I can't stop watching this animation, it feel so incredible, majestic and beautiful and that music gives it such a ✨ *magical* ✨ touch. Congratulations 😍

The sad part is i think this movie will only really be remembered for what it could have been, not what it actually was. Recently I have been doing a lot of thinking about why people were gravitating towards the concept art for Wish. And it's because of that, because we want romances in Disney again.
They could’ve made it a evil couple with the king stealing wishes and giving it to his people, explaining why its so happy in his land but his allies suffer, like a contract. The wish being drained eachtime it happens (the boy). Together getting allies ig and having the couple being stopped by them ina beautiful way.
I could SO see this as canon. So sweet, kissing innocent little star, and having him turn into perhaps a just as innocent, sweet boy with great magic. You got some great visuals and motions here, like how starboy slowly "unfolds" to reveal himself and flying around, very smooth looking.
This transformation and animation had all the fluidity of both classic Disney (Pinocchio, Cinderella, etc.) and Modern/Revival Disney (Frozen, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, etc.) and it was well done! Perfect for the idea of what Wish would be in the early concepts!

Oh my God, this is unbelievable! This animation is so smooth and so beautiful, you did a great job! It's a pity that in the end we didn't get this idea, but instead a story about a typical villain and a typical heroine. Disney, there's nothing wrong with love!
I imagines that the starboy is from a huge family (ton of stars after all) and is quite a complex character. One hand he can be very fun-loving yet immature but on the other hand he can also have bit of cynical with the world due to seeing much selfishness. He doesn't hates humanity in general but he does feel that people uses stars for selfish reasons. Meeting Asha help him see that people can be selfless when they want to be and that sometimes it okay for people to ask stars for guidance which allows him to show a more wise side to her. I imagines that he's truly something of a wild card here. He clearly cares a great deal about his enormous family but he doesn't really get why are they so willingly to grant humans wishes when in his mind they just takes. While a fair thought to have, he in fact is also kinda the same since he is quite carefree and somewhat self-centered as well. Still, despite everything when he find himself forced on actual Earth, he is quite tame to humans treating them at best as amusement and companions. However, it is only when he see Asha (whom he grows to respect during their journey) being affected by her family and friends being in danger is he is able to really relates to her and understand why his family do what they do. It is only when Asha start giving up does he really steps up revealing a philosophical and more noble side and encouraging her that despite her shy and bookworm personality, he is in awe of her for fighting for something that won't just benefits her family and friends but also for her whole community. It is through her that he see that sometimes people really do need help and guidance from another world. Personally think they could had made Asha related to the royals unknowingly. I mean her father and the king could had been brothers or distant cousins. Like her branch of family (or the very least grandpa) either got kicked out or walked out with the royal family and her quest is her finding out and having to fight against her newfound evil relatives. Wonder what role her mom, grandpa and friends would had played in this version.
