Glad I bought Beeny having no idea it related to this game. Just thought both looked neat so I picked them up at some point.

I can't wait for the Toree Saturn review once that game comes out! I really have to try out Super Kiwi 64 sometime, I already have Beeny which is one of the few games I've replayed a bajillion times

Good video, Ahbeef. I personally thought this game was okay at best, but kind of disappointing compared to Siactro's past works. It's better than the original and Macbat, but I kind of felt like there could've been more done with it.
Have the enemies be more aggressive, create more hazards, and flesh out the story. The story and its presentation was severely disappointing. On one hand, it lacks the humor of the original in favor of a more atmospheric, desolate adventure run by a mechanical society, but it doesn't do as much as it could with that concept. Like when seeing a creature with harpoons in its back at the end of the desert world, I thought it was setting up the conflict in question. And when I got everything I needed, I surely thought there would be a final boss battle as you leave the island, but nope. It just ends. Could've had some mindf*ckery final boss that could be a god of some sort.
Siactro has found their style. They've quickly become an indie auteur with these N64 throwbacks in an age where 8 bit graphics in indie games are dime-a-dozen. And they can create meaningful short and sweet games with Toree 2 being their magnum opus so far. I just was hoping Super Kiwi 64 would continue that good streak they've had.

Couldn't Sell and 1hour game for full price? SF64. No wonder you have no Nostalgia for the N64 look, you're a PSX kid.
Also Im guessing you haven't played McBat 64 (the game has the entire OG Kiwi in it)
Edit: You planning on checking out "Corn Kids 64", "Cavern of Dreams", "Castle on the Coast", the 3d Igavania game "Pseudoregalia", or the platformer similar to Torrie3d "Lunistice"?
