31st MEU Raid Force Conducting Simulated Raid

- Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's Maritime Raid Force conduct a simulated raid at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 25, 2019, as part of a command and control exercise. The MEU, through this groundbreaking exercise, is completing split operations across a large swath of the Indo-Pacific region encompassing at least four geographic locations - Okinawa, Japan; aboard the dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) in the South China Sea; aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD 20) in the Gulf of Thailand; and other undisclosed locations. This is the first time any Marine expeditionary unit has completed this level of simultaneous operations - from rapid-response planning to mission completion - across such a large geographic region within the Indo-Pacific. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU partnering with the U.S. Navy’s Amphibious Squadron 11, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. The technology and gear are so good these days.
Cheers from a Polish Canadian.
5:40 'bro its been 30 minutes whats taking so ...i wonder what the wife is cooking tonight?"
It can be like that sometimes
I appreciate seeing the M45A1's in a couple holsters on the team
@Travers Kilroy Cooper Alvirez Marine Recons and Army Special Forces are known for carrying 1911 style pistols. Para-Ordnance, M45A1's, Kimbers, and even Delta Operators had original M1911A1's in Operation: Serpent and Desert Storm
Why because they’re making poor choices?
Travers Kilroy Cooper Alvirez it’s critical flaws weren’t due to the quality control tolerances at Colt. The M45A1 issues are inherent to the 1911 as an overall design.
Weight and capacity.
B H army special forces and marines predominantly carry glocks. Army hasn’t had a 1911 in a long time. The marines bought a hunch that failed the test and handed them out then the raiders promptly started carrying glocks.
приклад отверстие the 45s had serious flaws that came up in testing.
Anyone know how the breacher connected the PVC pipe to his kit to hold the sledge? Genius!
Zip ties, duct tape, and good vibes. Make sure too dummy cord it to you though.
Drill holes in pipe and run either zip ties or 550 Cord through the holes, then through the mol-e in your kit.
Its an actual molle attatchment you can buy them for any molle vest. Police have them too
5 minutes through a plank barricaded door... Imagine someone inside had a grenade...
Or laying prone under a bed with a beltfed, nightmare scenario for the flow.
In real life the people inside would shoot through a wall
It wasn't plank wood, it was two layers of wood with galvanized steel lattice in between. The lattice sheet looked to be layered through the structure and was wider than available door space. It's just a simulated obstacle provided to adapt and overcome. Carry on.
Suppressors, Stealth, and....a circular saw.
What are we trying to protect here, criminals? Next time use some indoor demo and they’ll still be alive if that’s the intent. Leave that tool for the firefighters and the rescue teams.
Somewhere out there, there is a 1stSgt or SgtMaj wondering: 1: Why did they muster on the grass. 2. Why are their trousers not uniformly bloused 3. Why are their sleeves not down 4. Why are not wearing authorized Marine Corps issue boots...
I heard the Sgt major grabbed the 1stSgt's dick the other day.
LOL so true.
Eh it's the cowb- I mean- MEUs anyway. They get to do what they want 😂
Bc they’re boot ass pogs
Sad, but true. That kind of mindset is found in most services when it comes to uniform regulations. Typical peace time, garrison mindset.
Just seeing that V-22 is awesome
Why does the one devil dog repeatedly have his nightvision flipped down during daylight? Hard to hold security when you can't see
they were flipped down but opened up so they're out of the way, doesnt seem advisable but if he likes to run them that way i dont see much of a problem.
Oh ok, I didn't notice that they were rotated out of the way. I agree with you, but personally I prefer having a clear field of view so I'd rather put them on top of my helmet
@@somefellern the bigger problem i think would be quick transitions from no nods to nods since you would have to rotate them individually instead of just putting them down in one motion. However im also not marine spec ops so who am I to say anything.
Because he is an Operator, that's why.
Having them flipped down makes them less likely to impede movement (think low roofs, ceilings wires and branches), given the fact that this was a daytime raid there’s no need to worry about quickly turning them on, that’s what white lights are for.
5:38 that guy has the biggest balls with that saw grinding away at the barricade in the fatal funnel
think this is a NEO, not a raid - a raid would have been fast, violent and would have surprised anyone on the target....if executed correctly
Yea super slow flow clearing through doors into rooms
As someone who was given tactical training by a Marine, I can tell you they probably don't know the difference,

@@MarineServices Just seeing this vid brings back alot of memories
HAHA! I was in Oki then. The 30-Worst MEU had a SSgt who lived out in town. This SSgt raped a girl and the Marine Command Response genius idea was to restrict all E5-below back to the BEQ! That was enough stupid for me. Love the Corps - hate the morons that land themselves in positions of power though.

His NVGs were rotated up, I'm assuming he had PVS 31 NVGs on so it's possible to rotate them out of the way.

Can anyone explain to me what the difference between a MEU unit and force recon or is there Force recon meu's or at they apart of men's and what's the difference between them and other men's 1300 assault men?? Please And thank you.
Hey so the main difference you'll see is that Force Reconn is tasked with Deep Reconn so going behind enemy lines where there's little to none friendly support invovled.

Ok so I see that some of these Marines has better equipment as helmets and binary night vision with eotechs and maginifers, while some has regular kevlar helmets and standard acog on the m16 or m4s? what is with that? Thank you!
kinda old comment but from other comments i believe that the doods with the cool stuff are force recon and the other guys are regular infantry
@@cloroxmints355 I figured thank you man!
Just curious, in that situation shouldn’t the breached have gone for an explosive breach?
Yes that’s possible , another. Possibility could have been that they wanted to train with that method of entry
Indoors? No. Unless you wanted to be a room away when it goes off.
So much for element of surprise. Cannot possible move quickly with the heavy construction equipment.

Filipino soldiers have one of the best jungle and urban fighter technigue in the world.. U.S Armed Forces have the best technology... Do not underestimate the filipino soldiers..
Some of them look like spec ops
Some of them are, some are force recon and some are regular infantry their to provide support and security. Plus some non infantry guys for support with various tasks like the IED.
I hope to God we never need them to break up rioting in the US.
They would be much more respectful, reasonable, and better equipped to handle stressful situations. They don’t treat citizens like they treat enemies, those are completely different hierarchies of treatment
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Looked like a pretty sloppy op. Looked awkward with a lot of uncoordinated movements. More practice needed. Also couldn't help but notice that the medic started a line in the "wounded" guy's injured arm. Should have used the other one.
What type of helmets do they use?
