Im guessing just continue and make a round baby blanket! I think it would be beautiful. I make the 3D shell for baby blankets. Moms love the 3D affect and babies love the softness! I have never seen a round baby blanket. Maybe you could start a new trend!

A little tip to help with your on screen pattern write-up, the dc you do that goes around the dc below in this pattern is called a FPDc (front post dc). If you did it from behind the stitch its called a BPDc (back post dc) in US terms of course.

It looks like acrylic worsted weight. I would say it’s a doily. You could this pattern for a pot holder if you used a cotton variety, like Lily’s Sugar and Cream.
