See, that's the thing. I don't do not believe he is mad or insane. Nobody in the comic is. We just have very strange or mysterious or overly eccentric characters. Everyone in this comic is human. That is also why Rocky is not bouncing off the walls with his inflections like he would be in the man other situation in this comic. He is actually upset at the arrival of the pig farmers and is actually a bit afraid of dying on train tracks. Mind racing, but still keeping his over Rocky-joy-speak going
This is AMAZING! Not just the voice acting, but all of the sound effects and the transitions of the panels, so much more than I expected. This is so legit
Whoa... I just realized that Tyler, the guy that voices Rocky, sounds just like Cry!! WHOA... It's a good match, he's a good actor, AND he sounds like Cry?! Excuse me while I go faint somewhere from happiness overdose.
your voice surprisingly fits Rocky! i always thought he would be more 'insane' but your 'calmer' take on Rocky changes my mind. i love it xD Oh, and your mad laugh is adorable btw Please make more videos!
Sorry, but I put a lot of though into this voice. He's not insane, just hyper, happy, jumpy, and caring. Many other words too, but I don't want to get into another long comment about what I see Rocky as.
I'm a right sucker for any and all things Lackadaisy, to the point that once I read a few pages of it, I start using 1920s lingo. Freaks the family out somewhat... XD
MOAR DAMN IT!!! YOU DID IT WELL!!! Everything is excellent! Sound effects, stylisation. Especially I liked the moment, where Rocky laughing, run and fall down. This moment you were did just perfect!
Very well done I have been keeping up with the comic strip for quite some time and this was done beautify. I know that I envisioned it this way when I first started reading this strip.
This was done on purpose. It's done in the old-timey "paper boy" voice because that's what fits the time period everything takes place in. Those voices were also lively like that in order to gain and keep interest to those who pass by. It might not fit in the present day, but for those in the 1920's, that's what they'd encounter to get their daily news. I didn't choose a more serious voice because it wouldn't make you think "Oh, 1920's, neat", it would make you think someone read it today.
I know a person or two who are insanely into these comics and I'm always bowled over by the art when I see it, when people link me the odd panel. I've never read it from the beginning or anything so if I see videos from y'all bubble I can get some background knowledge that way. Cheers.
Just recently starting reading this comic, and it's really great! I make a motion comic of my own, of Tom Fischbach's "Twokinds"; This is a truly awesome dub, not a sinlge thing is out of place, keep up your awesome work, I might just watch your dub instead of reading through the comic, you guys are awesome!
Wow love it! one of the best lackadaisy dubs I've seen! (and there are a lot of good ones here on youtube!) love the sound effects :D that's something most of the other dubs don't have.
You have some serious taste, sire. However, your Rocky voice needs more edge to it; he IS constantly on the verge of madness, and it doesn't really sound like it.
Wow. I was once involved in a thing trying to dub this comic. I even recorded the narrator parts for this chapter, in the same style! This looks like it might be way higher quality than what we were trying to do though. :) Good stuff, guys.
this is really great, although I do hope you speak a little quicker when he's making long statements in the later chapters. Also love the beginning! The sound effects help a lot too Nice job!
Great fun. Like most fictional killers, the farmers forgot one basic principle. The more complicated and carefully staged a hit, the more likely it is to go wrong. Basic rule, invented long before computers, has always been 'keep it simple stupid.' That way it usually works. nd, yes, I think Rocky's off his rocker - too much coffin varnish and bathtub gin can have that effect.
These are like the EXACT voices I picture when I read the comic.. I love voice overs!
Me too!!!
x3

Yea
Ooh,wow oof, especially when there's a train coming now but ,(train comes fast),
No, most of them are cat.
Nah rocky is definitely crazy. Hes a pyromaniac who loves fire and explosives and just loves blowing things up in general so he kinda is a crazy
Great job! The others are right, the laugh at the end really sells Rocky's...instability. I'd love to see the whole comic dubbed this way.
This is AMAZING! Not just the voice acting, but all of the sound effects and the transitions of the panels, so much more than I expected. This is so legit
I recently got into this comic after hearing about its upcoming short film. This dub is very good.
I came here after hearing about the animation. Wanted to see the origin of this series before watching the cartoon.
Rocky sounds to relaxed for a man who sees eternity when he drinks syrup.
Wow I can’t believe this was the beginning of the beautiful animation that just recently came out!
I like this voiceover WAY more than the voices I've seen in the short film trailers so far!
Same! I kinda wish they asked these actors to reprise their roles 😢
Cant believe its been 10 years
Damn, Rocky's voice actor is pretty good. :D
I always pictured him as having the same voice as Mike from Monsters Inc.
I always thought of it as like a higher-pitched Ray Liotta. xD
So basically you imagined he would sound like Billy Crystal, who is from NY!
Lackadaisy takes place in St. Louis.
That's one fine motion picture. I'm also enjoying this so called "popped-corn".
Yooo I saw this years ago and finally found it again after seeing the trailer for the animated short
That means a lot. Thanks! I hope that everyone enjoys all the types of dubs I do here.
No way I was 11 when this is published
The comics were made starting at 2006. If you were 11 at 2013, you'd be 3 when Lackadaisy was first made.
Please continue, this was like honey to my ears!!
Whoa... I just realized that Tyler, the guy that voices Rocky, sounds just like Cry!! WHOA... It's a good match, he's a good actor, AND he sounds like Cry?! Excuse me while I go faint somewhere from happiness overdose.
+Jay Sketchin Right? I always thought Cry would make a good Rocky, and this guy is PERFECT! Well done, peeps. Very well done. :)
while this doesn't satisfy my hunger for an animated series completely, it certainly lessens the need. fantastically done, Rocky's voice is perfect
Boy have I got news for you, buddy!
I was worried about how his laugh would sound, but you pulled it off nicely.
wow the voice-acting is incredible, makes the characters really come to life! =)
i just want to say that i love that little 'woo boy' you added toward the end; nice touch
your voice surprisingly fits Rocky! i always thought he would be more 'insane' but your 'calmer' take on Rocky changes my mind. i love it xD
Oh, and your mad laugh is adorable btw
Please make more videos!
Oh boy!
I love Lackadaisy Cats. This is so perfect!
These things are so well done. I wonder what happened to the guy
You and proUD are my favourite buds of lackadaisy! * bows down*
4:46 this is why rocky is my spirit animal. :o)
Yes, indeed she does!
I love love LOVE the radio voice in the beginning! Just perfection!!👌

