    I’m a Native American language revitalist. I am teaching a language that no longer has any speakers. I always thought it would be neat to use endangered languages for movies and shows and give them new life.

      I'm surprised there are aren't more nerds nerding out on lost and/or endangered languages. I mean, Klingon is semi-impressive but that same dedication towards actual languages would be super cool. And you're right, it would make for a great movie(s).

    personally this was one of my favorite episodes so far. I almost feel like watching Daniel struggle to play nice and listen to a story for more than just a minute or 2 about topics he isn't well versed in is a masterclass on restraint.

    For whatever reason, I took a college course in golf and sports turf management, and the professor (older man) was obsessed with Pootie Tang, would constantly reference it in the course materials, and actually had us watch it in class one week. Thanks for rekindling that memory

    You know, every single episode that comes out, I often think
    "oh, i don't know, this guest doesn't seem THAT interesting, but I'll check it out",
    and I'm wrong every time! That's what I love most about this podcast.
    Every single guest so far has been so damn unique, interesting, and full of hilarious stories.
    This has easily become my favorite podcast.

    Highly recommend ‘Poor Things’ film. Looking past Emma Stone getting plowed for 40min of the movie it’s actually a very visually trippy movie with a very interesting storyline.

    The O is silent in opossum. Possum is just people that don’t know how to spell it, and it’s been used so frequently that it’s become an acceptable variation.
