Alexa, I love your videos! I'm working my way through them, and doing some extra homework using Memrise, Duolingo, Coffee Break French, Rocket French and weekly lessons with a tutor. I have just started with my tutor, but even after using all the other tools daily I have to say your explanations are far clearer and I wish I had started with your channel first because it would have built a solid foundation for me much more quickly. Never stop teaching. You have a gift!
You are the best.. Without you ,I wouldn't have understood the things I got tought in school without you...❤❤ I am from 6th and I thought that I would never understand french ❤but with you,I am the 2nd best in french in my class Thanks for everything ❤❤

I am taking French online at my university because I am a mom of a 2 year old and 3 year old and can't get into a regular class. I went back to school and need four semesters of French before I can graduate! I do not know what I would do without you! I watch your videos everyday and you have helped me immensely! You are a wonderful teacher. Merci beaucoup!!
Salut Madame. I started learning french by building my basics from your videos. So far, I am translating the english sentences you give and all of my translations have been correct. Thank you madam so much for making these videos. Greetings from an Indian student.
Thanks Alexa I have been doing French on my own with some assistance but no one has taught me like you do and I owe you a lot. Thank you so much and I will be commenting in French very soon with your classes.

I was a bit confused by the introduction of the ending -issant as an ending but then rematched and understood why this is in the video. Merci beaucoup!

Thank you so so much for these videos! they've made the grammar aspect of french so much easier. I used to be so intimidated that i stopped trying to learn all together but your videos have saved me!
What an amazing teacher! Really, every lesson is SO useful! I use your videos as an extension of what i'm learning / or finding difficult in the classroom. Merci!
So what about the verbs that go with être? How do I know wich one goes with être and what are the endings? Are they the same as in the first group of verbs ("er")? You said this video isn't about that but I haven't found any video that is and I really need it.
Salut, Alexa, thank you for your teaching. It’s always of good fun and with practical use. In this episode, you illustrate the 2nd group regular verbs conjugation into their passé composé with the infinitive form of verb ‘choisir’ (to choose). As I learnt, the principle is to drop the ending letter ‘r’ from ‘choisir’ to form the past participle and have it to conjugate with the auxiliary verb in front of it. Like you said, I understand that depending on what the auxiliary verb is, ie to say either with ‘avoir’ (to have) or ‘être’ (to be), the forming and the ending of the past participle of ‘choisir’ varies. It is quite similar to that in the grammar of English, eg ‘I am chosen’ and ‘I have chosen’ (in French same as ‘I chose’) are different in meaning. I am chosen is passive, while I have chosen is active voice speaking. I write aiming to seek your confirmation as to whether my understanding is correct or not. Merci beaucoup, mon cher professeur. Voilà.
Je viens de reapprendre le français. Vous avez demontu "elle a choisi" ici, mais le participe doit être "choisie" pour l'accord avec le pronombre? Merci mille fois

In english, you can get away with saying "I chose to go to the mall." What would that tense be considered?
