    That brings back a lot of memories. I remember my parents getting a similar unit and it was such a big deal back then.

    my parents had a stereo , not the tv , but the radio and record player in a wooden cabinet like that growing up

    Well, you may have a better quality sound because of the tubes, when you play records, but the picture isn't as good as the flat screens we have today.

      The sound is very good yes, picture can be very clear with a DVD player on it. But nothing CRT will ever compete against LED 4K and the like. That would be like getting a Black Forest chain winder to out clock an DC Digital Company atomic clock. 😂 Thanks for watching!
