I would get the RSQ8.
Every now and then I one posted on Craigslist, OfferUp, and Ebay.

Remember the days in the early 2000s when a car running less than 15 seconds was considered super fast? Haha now an Altima can do less than 15
Range rover SVR.
I love mine, it's had a little tweak .
Alex, I enjoyed your video. Now let's go back to the garage and finish up that beautiful V12 SL65.
CL65.
☺☺😊
Those Tiptronic ZF transmissions Never dissapoint, every german car ive had, they have been smooth as ever
ZF 8HP is Frank's red hot, put that shit in everything
I test drove a 435i with a ZF8HP transmission and for the first time ever, I wouldn't miss the manual. Loved it.
yeah, perfect for tailgating others wherever they go
@@procerus3654 What .? Lol
Anybody got that new tune that increases the clamping pressure and makes it change like that Audi? It makes it more reliable even. Some of the UK guys have been applying it to the BMW cars, like the M140i
I predict six or seven years from now the car wizard will do a video highlighting an Audi RSQ8 bought by Hoovie that will, undoubtedly be mechanically totaled.
A nickel says it will be a white one with a Volicity tune😂
100%, dealer prices on repairs are absolutely mad, just for a headlight you will be spending thousands..
@@manicap I can't see the drivetrain lasting long enough to worry about headlight prices🤔
i say 2 years all that power eventually will fall apart, yes hoovie be finding one on the cheap and saying what a hell of a deal it was then the car wizard will go it only cost 72K to fix it! wait we cant get some of the parts
@@danielmckenzie6858 Two years? The way that rear end squats already, I give it six months 🤔
Alex's next episode will see him searching for a wrecked on of these on Auto Tempest to get one.
I thought the same thing 😂🤌🏻🇨🇴🙏🏻👍🏻
That, or copart auctions.
should be easy cars like these depreciate in value quickly because people beat the heck out of em. plus some kid with that much power wrapped it around a tree
That screen would so trigger my OCD! I would be cleaning that sucker every day.
They actually give you a cloth to wipe down the screen..
I have a small micro fibre in my car and a quick 2 second wipe everyday is all that is needed.
Another fun video. I’m 67 and have been a car guy for decades. What one can buy just of of the showroom is simply amazing. Than you again.

My favorite part about Alex is his sense of humor unlike this guy 🔼

They do that stock when ACC is on.
@@Powersproductions130 Adaptive Cruise Control does that??
It's not on when running
Why would you lower the RS6? Its stance is perfect.
It’s not for stance, it’s for handling..it’s not like it’s springs. it’s a module.
Idk man, aesthetically I’d like it 0.5 - 0.75 inches lower. Fender gap could be a tad better managed.
@@sheshellsseasells my understanding is that the handling is already excellent, but to each their own, right?
@@rickbdatsun this is true, but the module doesn’t mean it stays lowered. It is adjustable. I’m guessing for track days.
Sick. I just bought a used 2017 Q7 Technik. Speaking of depreciation, the guy who traded it in optioned it out to the sum of $115,000 Cdn. I paid 53,000. It only had 16,000km.
good deal fellow canadian. Im trying to convince the wife to give up her grand cherokee

Alex you need an Audi for the channel!!!
He’s got enough cars that need engine out service right now.
@@daveh2612 you make it seem like every Audi requires an engine out job... coming from an owner of 4 previous Audis and 2 current Audis. i’ll be the first to tell you it’ll run forever if it was taken care of by the first owner.... i only buy Audis from CPO or from the original owner.
@@loganclaproth i’m not saying every Audi but I’m saying that working in the salvage industry I see lots of really nice low mileage Audis and BMWs that are mechanically totaled. And both companies have done some pretty dumb things with very expensive engines.
Hey Alex, nice intro.
I know you love to use your Vbox for 0-60 times but you need to get your own Dragy, the best part is that you can take a video of the run and show the numbers on screen, and then you can add that recording to your videos, it's really awesome!
Peep the og 9-3 in the background😍
Lol real car guy here, you my friend have a taste for the finer thing life
Good eye! And a great car
I don't think you should have been worried about that Maserati that tried to pass you. You had two Nissans pass you 😂
Just bought a 23 RSQ8. Cant wait for delivery and this is my first daily performance car. This is going to be a fun ride
All right! So where is the reassembly video of the V12 7,000 dollar part replacement going back together? Sure was lookin Forward to hearing that inimitable sound.
It doesn't exist yet. I'm waiting on lots of parts
@@LegitStreetCars Thanks 👍😄
Here in Finland these start at 217 k euros. Taxes (118 keur of those) included. 😂 And with options you add to their prices also taxes ~80 %. For example the ceramic brakes are 21 keur
Audi spends millions designing their suspensions and than people lower them and ruin the ride quality. For what just to say your car is lowered.
Ehm.. they are designed so good that they continuously break just in stock form
Agree, people can’t resist messing with perfection, to look “cool”.
It’s a lowering module that runs on factory air suspension. Nothing is ruined.
You can buy the cars off them and put the factory suspension back on if you would like.
Hey legit street cars I remember how crazy all the amgs were in the early 2000s that you work on. Back then Audi was sorta in the background. Now Audi makes the most crazy cars that are as mind blowing as the amgs were back then. Hope to see more of these audis on your channel man love em

