The secret is there's no one thing that makes NY pizza great - it's a mix of great craftsmanship and cooking science. Understanding how flavors work together, knowing hwhat and ow much seasonings to add to the sauce, the technique for preparing the dough for the crust, the ovens used, and the ratios of cheese to dauce to crust, and the proper temprature and time to bake the pizza. Every pizza in the city can be different, but they all follow these same rules. Different rules result in different pizz - that's how you wind up with Chiacgo style, Detroit style, and original Naples style.
I've been binge-watching ur vids while I eat and I don't know man, it always motivates me to eat. makes it more adventurous and fun. it sounds silly but cuz of u I'm getting healthier. thank you, keep being such a funny man
Exploring the intricacies of New York-style pizza and uncovering its secrets is like a culinary detective story. Can't wait to dive into this and see what makes it so uniquely delicious!
The bestsausage pizza I've had was on long island, NY they use a deli slicer or mandolin to slice the sausage extra thin. Soooo good. Good pizza uses part skim mozz.
I live in Duluth Minnesota. We only have one or two neighborhood pizza parlors the rest of them are Domino's are Papa John's. So Dylan you are very very right it is the people. I'm 62 years old the last time I had a really good pizza was when I was probably 15 at the local neighborhood Pizza parlor which is now gone😢
there are so many factors that go into making "good" food, like each specific ingredient from specific brands or even the tools you use like what kind of oven you use and even then ovens can vary. so it's really everything that goes into making the pizza, not just one specific thing I loved the video though, felt almost like a show on tv and Im surprised that it only has almost 15k views, feels very high budget
An amazing channel, I was so close to visiting NYC at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit this amazing place. All the best!
I think it’s the sauce AND the crust! Crust can’t be thick or too chewy and needs the right amount of crisp on the bottom. The sauce as the guy said can’t be overly flavored and has to be made with San marzano tomatoes.
Jesus Loves you so much! You may not think it but there is a reason you’re seeing this. He wants you to know Him so you Two can have a Relationship:)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I worked for a mom and pop pizzeria in college in Central Texas, and we used 100% Provolone cheese. I must admit that it was the best pizza I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten New York pizza on several trips there. I could eat either pizza, as I’m not a picky eater.🍕
The water and other ingredients are better from a place near me get there is ingredients from up North. And my family does the owner. You should try Jersey Style Pizza
You mentioned the sauce ingredients, but then are seen sauteing what looks like onions and red bell peppers on the side...then adding it to the drum. Perhaps you were not allowed to share the details of those additions? Or were they for something else?
After all that trying figure out the secret to a good New York pizza, it turned out it was the people who make it there. My personal vote is the sauce and the amount of it. But then again could be the cheese and the amount of that too. The crust is very important too but let's face it you get the first two things right the crust is just along for the ride.
love your content and appreciate the work you put into it, it shows in the quality of your content! Keep it up man, remember me when you make it to a million subs
Love it pizza in the city is amazing pizza in upstate like way up here isn’t that great! We had a few place that have gone down hill sense the pandemic. But ya know NYC is where it started and where it will always be. I’ve tried all like deep dish and all the others and still even though I have a gluten allergy NYC is where it’s at! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Honesty, as a new yorker who has tried many different places' pizza, I think its the cheese. I love me a good plain cheese pizza and if it has a lot of cheese its just better. (And if its greasy its good)
Idk why this video says NY style can’t be made anywhere else because it can be. You just have to have good dough and sauce, and cook at the right temp.
Haven’t finished the vid yet but I think the simple answer is that NYC happens to be where the people who made pizza-making their career live. It’s like asking why France has the best French food-because people have been cooking it there for generations lol. It’s not that there’s a special ingredient specific to NYC, it’s the results of decades of polishing one’s craft. That’s why if you take an NYC pizza master to another location, the pizza will be just as good. It’s not the ingredients, it’s the technique and skill of the people making it.
Thank you for the video Dylan! My dad is the original owner who is in the video ❤ great job. It is the best pizza ever

RUclips underpays people so much that Dylan went back to regular jobs
Dylan is not too creepy and not too dooey.
Yes! It looks like the secret is the love that every pizza maker puts into their pie
Do Chicago deep dish next! It’s difficult but amazing
extremely well made video

I appreciate content creator like you who take time to upload quality stuff and not actually upload everday and upload shitty content❤
Love your Videos Dylan
I'm all about Chicago deep dish. I don't care about the health issues. If it's done correctly, there is nothing better.
I think it’s the sauce AND the crust! Crust can’t be thick or too chewy and needs the right amount of crisp on the bottom. The sauce as the guy said can’t be overly flavored and has to be made with San marzano tomatoes.
Awwww the ending was so sweet 🥹
Dylan u gotta post more man nd you'll hit 10mil easily
Jesus Loves you so much! You may not think it but there is a reason you’re seeing this. He wants you to know Him so you Two can have a Relationship:)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

