    Schott didn't invent the leather motorcycle jacket. Beck started selling Beck 333, the first ever motorcycle leather jacket in 1928, and Schott started OEM for 333 in the early 1930s. Before Schott, Leather Togs was the company which OEMed 333 first.
    Schott still has been producing the "hand" made in USA jackets for all these years. They are fantastic and high quality. I love mine.

    The Marlon Brando jacket in the film "The Wild One" was made by Durable. James Dean wore some jackets made by Sportclad/JC Penny and Cal Leather. Very misleading.

    Lewis Leathers started in 1892... they make motorcycle jackets and have done for years. What makes a Schott jacket a better proposition than a Lewis Leathers jacket?

  • @airvelvet1968

    Like schott, thank you for delivering the coolest riders jacket to Japan. Recently, Guitar Wolf who loves Japanese band schott switched to UK 's Lewis Leathers. It is a traitor who made a guitar wolf bespoke item. Please beat the "Lewis Leathers company" in tune.

    I love your jackets but when you say you've worked with Marlon Brando, James Dean, Bruce Springsteen and The Ramones what you mean is they (or a costume designer) bought a jacket from you...or a thift store. They have undoubtedly been a better advertisement for your jackets than money can buy but you didn't work with them.

    • @ChesttRockkwell
      @ChesttRockkwell 5 лет назад

      I imagine it means they’ve worked with them as in working with them to create a custom jacket for these people.

    But Marlon wore it and we put the zipper on the jacket so thats why we can sell it for so much at such low quality!

    Someone tell these guys to contact Revzilla and design a legit motorcycle jacket for once. This isn't 1965!!!! Real bikers ride with armor. Falling hurts. Road rash isn't our only concern! Get it right and I will gladly give you my money.

      +lemonblazer What a real biker? I mean whats he look like , hows he act that's different from someone that wears a schott 618 to ride?

    • @lemonblazer
      @lemonblazer 8 лет назад +3

      +susan heath do you ride? Not all bikers use armor. But those who have fallen before tend to.

    Made in the USA doesn't mean anything if the product is low grade.
    I'm proud to wear a shitty coat made in the USA!
    1Leather looks like its from 10 different cows!
    2Arms are too Short(even with xl and I am normally a med/lg)
    3Zippers are mega and look cheap!
    4Zippers cut your hands when reaching in pockets!
    5Plaid lining feels cheap and is not comfortable against skin!
    6Jacket is heavy but does not keep you warm!
    I went through 3. a med a large and a xl, and I hated them all.
    I'v decided to pay more for a higher quality jacket thats not as mass produced.
    K thats my last hateful comment.

      You might have a bad experience with one piece. I am telling you - I have 5 Schott jackets, made of different materials. All of them are great to wear and tear.

    • @DannyForeva
      @DannyForeva 9 лет назад +1

      I got a L and then a XL and they both had to short of sleeves. It made no sense these jackets are motorcycle jackets they are suppose to have long sleeves. Not to mention my arms are normal length. Plus both jackets I got from SCHott seemed to be low quality the leather itself was not that nice to the touch the zippers were irregularly large the zippers on the pockets scraped my hands when I reached into them. The inner flannel fabric was uncomfortable. The BLK DNM one is twice the price and way nicer. Theres a reason why Schott Jackets always go on sale.

    • @lriper4702
      @lriper4702 5 лет назад

      Isaac Asimov I agree in some points with you. Sleeves are very short for riding a motorcycle! Very very short... some leather peaces have different quality than others in the same jacket...

    on a hot 90 degree day, there is no way in hell, I would ever be caught dead wearing any leather or jacket at all. No way. Not saying shorts and a tank top, but not heavy ass hot clothes either. gotta be comfortable. How m any hells angels do you see riding around with tons of gear on?