How long is it going to take to get rid of the need for unpleasant noises before one can enjoy a car? Back in the 50's, the cars with the biggest engines were also the quietest, which was really great. I am happy that my EV, modest in performance as it is, was made before the little bit of noise was mandated to warn pedestrians. I enjoy it the most with the windows open in parking garages, where every tire scrch is audible. Anyway, the end of the ICE age is upon us, like it or not.
Flush away all the vermin
Use to help a shop here an miss it. We made our own graphics an even build are own body kits an custom interiors. The only thing we didnt do was engine work other then maybe turbos. We built alot of cars for SEMA autoshow every year. Alot of work but was always fun.
13:30 - Yah. My car has over 300 ponies and it's probably considered a slow car in the states. Here in europe it's a lot faster than pretty much anything else. Even my daily with 150 has twice as much as the average car.
Yah it's crazy how there so different.
That is a beautiful SUV and the best thing she is very quick I love it
Where will we be in 15 years? 🤔 Well have you seen the latest on how EPA is cracking down. Not looking good for modded cars!
That thing squats!
Was just looking at the Instagram post on this then I got the notification 🤣
30 years ago someone had a dragster ride (Front wheels in a T track). Always wanted to go on it.
19:20 i said that exact same sentence word for word, when i drove a telsa years ago
I have my RS6 for about 14 months. Left it stock for 7 months then tuned it, has a custom racing titanium exhaust with down pipes. Makes about 1012 hp and we hit 211 mph on the AuthoBahn
Hoovie thought it would never happen and look at him now
Lovely gentle test drive. Legit!
I love the 2.7 second (0-60mph) launches on a stock Mercedes 2018+ Mercedes E63S AMG. Dynos show Mercedes Severely underrated it, considering the Mercedes GT63S is the Fastest Production 4 door sedan on the Nurburgring 🤷♂️😂 and it has the same exact Power Train minus the Active-Aero & Suspension
Wauw Alex, what a great experience! I’m so jealous
Alex have you thought of working on a 450 SL ENGINE REBUILD THANKS
Burning the Maserati mid review 😂 hell ya
Some good looking wheels for this SUV would be the Weld RT-S S71.
I think those would look better on Hellcats! But how about BBS CHR?!
I have 2021 Charger Scat Pack WB with ZF 8 speed, and this trans RIPS!! I love it, first car when I tend to leave it in D :D Track mode makes it that you get a headache from shifts, lol.
People on the highway like bro what's this guys deal? haha 'He wants to race me'??
that base price is very good considering the Dutch price tag of 204.315 euro or converted back to dollars 243.201 us dollars!?! a whole free car with 20.000 dollars to spare!?! thats insane
Those co2 taxes truely have gone insane here in Holland....
Oh Alex, you know damn well you are going to be driving your C63 amd reveling in that V8 engine.
@@Private011 the C63 is a V8. My step-father gets a new one every three years. The car he got from Hoovie is a V12. But Alex has a C63

