thanks for putting the breakdown of the blocks in the video. I think that adds a lot to what the person looking to grasp the zone can get out of the video. Very cool!
whats great about this, is this guy clearly knows how to cook. So many times have I watched meal prep vids and the guys or gals have no clue on how to cook. He has a full set of well seasoned and taken care of cast iron, that's the mark of a good cook.
Hey I don't need to get 40C/30P/30F in each meal, but I am aiming for that for overall macros for the day. I can't eat mushrooms. Any good suggestions for a non-starchy replacement carb?
I calculated a little with this. when you just count the calories of the given blocks you wil have around 1450kcal. When you add the "hidden calories" in the zone for this total 16 blocks you will get 2750kcal -> nearly the double amount. so is Zone the real deal? esp. the eggs - 10 blocks = 550kcal "hidden calories". 10 blocks meat = just 120 "hidden calories". whats your opinion about that???
2 blocks meal per slice seems kind of low don't u think? I eat 4-5 blocks a meal so I guess I have to eat 2? I would probably use this to eat right before my 6am work out! I have been wanting to eat something before my work out instead of just my pre work out.
a block is just a certain amount of protein. Instead of saying 8 gr, of protein. etc. I'm not to sure about the conversions but it's like 8 gr of protein is 1 "block" Im pretty sure. math is no fun anyways lol
If people want to know what a block is there are dozens of videos around that explain this in pretty good detail. But, a block is 7g of protein or 9g of carbs or 1.5g of fat. So if you wanted a two block meal let's say (would be 2 blocks of each macro) you'd have 14g of protein 18g of carbs and 3g of fat. That's pretty much it. It's not too bad once you get used to it. The point of the blocks is it makes it easier to design your meals around that ratio of 7p:9c:1.5f. You can go read about Zone on your own if you want to know why it's important.
I love that you're putting these zoned out meals on here. I've been needing new ideas for food!

I'm new to all of this. What do you mean by block?
'It's pretty much a frittata'
That's because it IS a frittata.
'Breakfast pizza???'

How big is your cast iron skillet

what the fuck is a "block"?
Don't worry about it too much. You won't need it.

or another way to measure fat, carbs, and protein.

I'd recommend you peel your sweet potatoes, there's gnarly stuff in the two layers of skin it has. Remove both if you have time, they go off easily
Nnnnnnnnnnice!
i liked it from the "pizza" title
Goodness when will CrossFit finally get rid of this block nonsense. NO ONE uses that system anymore.
cheese is missing! calling for cheddar or pamesan
If i have no time enough to prepare a BREAKFAST, I don´t know were the F*** you think I´ll get TIME to do THIS !!!
I think they are saying making it in advance. A lot of people do weekly meal prep. You seem angry for no reason.
Kelly E Montana
No I´m not angry... I simply understud that they was meaning to do all this things at the moment. Now it seems to have some logic! 8)
Drooool.......
Guys, when I cooked this I strained the fat from the sausage and even used some paper towels to blot the excess before I added it in.
doing this tomorrow am but using egg whites and ground bison. instead
Can he just come to my house and cook for me all day? Please?
🔥🔥🔥
Poppers! !
those jalapenos looks so fucking good
Missed all the FAT blocks in the sausage. That's Zone 101. Much disappoint.
Dude it's an omelette not pizza! Repeat with me OMELETTE
this whole block shit is idiotic. isn;t it just simpler to calculate your macros and calories? why re-invent the wheel ( which is a block)
You don't have to be zoning in order to make this recipe.
Why can't it be in plain measurements? What is this ''block'' bullshit?
It's part of the "zone" diet.
Still, could be.
