The fact that the cattle panels overlap, it'll actually make the center even stronger! I know Jeremy did that on purpose, but he's being humble! Looks awesome yall!
I just watched my meat bird pen collapse under this foot of WET snow we got and was looking for something cheap and easy to replace it with....FOUND IT. Thanks for that hanger strap tip!
Its a great build! You will like it! We just got about 8" and ours is doing great!! Ill show it i think in today's video. The birds are super dry and out of the wind. Its a great grow out pen!! Meat birds will do well in there!
@@ParagonRidgeRanch Nice! My first meat bird pen took flight and smashed it's self to bits during a microburst...and now my tubing one is crunched. HA. Hoop house will be third time's the charm. I hope. Dern Okie weather makes it interesting.
I built one just like that about 5 yrs ago, lost 3 birds to a skunk the first night. Darn thing went right through the "chicken wire" at the back. Had to cover with hardware cloth instead. Then had to stop the darn thing from digging under! I solved that problem by attaching 2 ft width of chain link fence all the way around and used 9" landscape staples to secure the other side down. Everything loves to eat chicken LOL!
Jeff at Bobble Head Homestead uses hoop coops for his chickens. The only thing that I would do differently is I would use 1/2 inch hardware cloth because the predators I have encountered tear the chicken wire up and kill my chickens, plus hardware cloth lasts longer. You did a nice job on the coop.
Thank you! We love Jeff to pieces!! He’s a great chicken friend!! I would totally used hardware cloth if we had predators problem. Bonnie and Bear protect our farm!
I like the greenhouse idea. I would like to try this to keep all the deer out of the garden. Put container garden inside and add chicken wire to the bottom to keep rabbits out.
You are giving me confidence to build this- I've never built anything in my life. Its been stressing me out for 2 wks. Tomorrow is the day I am going for it! Appreciate the way you showed everything so clearly.
This is the best coop build I have found. It's easy to make and structurally sound. It will provide ample space for my little flock. Thank you for a great video.
Nice chicken coop! Perfect, you can put some eye bolts at the bottom with wire, or rope to pull it to another location with your UTV. Thjs way the chickens will have fresh grass, and bugs daily.
You should have shirts made for your husband "The Crayzee Chicken Husband"....... Lol You guys are awesome and you have some of the most beautiful chickens I've ever seen 👍😊🙏💯
Love that, great job and doesn’t look very expensive if you don’t have the materials already, you could put a little handle on the door to make it little easier to open but overall love it
Great job, it's something I have seen lots of channels do. We are doing something similar with what we have for our meat birds. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless
Great job! Only thing I’d do is either cut or bend over the cut ends of the chicken wire on the opening for the door. I’d be constantly scratching myself on it! I use the old wooden screen molding to cover the cut ends on chicken wire.
Good job. I want to build one and I like how you built yours. The only thing I noticed is there wasn't a roost. I use a ladder type roost for my chicken and it would work well in a hoop.
Hoop coop looks great guys. U can use that for a wide variety of things like rabbits, ducks, puppies, tortoises, kids 😅 (just kidding about the kids). Heck u can even slap a cot in it for urselves 😅. Love it ❤❤. Great job.
Coyotes got one of my cochins because the ground where i moved my coop wasnt level and there was gap under the boards at the bottom just big enough to get my hand under. I didnt notice it until it was too late. i put a 1 foot wide piece of regular fence on the ground around the entire coop to keep critters from going under or digging. The single layer chicken wire on the ends is a huge weak point. raccoons can get thru that in a single night. id put hardware cloth or regular fence there at least at the bottom. im just trying to share my mistakes so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
Excellent job on the hoop coop! Idk if you trimmed the zip straps, but if you do, they're very sharp. I build mine using 1×2 furring strips to hold the panels down inside, and then the tarp down outside. The walls turned out great, no $239 pocket hole jig needed...😂😅 Love ya'll ❤️
Question...is there a reason why you didnt fasten the 1st panel at the farthest end in one place on oposite sides just to hold it while you over lapped it in the middle with the 2nd panel ?
Are you raising these for meat or laying hens? Is 9-10 the max? Is this fairly easy to scoot around for mobility or will you keep it in one place? Thanks!
I actually use it for grow outs, when they come out of the brooder in the barn. We Do move it, it is heavy but together we scoot it a bit at at time. It would work well for heavies or hens, I wouldn't put more then 10 maybe
Use plastic gutters and just hang it on the side of your hog wire sent a video from zombie something but you can use some plastic gutters with the end caps that hook over what year coin cattle wire Wire that thick wire that you made The hoop out of

Great Build! And it's somewhat portable too - with some muscle, can be moved around the yard.
Yes it is! We’ve moved ours a few times now.

Looks so cute!! Looks pretty easy to make. I am thinking that would make an excellent green house if using clear plastic. Good job!
I like the greenhouse idea. I would like to try this to keep all the deer out of the garden. Put container garden inside and add chicken wire to the bottom to keep rabbits out.
Awesome job on the chicken coop

You can do it!! Just take your time and you will amazed how easy it comes together! Best Wishes!!
Got your chickens in it yet?
Good job guys looks fantastic God bless your family
Amazing job on the hoop coop, Jeremy! Thank you for the tutorial!
You are amazing!!!❤

Awesome 👌🏽
I really like that chicken coop! Great job!
Thank you guys for taking the time to show us how to make it. Very nice.
Looks great ❤ 😊
Great idea😊
turned out awesome
It would be nice to have some of the boards from the old garden now. Nice job on the hoop coop also.
Y’all made that look easy
You made it look so easy
Looks great! Awesome project!
A latch on the inside is helpful too. When they get bigger they can push through when your back is turned.
Best build ever. You make it so clear and easy to follow.☺️👍
That was an awesome job!!!
That looks good. This would be great for a litter of kittens too.
Y’all have a great week ahead
Great job
Looks great
Good job!
Love it!
Wow first time I've seen anyone use that strap, it is a great idea 👍❤️

The chicken coop, (could easily be tractor) is great! I love it! I m pretty sure I could do that too.

Best video I’ve come across to build a hoop coop! Thank you so much
Love that, great job and doesn’t look very expensive if you don’t have the materials already, you could put a little handle on the door to make it little easier to open but overall love it
Great job. I made my hoop coop using a 15'7' green house frame.
Good job, guys!!!😊🎉❤
Hello Chrissy and Jeremy. Easy and simple. Very nice hoop coop. Great job. Love it. Have a great day.👍👍

Nice!!! You did a great job. And its not so big its heavy to move.
Thanks for the information
Thank You!!!!!
You're welcome!

Yes, we built them a long swing roost inside, hung with rope from the top

maybe put some wheels on one end and a drawbar on the other, that way you can change location periodically to give them fresh grass and bugs
that would be easier! right now we just scoot it back and forth to move them to fresh space.

Awesome job what size? Cattle panel did you purchase.
They are 16 foot long, I think 3 tall
Did you put chicken wire on the bottom to keep out predators from digging under?
No. We have no predator problems. Bonnie and Bear do their job well
💜💜💜
That's a really nice hoop coop. It's nice having a handy husband I'll bet.
Very nice hoop coop!
❤
could you send 3 egg laying chickens to Borger Tx?
🤠🤘♥️
yes its nice but what about rats or other predator going through the bottom via the dirt as there is nothing to stop them.
We have livestock guardian dogs, no predators sneaking around here :)
👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Great job?
I LOVE IT
