My first BMW was a 2003 325i metallic silver. I bought it in 2003 and kept it for 10 years. I've owned 3 other BMWs since then. The 2003 is still my favorite.
@@lightonorganic4789 I had to replace a couple of the window regulators. The door locks had some issues after 10 years but other than that it was a great car.
Mark Jastrzebski okay I’m thinking of purchasing one for $2500 with 170,000 I want to get it but worried about the mechanics of the car breaking down like alternator/transmission etc and it being expensive to fix have gotten mixed reviews on how often they are likely to have major issues
I've had the 2005 325xi silver same interior as this one for almost 5 years now. Awesome car, timeless imo. Just wish I had a 330 model to see what more power could do.
I just realized something.... Those gauges are visible in the day time. My Infiniti has dark gauges and the lights on them went out, now I can't even read them in the day time.
Would you recommend this vehicle for a new driver? I'm 17 and I've had a license for over a year. I've been looking at one of these at my local used car lot that has 111,000 miles on it. They're asking 7,800 dollars for it but I talked to them and they're willing to do 7,300 dollars. It has a clean record with only one previous owner.
If your parents can help you with the maintenance costs, or if it's had the VANOS, DISA valve, Oil filter housing gasket, subframe, clutch, and cooling system replaced, then you're good. make sure the guy has records, if not, walk away. also, get a pre purchase inspection and test drive if you're serious about the car. go to e46 fanatics to find out more, search up buyers guide e46. I'm in the same boat as you, looking for my first car :)
plasticanimalcrackers I got the car for my 17th birthday ( my profile pic ) it's a nice easy car to drive with heavy, but direct steering, pretty fast too. $7,800 is a fraud price for this car with 111,000 miles, the price range of these should be in the range of $2000-$4200 In the area I live in I could've got a 2005 7 series for $7,800....
I love these cars. I am the owner of a 1998 e46 320i and it runs Like new. Farngrun whit the chrome trim 5 speed Manuel. In europe you dont want a automatic gearbox
There should be something like what the last guy said and for the negative you can put it on the bolt where the struts go on top. Don't try lol I think it is that but I don't remember well
Great car for anybody cheap and reliable but make sure if you go and buy one if it still has a plastic bottem drive it then flash light and check the bottem for lose fluids
"almost feel brand new" should be "Feel almost brand new" That is not LEATHER steering wheel. Your this / Your that. Love the car, but you're pointing out the obvious! For future speaking engagements NEVER say, "Go ahead and..." ever! Fascinating how that KEY works. And we didn't even drive the car. I'm exhausted.
Sherwin Cezar Mostly the cooling system, if you know how to do work yourself, you can save a ton of money. Replacing the thermostat, cooling hoses and radiator were the first things I did on my 2003 328Ci, have owned it for 4 years and I haven’t had a problem ever since, they are much more reliable than what people would have you believe as long as you keep up with regular maintenance and replace normal-wear parts. I can’t speak on if the price is right as mine was inherited by my mother, who owned it from new, but there are plenty of forums out there that can help you on that. If you can get a low-mile, one-owner example, you will get a truly amazing car for not a lot of money.
3:31 when he said exellent soundsystem i stopped watching coz the e46 has one of the worst sound systems everrrr created. The woofers are made of paper (!) and there is no bass and no highend.
Dude the camera control tho. It's not a 2nd pair of eyes to move around so fast. Got car sick dizzy from swaying around everywhere so fast. Had to stop watching
It's rare seeing an old BMW that's so clean. I love these older 3 series. They age very well and always look great
Also my dads bmw is manual not automatic

Mark Jastrzebski legendary e46
Any mechanical issues?

