- 9 Winnipeg emergency vehicles responding urgently to a report of a fire at the Centennial Concert Hall at 555 Main St in Winnipeg. Numerous stations dumped heavy resources into the area, and I was lucky enough to capture 9 of those vehicles on video. Engine 101, Squad 102, Ladder 1, Platoon 1, Medic 31, Engine 4, Engine 6, Platoon Safety Officer, and Medical Supervisor - District Chief 72 all responded, along with a few other units that weren't caught on video. Some very cool siren/horn use by many units. Air horns, Federal Q siren, EQ2B siren, Rumbler siren, and traditional Whelen Epsilon tones.
The suspected fire turned out to be small, but possibly hard to reach, as units were on scene for an extended period of time. However, a show that was scheduled for later that night was able to proceed.

2:49 I didn't even hear this in Winnipeg.
Great footage! You were definitely in the right place at the right time, and got an excellent variety of units too!
The call wasn't too far from where we were staging, so we figured we'd go check it out, glad we did. Thanks for watching man!
Very cool, my cousin is a firefighter/paramedic in Winnipeg, I know that Winnipeg use fire trucks maded by fort Gerry fire trucks, I will get more information from my cousin about the switch from Fort Gerry fire trucks to
pierce
Very cool! I believe WFD's contract with Fort Garry had run out, and instead of renewing the contract with Fort Garry they decided to try Pierce instead. I've heard that they've had a bunch of problems with their Fort Garry fleet breaking down.
@@LiamPattisonPhotography ok, from what my cousin told me is that fort Gerry wasn't very well made, I like the new truck
@@jaystobbe6047 Me too, they look sharp!
Oh wow right on!
Thanks for watching!
Is that ram fire truck rare to see
It was the old Safety unit, so it was somewhat rare to see but not hugely rare. It has since been replaced by a newer Ford Transit model.
Amazing video Liam!!
Thanks pal, was a good one!
Holy macaroni dude nice catches!
Thanks pal!
Sick catches man!
Thanks very much for watching!
When fire chief units look like police units, hehehe! Awesome catches indeed! Bytheway, I really didn't realize that we still have "Q" type sirens! And, wow...the last unit shown is sooo British like! UK style in Winnipeg! Awesome mate!
Yeah since Winnipeg got a few Pierce demo units within the last year, three of them have EQ2B sirens, and one has a real Federal Q siren, which is Engine 6. Love that they have that in Winnipeg. Unfortunately all of the new trucks won't have real Federal Q's, but they will have the EQ2B's, so that's alright. Thanks for watching pal!
@@LiamPattisonPhotography thanks for showing us this! I was now wondering what happened at the concert hall there? Or museum....I wasn't paying attention which building....but I know that area very well 😄
@@Ithinkiwill66 I believe there was a small fire/smoke inside which brought all these units.
Nice catches!
Thanks for watching!
Great video. That Ram van is one ugly fire truck
I actually like that van, something unique! Not something you see everyday. Thanks for watching!
Amazing catches man, wow! That Q action from E6 has me hopeful that the real deliveries they're getting will have Qs as well!
Fire Phoenix Emergency Videos 火鳳凰特殊車輛影視 I’ve heard that they unfortunately won’t have real Qs😭
I take it platoon is same as battalion in Winnipeg?
Steven Pivornik I believe the Platoon Chief oversees every firefighter in the city, and there’s only 1 of them on every shift. There are multiple District Chiefs who oversee the various districts in Winnipeg. Not sure if that’s similar to Battalions or not, but that’s how Winnipeg works.
Winnipeg's "battalion chiefs" are called district chiefs. As Liam said, Platoon 1 is in charge of the entire shift as is the Medical Superintendent for EMS side.
