The exterior is interesting for the little white bell turret at the west end is held up by two massive brick buttresses - a most extraordinary and unique construction. The interior is of great charm. The nave is filled with dark box pews which, under the west end, rise to an enormous height with poppy-heads of amazing richness. The floor is of red tiles - very uneven - and above are text boards of the eighteenth century. There is a colourful little organ near the chancel arch, whilst the base of the rood screen was left in situ when its top was cut off at the Reformation.
