    You both are incredible ty so much for thinking about us and the shot out. When Christina was worried about nude magazines, we both chuckled. And when you were in that office, I think we say a Canadian mounty box of some sort. So much incredible things to see and go through. And I agree with you Richard you would need weeks to get through that space. All the old parts and knick knacks are truly amazing. Great video, both of you.

      Most of the bigger parts we will definitely use next year! Richard is retiring from his 9-5 job at the end of the year and cars will be his new full-time job. Well...and fixing the 50 things around the house we've ignored to play with cars 🤣🤣🤣

      He did buy a lot of big parts. Master cylinders, distributors, water pumps, etc. Richard is retiring at the end of the year from his 9-5 and I'm ready to redecorate the office is old rusty, dusty car items🤣 he's worked darn hard for the last 40 years and deserves a cool office🙂

      Well, my experience with Glen was not positive. Called him, talked and he said to send a list via text photos. Did just that with part numbers, two pages worth.
      He got the list, talked to him. Then nothing. Called back, left a voice mail. Texted. Nothing. Glen never called or text back.
      I would've driven out, pulled the parts and paid up. But Glen was an @sshole & wasted my time. Most of this will probably go to the dump & scrap pile

    Hello Again From Mark In Kentucky. I forwarded your other video to one of my Ham Radio friends who is totally restoring his 1957 Chevy in which he was very interested in trying to find the correct parts instead of the newer parts that are being sold nowadays. Seems like I also sent Dalton a suggestion after watching one of his videos with his older Fords right after your first video in which I am very glad that he made contact with you.
    I’m glad to see that old map from Louisville in which is even older than I am by around 10 years.
    Glad to see that Christina didn’t put a knot on your head after my suggestion about the 20 ounce ketchup and squeeze mustard bottles. The Heinz and Hunts bottles both have the exact same flip tops that only let the contents out when you squeeze the bottle firmly. I filled my bottle with water and tried to make it leak out and it would not unless the bottle was squeezed firmly as I mentioned before.

    • @christinarust6957
      @christinarust6957 9 месяцев назад +1

      I think your suggestion was a great idea! I bought the clear squeeze bottle because our famous milk container 🤣🤣 isn't made to be squeezed, can't see how much gas is in it and wasted gas. But, a clear ketchup bottle...without doubt...100% fantastic idea!

    • @TheIronDuke502
      @TheIronDuke502 9 месяцев назад

      Hello Christina, The mustard and ketchup bottles are made of some good quality plastic in which the acidity of the mustard and ketchup doesn’t affect.
      I am going to forward this video to my friend that I was mentioning that was rebuilding his Chevy. Maybe some others as well.
      A few years back, The stores room was sorting out the older parts that we no longer had need of for the equipment or vehicles in the fleet. Once the stuff was placed out on the floor - It was like throwing fish into a bunch of sharks. It was a feeding frenzy for sure.
      Seeing all of those master cylinder’s in your video reminded me of a Huber road grader that was brought in for repair for no brakes. One of our older mechanics looked at the archaic looking single piston master cylinder and said that it looked like the same master cylinder that was on a 1963 Chevy - The cost of such things for heavy machinery is ginormous at best and the mechanic pulled the master cylinder in which after it was matched up at our local Carquest,
      Sure Enough, The mechanic was dead on with his observation. My point is that a good deal of the older heavy machinery used the exact same parts for certain applications that was used on the cars and trucks and a whole lot cheaper if you can find what you need from other sources.

    Awesome to see the old parts again. A literal time capsule. I do have a question though: How well do these parts age? Like the filters, gaskets, and rubber parts. Paper gets old and can come apart, gaskets can come apart, rubber dry rots, etc.... Do they all seem to still be in good enough condition to be able to be used? That's something ive been thinking about. Thanks for sharing, Richard and Christina! 😎

    • @morewhattherust
      @morewhattherust  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi David. It seems most of the stuff has aged well. I did find some rust and deterioration of parts that were near roof leaks, but otherwise things are OK. Even the rubber in the fuel pump rebuild kits looks new.
