This podcast is so good. The way Daniel is able to riff with people who are not comedians and bring them up and lets them shine, seems to be quite unmatched in the podcast space.
So true, Tosh’s skill set is perfect for podding because he’s basically a pro at this type of thing already, so even though the show is brand new it feels like he’s been doing this forever as it comes off so naturally.
I still can't quite believe how incredibly good Tosh is at interviewing. I know he's mostly interviewing friends and colleagues right now while he puts this thing together but he is legit a top tier interviewer.
I think we, the audience don't need it, but felt like he had it more so as a "cover my ass" kinda thing. The days of cancel culture and wokeism is such a pain. I've been laughing at "racist/stereotype" jokes since I was a kid. But not once have I ever gotten offended or gone to other people and be racial or rude. Jokes are jokes, and comedians shouldn't be condemned or have to play on on edge for making them
@@JoshPocketwatch there's a chance I'm reading too far into it. I know it's right up tosh's alley to do something like this. I met George Sr. once at a restaurant in Marshall, TX and couldn't control myself...I just stopped by his table and said, "HI Mr. Foreman. I'm a huge fan. Enjoy your meal.", and started to walk away. The Foreman Grill is an absolute legendary cooking apparatus. My family, my friends… literally everyone had a Foreman grill. I wish I still had one. The 90’s rocked. The lean mean grilling machine was truly a revolution.
My mom has owned her Foreman grill for over ten years, and still uses it for her steaks. I used to use it constantly when I was a young buck and had my first apartment. Truly a great peice of kitchen equipment.
I never had to eat a cold cut sandwich again after I got one. Turned a turkey and cheese cold cut into a turkey and cheese melt, that grill became a big game changer for me.
The george foreman grill deserves its flowers!!! did not think i'd be typing that sentence today. not only do i agree, i feel strongly enough to comment about it
That episode wasn’t for me. So I decided to not watch or make a comment under that video. The people who decided to comment on it helped boost the algorithm for it to be seen more. They are a bunch of tools for doing that. I’m guessing their is a lot of arguments and a higher comment to view ratio then the average RUclips video. Not a good move on their part
Two minutes in, and I must confess, I’ve never heard the term lettuce trim but I immediately intuited what it meant. I’ve always refer to it as roast beef or an Arby’s sandwich.
yea in hawaii we have alot of asian influence so we refer to good ol meat curtains as teriyaki (beef not chicken lol) or bulgogi...which is kinda ironic since Japanese and Koreans respectively are the least lippy girls(in more ways than one) i've come across(or inside of to be precise)
Came here to comment and say this was the first podcast I actually truly enjoyed the guest. He was super down to earth and seems like a really cool guy!
Just started watching these podcasts. These are great interviews. It reminds me of the old days when Johnny or Dave would have average people to interview and they would be so entertaining. Tosh does a great job with non-celebrities or more obscure celebrities like George III.
Listening to Tosh's son tell a story at the end of every show if fantastic! I love to hear babies ramble on and get lost in their train of thought! Adding animation to it makes it 10 times better!!
What makes Tosh different than most aside from the fact he was 20yrs of making fun of internet vids..is he stays Tosh & we appreciate that. ..this podcast is an extension of his interviews that he used to do with the ppl on the show
Getting George Foreman himself on the podcast would be insanely cool. His son is very smart as well. As someone who was born in 1999 watching this I don’t know much about the history of boxing besides the legends like Foreman, Muhammad, and a few others but was a funny podcast as always
Thank God for Tosh on Tuesdays. Gives me something to look forward to during this capitalistic hellscape workplace cubicle. Also lettuce trim is a totally normal, decades and decades of usage clothing descriptor, Daniel. Pervs co-opted the term, not the other way around! There are lettuce trim tops and bottoms, right along with socks. Its a squiggly hem basically.

Lettuce trim was new to me, probably because I'm not a guy. Anyway, if you get a mesh washing laundry bag for your daughter's little socks, they won't get lost in the washer. Love the pod!

Talking about his relationship with Kim Kardashian, " i'm not one to encourage kiss and tell bc i think that's tacky... but if you wanna talk about eating ass..." lmao

Even googling the term just brings up fashion forums etc so idk if it’s a big deal

Think tosh has the lettuce trim thing backwards. The labia term comes from the clothing term.
It's because it's his friends. It's the key ingredient.
Theo is on that level
Theo is definitely the master there. He interviews so many people with boring jobs and make them seem fantastic
