That’s not Rhaenyra’s dragon, it’s way too big. That is either Vermithor, King Jaehaerys’ dragon, or it is Sheepstealer.
we saw Syrax last season she is small and doesnt look like that dragon at all
It's not Vermithor at least if you compare the horns. They're different than the dragon from S1. But Sheepstealer isn't that bad of a guess.

Exactly. It’s annoying when people don’t have any kind of sympathy or critical thinking when it comes to Aemond. But then have so much sympathy for ……Luke. He was a child who lost his eye and is DISABLED.
There isn't a lot of nuance where the fan base is concerned sadly. Both groups of nobles (Black and Green) are terribly flawed humans (it's just a matter of degree). Clearly one side is more palatable to the audience because 1. Rhaenyra is considerably more competent/sympathetic than Aegon 2. We know Viserys didn't change his mind 3. Condell & Co. made the weird decision to add SA to Aegon's flaws even though it's not in the books.

I cannot stand Aemond, but, he's right here. Alicent taught her children to dislike Rhaenyra and their own nephews, you can't flip the script on that overnight. The damage has been done. I truly cannot stomach Alicent.
3:45 the Dragon behing her was presumably Vermithor. They were the dragon at the end of the first season that Daemon was singing to. Vermithor is one of the dragons that will be claimed in this season

Considering Game of Thrones gave us Dragon combat from the perspective of both Jaime Lannister and, later, Arya, and how fucking terrifying and horrific it is with people literally being fucking incinerated right there as everyone scrambles for cover from building-destroying flames (not to mention the sheer fucking psychological terror of seeing a Dragon flying in to the combat zone firsthand to begin with)...I have extremely high hopes this Season.
Also I won't spoil any of The Book for those who haven't read it but, this is Game of Thrones so this war...let's just say if you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
To be honest, the writers wanted to hammer in a certain viewpoint then. In this show, we have never gotten the smallfolk and foot soldier's pov. Though Criston is on the ground at one point so we'll get a bit of it then.
@rexibhazoboa7097 we saw the POV of the Targaryen soldier spiked into the beach by rhe Crabfeeder. And we saw Caraxes incinerate some of the Crabfeeder's men in that same scene.

Just like GOT. You didn't see much in S1 because the war hasn't started yet. Now shit can get ramped up from here.

The dragon standing behind Rhaenyra there at the end is Vermithor, the Bronze Fury. He’s allegedly the second largest dragon in the show next to Vhagar, and even though he’s old and doesn’t actually have any experience with war (for now), he’s so badass and will absolutely live up to his name.

Normies GOT season 5 is my favorite reaction to watch because its a way for me to get Hard at Home.
It’s pretty obvious what the domestic fight is about if you paid attention last season. Daemon was the heir for years before his brother revoked that choice and gave it to Rhaenyra. If I was her, I would never stop questioning whether he’s using the war and the people’s loyalty to me to get the throne and use me as a puppet queen. In fact, in universe historians speculate that Daemon may have groomed Rhaenyra. 100 years later and historians are questioning the same things that Rhaenyra is in this scene: is she in control? Is she actually in command of her men? Is she being manipulated? Is Daemon using her to solidify his own power like Otto does with Alicent and Aegon? The question of “do you accept me as your queen” needs to be asked. She has no way of knowing if he’s lying in his answer but she needs to ask regardless.

I feel like HBO is making the same mistake with Rhaenyra they made with Daenerys. They simplified her as this heroine when in truth she is much more complex and the audience was not prepared for the change.
