Hey Ryan, thanks for this video. Looking back at my Mahadasha of Budha in my teen years up to my early 20s, I remember that the effects of Mercury is not that it makes one wishy washy or two faced, rather it's about being observant and seeing which side has more hold on the truth about a matter compare to the opposite view point. So if others see it as wishy washy or two faced, it's just that they do not understand the fact that Mercury makes the native more...impartial/observant. But of course, as you mentioned, it relates more to the planet it's sitting with. So one's aptitude would cling more to what is most familiar to one's observance and standpoint.

Strangely, my daughter (also sagg ascendant), has mecury alone on an angle. but hers is exalted, whereas mine is in the 7th.

+sudan raut Since we are getting Mercury Starved by Saturn in the 9th, it could be difficult for Mercurial things, however, Mercury will delight Saturn, so Saturnine influences could be easier to manage. For a thorough, less vague analysis, you'd need to have an astrologer read the whole chart from the 9th.

What if Mercury is in Virgo in the 12th. Is it a combination of both experiences ?

I've heard if Mercury is by itself it is an indication not to listen to what the person says since they will tend to be manipulative and cunning with their words....I have Mercury alone in the eighth house in my navamsha chart so how does something like that factor in?
Mercury would need to be in bad dignity, influenced by malefics for that to occur.
oh ok, that is a relief as I have lots of aspirations for writing and communications, it is in the 8th house in Navamsha (aquarious Rising in both birth and navamsha chart with Mercury in Virgo in the latter) so I hope I can rest easier that my Pisces sun in the second will not interfere either. ***** Parashara doesn't spell everything out. Part of the process of learning (which most teachers never state or maybe don't understand) is that one has to pay attention and use the teaching as framework and then logic out the rest. Imagine if Parashara had to spell out EVERY detail, he'd still be alive and have written millions of works!
