Spray paint is also another option.

The glitter will wash off. You need to put at least 3 layers of dishwasher safe Mod Podge over it first then let it cure for 28 days. Regular Sharpie pens will not work either. Use Porcelain paint pens, enamel paint, or multi surface paint.

Kim Smith sharpies work if you heat the mug in the oven at 350 degrees for 5-10 mins
