For fan of Joshua. This fight was 7 years ago, and Joshua clearly lost that fight 1-2 for advantage of Majidov. But today I doubt that 3 times World champ among amateurs Majidov can beat Joshua in pro boxing. Dillian Whyte also won Joshua in amateurs even with more advantage, so what? Joshua destroyed him after years in pro ring.

That was a bloody close fight, first round clearly Joshua, second clearly the Azerbaijani. 3rd I gave a very slight edge to Joshua. but I couldn't disagree with the judges. Very close. Good fight.

Snap! That was the first thing that came into my mind after witnessing that decision. You can be sure that Jonas will get the decision against the American and will meet Taylor in the quarter final. Katie will need to win big to make sure. I think the Irish boxers might be the only ones that have a chance of escaping the brown envelope treatment from the judges. Imagine if Johnjoe Nevin was on the receiving end of a decision like that one tonight. It would be mayhem in the boxing arena!

Jose Cedillo of course you get stronger. Keep boxing, eating good and healthy, do strangth training, go for runs every day. This isn't something that happens over night, it takes time and dedication.

Haha yeah. Yeah Savon was very quick and light on his feet for a super heavyweight. Even if Joshua does end up winning the gold, it'll always be tainted by that decision. It's a shame because he seems like a nice lad. I hope Katie Taylor isn't on the receiving end of another home decision, if she fights the British girl Natasha Jonas in the quarter finals. Hopefully she'll win emphatically so there can't possibly be a dodgy decision.
Watching this fight convinces me Anthony Joshua has got what it takes to make it in professional boxing. He shows a lot of heart here added to his great natural athletic talent punching power. And more than anything he showed a very good chin. Which he will need more than anything else

i dont think so... i dunno about if you use the amateur points scoring system, but if you use the pro system, i'd say that this azerbaijan guy won... anthony won the first round hands down, but he didn't really have any definitive moments whereas the azerbaijanian guy was walloping him pretty good several times

this was bias and foul you could see the English boxer landing cleaner blows and his jab and straight right was on point im not saying the other boxer didn't do well but not as good as Joshua from England and just be strong and not let your spirit die down, because scoring like this some of them want to quit sometimes,the judges made the wrong decision but i guess cause he is the home-town guy he would have won because it was close.
