If anything, this episode was a great demo of why it is important to change your strings, even if you don't think they have gone dull. After a long enough period, they absolutely have, even if you didn't notice it happening over that time.
I love my JS-400. It plays so nice. Sounds great through every amp I have though I have to admit that I'm utterly in love with my Sire J3. I know it's a bit more money but I wonder how the Sire S3 would stack up to the JS-480. It'd be a tough call but I think the fit and finish on the Sire brand beats Jet, but it's close. Both brands are awesome and sub $500(US).
Sorry, how does the neck feel chunkier on the 480? Can you provide some measurement comparisons? I have small hands so this is very important information for me.
Very cool. You play so good brother. As always man❤ .. Just wondering if you have ever reviewed the Boss / Roland Blues cube hot amps? They even have the one that is supposed to sound like a Marshall called the Hot EL84 I think it is, and the blues cube hot I would like to try. Would love to hear your opionion. They are supposed to sound AND even feel like a real tube amp.. ❤ Thanks my friend. Be well and safe ❤ Tim..
lube the nut, put decent springs on, balance the trem, sometimes its because of the way the nut is cut, string trees and even the way you string the guitar. The springs on my JS400 were sh*t, easy fix bought new ones on amazon, I've had the spring issue on other makes costing much more,
Very Cool video Elmo, this was my comment on your previous video about the Jet, is it twice the 400? Jet JS400, best money I have ever spent on a Guitar, and I have guitars 20x the price. I did swap the 2 single coils for Iron Gear, personal preference, stock were ok, for a guitar under £600, but iron gear made it sing, trem springs were replaced as sh#te, guitar has been gigged a lot, after 2 years everything good. Do you have a contact address btw?
i started off on their js450 and it was a good guitar the only prob was that they must just leave them lying around in a storage place cause mine had strings that were as black as the pickups
@@MrPolevaulter Thanks! You're one of the few that I can trust, I really didn't like the USB power supply (not being able to just play with a freaking normal cable it seems), and the ultimate test (for now) against the Roland Micro Cube or the Hotone Pulze (that's expensive).
Hi Elmo! Are these guitars full thickness strats (45mm body thickness)? I would appreciate your reply, since you also have a full size Stratocaster. Cheers!
in my city there is no Js-480, but there is js-450, how are they different from each other and about the fried neck, how strong is it, since I heard a lot of reviews that in budget guitars such a choice of neck is not justified, help me figure it out?
Amazon has them in stock at times. I've seen them used on Guitar Center and on their website. I got my JS-400 on Amazon when it was in stock. I got rid of my Squier strat when I got the Jet, they're that good.
I swapped mine, Iron Gears, a lot cheaper than paying an extra 200 bucks, tbf, the humbucker is fine and always need to be careful that balances with the single coils.

Keep coming with the new budget strat I'll soon buy one and I need recommendations. Thanks elmo!
Cheers!
Good to ear you Elmo 🙂 those guitars are very very interesting 👍
Useful Jet S model compare! There's a Jet dealer a few blocks from me that is temping me to come demo some T and S models so far I've not got there.
Cheers!

Yeah, Sire make some good stuff too.
are hartwood guitars available where you are? their Hartwood Charger seems to be a good value option
I'd never heard of them until now. Seems interesting.
@MrPolevaulter yeah I don't see much info about them on RUclips, but the challenger has a 'different' body shape and offers great value for the price
I like that even the 400 has genuine strat sounds that are about 1400euro! That headstock seems stolen from Harley Benton, but what!
They do sound good :)
Yamaha and BC Rich had that headstock 40 years ago...

Tim..
Thanks! Haven't tried them, no. So much gear out there.
12:46 My JS-400 also has this issue. Anyone know how to fix it?
you need to lubricate the nut and the string retainer, use grease or nutsauce

@@MrPolevaulter many thanks, will be from Dan, sent to the above.
Simply great guitars, regardless of the price.
i started off on their js450 and it was a good guitar the only prob was that they must just leave them lying around in a storage place cause mine had strings that were as black as the pickups
pickups way better on the cheap pink...I love the roundness of cheap ceramic single coils
immagine the js 48- with gold pickup coversm gold switch tupm gold knobs, .
Please test the New Boss Katana Mini X
Will do asap.

@@mattsikes919 Thanks! I will keep a look out.
The Alnico pickups in the 480 sound a lot better than the ceramic ones of the 400.

can you please checkout thr Mooer MSC10 pro guitar...i like the content❤️
Thanks for the tip. I might do that.
Please, add the pick up positions with subtitles. Soundwise, to my ears, the more expensive isn't worth of the money in comparison.
Nice. I have a request. Do a hollowbody once in a while. I'll play everything from rockabilly to speed metal on a Gretsch.
So much gear, so little time. Not sure I will in the near future. Sorry.
Baroque and rolling!
I bought the Sunbursty JS-450, and I an So surprised of this quality. I have much more expensive guitar that are lesser quality!