Those need mapping for them to be quicker response and less turbo lag.
forget the doug score, introducing the alex smile-o-meter lol. I don't think the score for the audi would be as high as the score for the properly running e55 wagon though.....
07:21 drops wallet ......cracks screen...lol
Audi RSQ8 is cool but there's just something about a wagon not to mention the resale on it will most likely be insane. It dawned on me its been 2 years since you bought the cdi's damn time flies, tripped over your channel about the 402k miles E55. I guess it does when your having fun, keep it up.
2021?!?!? Its so old. Give us 2022!
Alex, pls explain how car companies do this variable torque distribution in a 4WD. I have read about VW to use a visco(se) clutch. Do japanese carbuilders use different methods to achive that goal?
Ridge wallets rock!
If no ones racing these and the slow trans is not a big deal, why's it have 700hp?
They want it to break faster.
I find myself watching this, but thinking about the wagon.
Gotta love that intro 👌🏻
Looking forward to the RS6 content. I read the comparison in Motor Trend to the Mercedes and the Porsche wagons. I like to hear your take on it.
My boy be stealing daddy's Doug's viewers
Most of us can hardly stand Doug anymore.
Fancy Audi, great video Alex!
Intro was awesome 👍👍😂
Believe it or not fiat is the same way, flash the transmission and gopedal, unleash the beast. All their models are beasts with just a simple tune
Hahahahahahahahaha. NO!
That thing sounds so sick!
A fast/ loud SUV looks so fun. Exactly why i want a ML63/ Cayenne Turbo
I owned a used 1998 Audi A8 for about three years. Loved the car. Didn't love the complexity of fixing things. I don't mind working on cars but its a pain when the same items break or simple things to fix need to have half the car taken apart . Are the newer Audi cars more reliable and easier to work on?
I foolishly took on a Q8 in my new M3 while on the post delivery tour of Germany...as i hit the limiter the Q8 walked away from me like no tomorrow. Lesson learned!
I love the intro haha 😄
I get to see a 21 RSQ8 everyday :)
I feel more inclined to watch now that I know that we have the same first name lol
tuned zf trans shifts harder with padle shifters most of the time.
Alex, I have a garage with 15 vintage motorcycles, all two stroke, manufactured from the early 60's to the mid 00's. No way in hell I will ever give up riding these things - and you should have the same attitude with your ICE four wheel cages ("biker slang" for automobiles). Sure I just bought a hybrid Avalon - because it was a bargain, not because I'm a tree hugger - it is something my 89 yo mother will enjoy driving.
I'm not yet at the point of pulling the trigger on a '15-16 e63S AMG, but I hope to be soon (your influence has a lot to do with this). Performance will always be a requirement. Heck, my 25 year old Explorer (w/ 500K mi) has a FoMoCo performance header and Borla exhaust - because I could. No one can stop me.
Time for you to move away from Chi town. Outside of LA/CA, Chicago/IL is probably the worst place to live in regard to rules and regulations controlling/ruining your life. At least move to IN and commute in ... once you taste a bit of more freedom than you have now, you will understand.
And yes, more updates on the SL65 please. Thanks for all you do, and I truly hope you have an awesome week!
I dont think anything sounds better than a Trackhawk buuuut, this is in there!
Hi Max…Alex you rock…I hope we still have Combustion engine vehicles in 15 years..I may be an outlaw if they try to do away with them…
Audi has already bailed on the lower touch screen. Dangerous and terrible on the move.
ICE FOREVER !!!!!
Audi stole that front design from Lada Vesta
We’re going to need flux papaciter lol
My gf parked next to one of these today with a decal that said " yes it's a racecar, & NO you can't drive it", and she snickers and says" Your minivan will NEVER be a racecar" I kinda laughed a bit too
Great car for a weekend
If we continue with this DemocRats party in the WH, we would be driving bicycles in the future...
Fact.
I live in south Africa and I have to say electric in 15 year is a deep pipe dream, we just discovered building and tuning, well we've been in it for a while but accessibility is only growing now. And our electricity infrastructure is terrible. Importing a Tesla here costs as much as two of those Audis or the cost of a Lamborghini Urus and some change so no
The crazy thing is that this $130k vehicle will be available for $30k in 5 years....Audis depreciate big time
There will be internal combustion cars for the rich people only; very high prices, taxes for ownership, taxes for "grand guzzlers", taxes for Carbon emissions, an so on
Very fast... but it looks like a dead ringer for my brothers 2013 Ford Edge Sport.
WoW good call, after you mentioned it you're 💯 right.
In 15 years there will be ICE beaters on the road still, and legendary ICE cars will be like your dads 60s 70s muscle cars, garage queens, take them out on the weekend -- why not also? You enjoy them more that way, they become more special, but there is 0 chance that electrification won't fully take over, it makes sense, they're better in every way other than the "soul". The "soul" should be experienced when you have time to enjoy it on the weekends. Also, it will be funny to see our kids reaction to daddy's stick shift Hellcat in the garage, like will they care? I think maybe but I don't know it will be as impactful as living during the ICE era.
Actually the new GLS 63 and GLS600 actually sit on 23’s all around with 325’s in the rear!!
It’s all good
These are some real cars kids
My $3000 lancer had aluminum paddle shifters lmao
Beautiful! and sounds hangry too!
$130k sticker and they didn't ceramic coat the centre console screen to stop the fingerprints... 🤦♂️
I sure hope that thing sounds better in person than it does on camera. Sounds like it's about to launch a piston through the hood at any moment.
See if you can get your hands on a Mercedes Benz with the AMG version of the M256 engine.
When the Chicago city sticker is $1,000 and you have to pay a gas vehicle possession tax, you can still enjoy that new Audi RS 12.
Mayor Lightfoot needs that cash
These are neat, but I think it would make more sense as an "RSQ7" - kinda like the X5M versus the X6M. These slope-roofed SUV's are weird. You take a practical thing, then make it way less practical. Just very odd, and seems like everyone's making them now.
So odd but on video that sounds just like my 16 camaro ss with 2" long tubes. I mean I closed my eyes just to really hear it and it sounds very very similar. Wouldn't expect that
Oh and that's faster than my e30 m340i 3.3 is the fastest its gone.
