I’m a Native American language revitalist. I am teaching a language that no longer has any speakers. I always thought it would be neat to use endangered languages for movies and shows and give them new life.
I'm surprised there are aren't more nerds nerding out on lost and/or endangered languages. I mean, Klingon is semi-impressive but that same dedication towards actual languages would be super cool. And you're right, it would make for a great movie(s).

Was not expecting my two worlds to collide like this. One of my favorite comedians interviewing someone that created a language for one of my favorite movies.. it's a fun world sometimes lol
My fave part was the end, how his son was like excited about this big ass park, and he was like, "that's scary" so then his son was like, "fuggit, the end".
You know, every single episode that comes out, I often think "oh, i don't know, this guest doesn't seem THAT interesting, but I'll check it out", and I'm wrong every time! That's what I love most about this podcast. Every single guest so far has been so damn unique, interesting, and full of hilarious stories. This has easily become my favorite podcast.

Highly recommend ‘Poor Things’ film. Looking past Emma Stone getting plowed for 40min of the movie it’s actually a very visually trippy movie with a very interesting storyline.