How does this only have 9.6k views
its so good probably because its more hand made then other pizza places where alot of the stuff is pre made and shipped in then combined.
I’m so hungry man. This food looks so good. Thank you Dylan!😂❤
yeahh new video!
LOVE YOUR VIDS!
It is indeed the water that’s why. It has an effect on the dough and in the end also pizza
Already been figured out., the water used for the dough. Science!
That pizza does look great! Awesome video 👍
You trying to figure out how New York Pizza is made is like trying to learn how to use magic in a world where there isn't any mana I wear xD
such a missed opportunity for lost a lost in the sauce joke at 10:01
It is the water
Bro got a job for a video that’s true dedication
We makin it out of Brothers Pizza with this one🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
This video is hella underrated man.
The water and other ingredients are better from a place near me get there is ingredients from up North. And my family does the owner.
You should try Jersey Style Pizza
ANOTHER BANGER OF A VIDEO! KEEP UP THIS AMAZING WORK!!❤❤🎉🎉
“Water”
Our pizzaria uses Grande brand cheese, same brand flour, different sauce and blend, different ovens
idk who you are but this came up in my recommended so ill watch it
Dennis seems to be a very good boss to work for. No screaming, no idiot sandwhich bullshit. lmfao
Native New Yorker... I've ate at this pizza parlor numerous times. LEGIT !!!
You mentioned the sauce ingredients, but then are seen sauteing what looks like onions and red bell peppers on the side...then adding it to the drum. Perhaps you were not allowed to share the details of those additions? Or were they for something else?
0:40 I'm sure he's the only guy that actually knows the secret.
The baking process. Temperature, fuel, time, rotate?
....the intro has me thinking NY Style isn't in the pizza making, but in the New York attitude. 😂
Chicago deep dish and an actual original Italian pizza would just crying in the corner
😂 you can never add too much cheese! Good job!

Bro, how do you not have 1 million subs
from roblox videos to this is incredible, and you should be proud
dylan trahan💀
Bro shut up
They gotta meet up -and kiss-
Dylan is ryan trahan but eats all types of food
NY water actually is the reason the bagels and pizza crust is the best according to all the bakers
love your content and appreciate the work you put into it, it shows in the quality of your content! Keep it up man, remember me when you make it to a million subs
loveee
It’s cause newyork pizza is mostly cheap per slice so people get a very good slice of pizza for cheap which makes it seem better
Wowie
Its like the anime Ben-to having a brawl😂
Damn Ive lived in that city my whole life not knowing that dylan had a visit
For me, the secret to a good NY Style pizza, is the thin crust. I usually never like thick crusts, unless it's labeled as Flatbread 🤣
The secret is just cause we’re the best .. yess 🙌🏾❤
I think the best pizza's are from family owned restaurants that have little secret recipes 😊
Pizzeria next to a smoke shop?? *Oh yeah, it's gonna hit* 🍕
Honesty, as a new yorker who has tried many different places' pizza, I think its the cheese. I love me a good plain cheese pizza and if it has a lot of cheese its just better. (And if its greasy its good)
Want a cuppa tea instead of dat pizza BRITAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! (+ Fish And chips DW)
Exactly it’s literally the people who care for their work while these fast pizza chains like Pizza Hut and papa johns dominoes don’t care much
Idk why this video says NY style can’t be made anywhere else because it can be. You just have to have good dough and sauce, and cook at the right temp.
Grande cheese is legit for NY style. Perfect salt and butter.
Costco pizza is the best for me. Gooey oily cheese, tart marinara sauce, and a chewy crust.
Amazing video ❤😊
Man I remember when Dylan used to play Roblox Welcome to Bloxburg
Love the video ❤😊
The secret is the dough and sauce
They use plum tomatoes
And a secret dough recipe
Now i'm HUNGRY. Fun video!
Whensss the benu videooo????!
Hello from a New Yorker, it's the water, still good video
New Haven style pizza generally beats New York style in my opinion.
it's the low moisture whole milk mozarella.
its 3 am and i want pizza but i cant get it :((((
i love this hahahaha. well made
underrated
5:31 katakuri is gonna become tasty
The guy who said “no” was really grumpy.
I think the cold rise method is the secret.

MatPat actually solved this I think, I'm pretty sure he said it was new york city's water in the dough of the pizza or somethin like that
If you would've watched the whole video then you would've heard how Dennis said that it's most likely not just the water
Also in the video he mentions how other restaurants import water directly from New York as well with no luck of replicating the pizza
