going under the coop or in the tree line to bathe.
Like your coop!👍
Great job on the coop. New subscriber. Looking forward to watching the channel grow.
Good looking coop!
Cool design!

This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks for making this video
Man that is slick thanks for sharing
No problem bud
Nice, simple..just what I need......
Which Coop. After building A-Frame and Hoop Coops. I feel the A frame was easier to build.
Sweet, great job
Subscribed and liked
Take hog panels and attach to each side like a skirt. They hinge to fall to ground and pull up and latch to side for easy movement.
Neat. I really like the design.
Thanks
awesome! about to get a dozen hens and have most the materials to do something similar
Best 1 I've seen yet
Thank you
Love that coo, we're looking to build something simple, sturdy for about 10ish hens. Great ideas, ty
I like my A frames if you need something cheap
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 I would like that as well!
They are around 4-5 hundred dollars. Easy to build
Thank you so much for the detailed tour! How any chickens can comfortably live in there? I'm going to build one exactly like this!
15-20
Excellent design
Just subscribed your channel
Thanks

Just found your channel and subbed! That's a great looking coop! I'm guessing it's a stationary coop?
We have just over an acer
Yes it’s Stationary. Heavy AF
Hey, how did you attach the roofing material to the coop?
That's nice 👍
Fantastic vid. New sub. Great inspiration. How have I not seen you before???
We just Started Putting our videos online
well done
Thank you
Looks great! What was the final cost?
800$ in Materials
What did you spend on it approximately?
It is an almost perfect design except ide raise the beds above the floor a bit more !

Love this design. Do you build for others? We might be neighbors.

Where are you out of?
This looks awesome!!! Do you have plans available for this build?
No we don’t at the moment
do u have plans at this time
No we don’t Sorry
Just found y’all’s channel. Subscribed. How did you attach that end wall for the door to the hog panel? Thanks.
We use Plummer strap
How do you attach the wood to the panel? I could use some guidance please
Great video! What are those latches called or a link would be great. Also how did attach the 2x4 to the cattle panels for the roofing panels? Or are the roofing panels just screwed straight to the 2x4’s?
For 1 there 2x2s for the metal. And we screw it straight threw. Latches are at Lowe’s next to the s hooks
We are wanting to build a hoop house asap. How do you attach your roofing metal? Thanks…..love your design and am following y’all on Facebook.
2x2s
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 do you attach the 2x2 directly to the cattle panels or some sort of framing?
Just screw threw the metal into the 2x2 that pinches the cattle panel & holds it in place
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 thanks......my husband with much colorful language was able to do that. Let me say....we needed extra hands!
Shouldn’t there be some ventilation?
GREAT!!💖
Thanks
so dope
Thanks
Cool
Nesting boxes look a little low. Can't do deep litter with them that close to the floor
There 4 inches deep. You want deeper ones then build deeper ones. 4 inches is fine for what we need
This is the he exact coop I want for my ladies, would it fit 10 chickens comfortably? And what is the cost of this coop?
We have 15 in ours. 1100 materials
How many chickens will this house?
15-20
Man yall showing this coop like fucking high rise condo which it is. 🏫
Go look at my Chicken Resort Video
Lol
What do you do for ventilation?
There’s plenty of ventilation. That’s never been a issue
AWESOME CHICK COOP!!
Thanks
Build me one! :)
What is the house sitting on exactly to be raised?
What do you mean?
I don't see any support under the house itself
Doesn’t need it
Like the design. You just talk to fast to get what you used. Especially the last part when you talked about makeing it predator proof. Subscribed
Had to talk fast! RUclips wants it to be under 10 mins
We used wire mesh around the coop about 2 ft all way around. We buried it. So if something digs. It hits the mesh and stops