what was the mileage when you first got the 2003 325i?
An oldie, but still a goodie. This model has aged so well!
This thing is really clean. Previous owner must have taken good care of it!
I agree! this was one of the best generations of the 3 series in my opinion
e30 was by far the best. just a bit too old now.
Still classy after all these years
Tommy Siro this car is a weak 2.4l engine the car sounds like a vacuum cleaner and engine response lags horribly.
Juan Martinez mate it’s a very old car dk want you expect it to be,not like it’s gonna sound like a v10🤦🏼♂️
I hope I get one of these as my first car
Same here! Might get one this week if everything works out when I go see the car in person.
@kartoffel Salat - I actually went with a 1998 528i because I got a way better deal on it.
OutNProud500 hows it treating you?
I've had the 2005 325xi silver same interior as this one for almost 5 years now. Awesome car, timeless imo. Just wish I had a 330 model to see what more power could do.
i LOVE those. Will probably get one as my first car.
ben_ you should !
Same but I prefer the first to be manual
I just brought home a 2012 bmw 328i
I might be getting one of these on Friday if everything goes the way it should. Hopefully it does cause this is quite a gorgeous car!
About to get one too👌🏼 checking her out tomorrow wish me luck 😭👌🏼
This car is way better with a manual.
excellent review!!! the best one I've seen so far. and I own one same model e46 2002 ,i love the car
is the 03 bmw 325xi a good first car?
Dan Lins im looking to buy one
Getting the same exact model for my first car hopefully!
Best review I've watched! You are a great salesman :) Thank you for the tour!
I just realized something.... Those gauges are visible in the day time. My Infiniti has dark gauges and the lights on them went out, now I can't even read them in the day time.
it's me Jake from state farm
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
I just bought one but in ocean blue color for 2300, absolutely love the car just wondering how I can put an aux cord.
The radio must be 2005 you can get aux on amazon
I like the steering suspension on these cars which I find is very good.
"car was very well looked after" *shows the broken kidney grill about 3seconds after saying that* lololol
tbf the car was super clean.
Bought one yesterday. She behaves.
Do you still have the Fiesta????
Buying one of these next year
I have the same one but mine has heated seats
wow excellent video very professional, you are at the level of Saabkyle04 in reviews definitely subscribed.
shadowkillergta I agree
No he's a wannabe Sabbkyle04 👌
I still love it
I found one that’s 2004 18k miles for only 4K instant cop!
Burzey wow that’s great. I’m eyeing one at the dealership I work at. It’s a 2004 with 95k miles. Clean carfax

I bought 2004 bmw 325i for $3500 and it has 179,000 miles and it runs and feels like its new and passed inspection with no problems

did you know that a 325i in Europe(192hp) is 24 more hp than in america (168hp).....?
Get one 2002 or after. Those are the ones that don't have the subframe issues. Older than 2002 is dangerous.

Does it have aux and is the bass strong?
I love BMW sedan
Great review.
One question, is it normal for the temperature to be above half?
Where's the aux port tho
732ajay real talk
732ajay its a car that existed when cars had aux cords
732ajay when cars did not have aux cords i mean!!!!!
It's a optional feature. You can easily add one to any e46. The existing audio unit already has an input for the cable on the back.
This car has no car charging port the windows fk up easily and the car only has one key entrance to open.
one of this at 2.500??? 150.230 miles worth it or nah.?
absolutely
Did you buy it?
El Chiivo one for 4000 with only 58000 miles
mint-est E46 i've ever seen!
madmango these are everywhere in UK, with more power too!!
Hydrologic is the opposite of direct steering
V8M3 facts it's not hydrolic steering that's why it's heavy and direct
If the key breaks how much would it cost to replace it
300

How would you jumpstart this car?
the battery is on the back and u can add oner one in the front if you wanted it.
+Denis DiCaprio there's actually terminal thingy in the engine bay I think, no need to add it. symbolized with a (+) I believe somewhere
There should be something like what the last guy said and for the negative you can put it on the bolt where the struts go on top. Don't try lol I think it is that but I don't remember well
Good video
not metal door handles in the interior
My dad used to have this one
I have one of these but the window broke
does it has aux entrance for the radio????
Is this okay for a 18 year old first car? For college?
Great car for anybody cheap and reliable but make sure if you go and buy one if it still has a plastic bottem drive it then flash light and check the bottem for lose fluids
Where is the fuel pump on this vehicle??? My brother has one and he's trying to locate the fuel pump
Under rear passenger seat

What is the name of this style of front bumper? Like M tech 1, M tech 2... what is the name of this one?
Standart front
It’s the standard bumper, this is an Advantage model, not an M-Sport
02 325i 5spd w/ 115k miles for 2k good deal? What are the problems to look for?

seeing one of these for 2500 and the mileage is 176k...is it worth it?
Yeah
Over here
2011 wants its grumpy cat profile picture back.
What was this traded on
I have the 325XI series
Looked like it has a leak somewhere
Does it have an aux?
No
I hate this! The manual was great enough that getting the 5 speed auto is practically a crime.
True if you can drive a manual transmission but a lot of people can't anymore and it is a shame
👍👍👌👌
E46....last real bimmer
4,500 with 90k miles good?(2005)
Yes that's good. It actually should be around $3500.00
Right off the bat has a overheating problem.
How expensive are the repairs? I want numbers
Depends if you do it yourself!
How much does it cost me, I want it
tsmat77 Its sold....this video is from almost 5 years ago.
How is the Jetta
FWD, VW. Better off with an audi A4/A6 imo. (i own an jetta)
if it doesn't have an aux then see ya later
You can always get a new radio installed.
do you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to rework anything on a german car
Cre8iveGaming3 just get it done at best buy
Cre8iveGaming3 Theres something called Bluetooth transmitter.....
@@user-zq1or3ro8u Best buy installs stereos in cars too?

Mine sounds better than average. 2005 325i
I have one just as clean...mine is awd tho
wery nice
Love the car but not to sure how 92,000 miles is nothing….
Considering industry average is 15k a year 92k on a 12 year old (at the time of this video) is nothing…