I just wanted to say, you're my favorite Rocky by far. :)
Professionally made, it's awesome to hear one of my absolute favourite comics come to life X)
I love this webcomic. I'm reading it right now!
This dub is really good! And the editing! Thanks for your time :)
I really couldn't stop smiling the whole time! Yes yes please continue!
The voices were perfect, 10/10 work!
I absolutely adore this. I'm so glad to have found this!
This comic reminds me of the anime Baccano. Wish you would do more episodes. The voices and animation is fantastic.
My thoughts exactly, I was just about to post a very similar comment! weird
Is it funny that, before I ever watched this, and I was reading this exact comic, the intro voice sounded exactly like that in my head?
Oh yeah, when it's needed, it will come, but he's not on crack 24/7 mind you. He's just easily excitable and hard to rationalize with.
Never actually read this comic, but this video make me want to.
I LOVE your Rocky voice! And the whole video has a great flow to it.
I found the narrator's voice a bit monotonous sometimes, though.
You sir, have no idea how delighted I am to have stumbled upon this. Truly it has made my evening.
Sorry, but I put a lot of though into this voice. He's not insane, just hyper, happy, jumpy, and caring. Many other words too, but I don't want to get into another long comment about what I see Rocky as.

I only subscribed for the Moon stuck, but these are not bad. Nicely done bro.
This was brilliant! You have a lot of talent with voice acting. I hope to hear more!
Brilliant!! :D You sounded just like I imagined Rocky would!
This was great! The voices and sound effects are way better than what i expected; plan to listen to the rest!
This was really well-done. The voices weren't all quite what I imagined them to be but they all fit excellently!
I LOVE THIS COMIC OMG I NEVER KNEW SOMEONE DID THIS THANK YOU!!
Dude you did a great job with the voices especially Rocky's!
MOAR DAMN IT!!! YOU DID IT WELL!!! Everything is excellent! Sound effects, stylisation. Especially I liked the moment, where Rocky laughing, run and fall down. This moment you were did just perfect!
This is incredible! Please do more, it's just wonderful!
Very well done I have been keeping up with the comic strip for quite some time and this was done beautify. I know that I envisioned it this way when I first started reading this strip.
*I tried to find the trailer, but I found DIAMONDS!!* XD
I only have one word for this. PERFECT
WAT...I-...SO-....OH TH-...I CAN'T IMAGINE BETTER WAYS TO MAKE THIS
Well done! I've liked that comic for a while. Unfortunately it doesn't update that quickly.
Awesome choice for a comic dub! Lackadaisy is amazing
Thanks! :3

This is awesome! So glad someone got around to do this. Great comic and great voices too!!! Made it even more enjoyable ^_^
Does Tracy know about this? If she doesn't, she oughta! I mean that in an enthusiastic way.
Not bad. I like the comic, and I like the voice that go with it.
Wow love it! one of the best lackadaisy dubs I've seen! (and there are a lot of good ones here on youtube!)

That was impressive!

Thanks a ton!
Wow, this is a fantastic dub! Well done, you do great credit to the comic. :)
Slovak? I am from Slovakia! Damn i feel represented in such a pretty comic.
OMG, this is too perfect!
Just subscribed. Be prepared to keep these coming!!!
great voice work man, keep it up!
You got the voice perfect :) Rocky reminds me of George Cloony in Oh Brother, which comes across well. Please do more
I LOVE IT
That was great!
Nice Rocky voice.
I wonder if there are other animals in this world like dogs.
Wow. I was once involved in a thing trying to dub this comic. I even recorded the narrator parts for this chapter, in the same style! This looks like it might be way higher quality than what we were trying to do though. :) Good stuff, guys.
What happens when you put the jester cat in Alice in Wonderland in a detective suit.
But serisouly, this is awesome! Talk about indertrated.
Wow! That was amazing!! More!
Planned on it, and workin' on it. :3
this is really great, although I do hope you speak a little quicker when he's making long statements in the later chapters. Also love the beginning! The sound effects help a lot too Nice job!
Man, this is fantastic :D
Bro pls come back doing these types of videos of lackadaisy
Encore!
