      Thanks for the comment! They’re fun to learn, and honestly, before I had them memorized I’d just search this before a trip and refresh my memory haha. Feel free to save it for when you go on your Caribbean trips!

      Great vid! I like going over these hand signals on ocean dives in soflo with newer divers. They miss a ton of a marine life just cruising, so keeping an eye out for urchins, spinies, and barracuda goes a long way with them.

      Thanks so much! I totally agree!!!!
      My first time in the ocean I saw cool things and had no idea the name of the fish, urchin, whatever it was. Then I’d see our DM point out things and use some signal and I was literally like, “what?! 🤷‍♂️”
      When you learn these it makes the dives so much more fun I feel like!

    Is there a hand signal for an octopus?

    • @CircleHScuba
      @CircleHScuba  Год назад +1

      Yes there is! It’s a tad hard to describe but hopefully this makes sense.
      You hold your hand down with your fingers spread, and take your other hand and hold your wrist.
      The idea being your five fingers spread down are the legs and the hand over your wrist is the head of the octopus.
      Let me know if that makes sense, if not, I’ll try to find an image I can link to
