  • In this week’s “War Rapport Wednesday” it’s all about hoops. The Auburn Men’s basketball team keeps their undefeated streak against conference opponents with a hard fought 53-51 win over top-10 opponent Tennessee. The Tigers now have 11 “quad-1” wins which puts them in an elite category of college basketball teams this season. Mike Gittens, the co-founder and co-host of “The War Rapport”, says the expectation for this team has reached new heights. Now the Tigers looked primed for a run at the Final Four. Their combination of veteran leadership with seniors like Johni Broome show that Auburn’s depth and team chemistry could add up to a deep run in March Madness.
The Auburn Women’s Basketball Team are looking to turn their fortunes around this season. A big win 74-51 win over the Florida Lady Gators gives the Auburn ladies a winning record so far this season at 11-10. Star forward DeYona Gaston continues to be the engine for an Auburn squad dealing with a bunch of injuries this season. Gatson racked up 18 points in nearly 30 minutes of play. She got some help from the newest addition to the Auburn Lady Tigers roster in Chinese player YuTing Deng. Deng recently joined Johnnie Harris team, but has quickly proven to be a threat from the outside, with 16 points and going 4-7 from three point range.
Rex Castillo and Mike Gittens cover all of these topics and more.
