Hi, I am new but love the information you provide. I am someone that tried to be careful with my finances as i have made a very bad financial move in the past. I use my amex card to build my milage points and use it for travel. I also transferred my Sainsburys nectar points to my British executive mileage for travel
Doc there's no link in the description to avoid paying interest and being careful with credit building cards as you stated at the end of the video, do share the link. Thank you for your time
Getting a credit card is really difficult. Am almost 2 years in UK with a credit score of 570 which never increases but still not eligible to get a credit card
Yes and I have practically done all that except have a credit card but its been the same for up to 6 months +. I noticed I have different scores. In transition which my bank use I have 570, clearscore 520, equifax 524 experience 921. After watching 5 of your videos yesterday I have to check my score in all of them. I am 1year and 7 months in UK. Am good on the electoral register been in one address since I got here, I have only phone contract I haven't missed. I did loqbox and my status is settled. I have only one current account now although my phone contract shows I have 3baccounts I don't know why. Am not eligible for any credit card. But I did a research after your video to get my score last night and they gave me options on the cards Am eligible for but they have high interest rates. The common among them are : Zopa credit card, Zable card, Aqua classic card, tesco bank foundation card, then transition gave me marble classic credit card most of them have high approval rate. Kindly advice me on what to do please.thank you
When using AMEX, is it wise to pay back your balance before your monthly statement arrives ? Or it’s better to wait for statements before making payment
Hi Doc, thank you for all the educational videos it’s been helpful but I have a question. I had applied for American Express card but they needed 3 yrs address and I got rejected. Does this Barclay require the same ?
Informative! Question though, when using the 0% purchase credit card, does the rule of keeping credit utilisation below 25% so as not to hurt credit score still apply?
Are there credit cards that international students without full time or part time jobs can be eligible for? I do agency jobs, but no full time or part time contract jobs at the moment.
As usual gems ❤

This is insightful.. so pls as a new masters student does that mean I Will be eligible for a credit building card?
I’ve got a question please, how did you move your funds from the Barclays credit card to your saving account?
I used the Barclay card for purchases rather than my savings. So spent on it and saved my money
Dr., do I have to hold an account with a bank before I can get access to the credit cards? Secondly, I came to the UK 5 months ago

Thanks for the info. Please what's the process of applying for a credit card?
Find the card you wish to apply for and check their website
When using AMEX, is it wise to pay back your balance before your monthly statement arrives ? Or it’s better to wait for statements before making payment
I usually pay before the statements arrive. Doesnt hurt anyone
Very essential to apply for credit card which your odds of being approved are higher
Absolutely
Thank you for the video. Can you suggest credit card (s) that is available for international students, to enable them build their credit score
watch video till the end. There is one which will be suitable
I tried the tesco credit card, they said I am not eligible. I'm like 6 months in the UK...student

Hi. I'm 3 months old in the UK with credit score of about 500. Can I get a credit card? If yes, which one?
Of course you can’t Sithu’s options maybe restricted. Use an eligibility checker
Hi Doc, thank you for all the educational videos it’s been helpful but I have a question. I had applied for American Express card but they needed 3 yrs address and I got rejected. Does this Barclay require the same ?
Thank you I got the answer I wanted at the end of the video. Thank you so much
Yes, all credit cards require 3 years addresses but they can be outside the UK
Informative! Question though, when using the 0% purchase credit card, does the rule of keeping credit utilisation below 25% so as not to hurt credit score still apply?
Good question. But as you pay the credit usage reduces so you should be fine, and moreso its better than missing a payment
@@DiasporaCareersandInvestments yeah that’s true, thank you.
