    The thing about head movement that I see a lot of people miss is, while it is very important, you focus too much on it you're only doing defense, you're not doing any damage. It doesn't matter if you slip 9/10 punches and only get hit with one, if you never throw your opponent has still landed more shots. If coach was less caught up in ducking the whole time, he would have had a much better shot winning the fight and actually dealing damage like he did the second round. And if he was up against a more experienced fighter, they would have uppercut him to combat all the ducking and it would be lights out. overall a great fight. both left their hearts in the cage.

    • @theone8839
      @theone8839 2 года назад +7

      Man people doing head movement for the sake of head movement. Had a goofy coach like that. Tagged a dude well in sparring that was moving his head a lot. Then the clown coach said I should move my head more like dude and I was barely hit. Never saw that coach again.

      2:48 like right here. it could just be me, but Traveling Coach's slip made the perfect opportunity to counter with a right hook. Was it because he was too fatigued to go for it? Hoooo boy, Blacksmith has got a LOT of chops. Strong amateur background? Most convincing Philly Shell/Shoulder Roll I've seen in SB, fantastic hard counters with the backhand when the opponent overcommits trying to get round the shoulder, puts them together well going forward. Determined opponent though, and he started to look a bit ragged when Coach got close and opened up. Coach is really willing to punch with him when they're on the wall. Good upper body movement on Coach, and he would not give up. Great fight.

    Although there were a lot of messy bits, Coach had crazy good head movement and then Blacksmith was crazy clean with the counters

      Originally, I didn’t like what I was seeing because of how low he was dropping, but there was some well thrown combos that he was able to leave himself untouched from

    I wrestled in HS one year, amateur heavy bag hitter, not a boxer, lol! But I visualize when hitting bag, kept visualizing myself standing sidelong with straight jabs to white shirt's head/face cause his hands were down the whole time. Dude was very tough, may get unnerved after he keeps taking those hits! Looks like upstate NY?
