All accents are beautiful!!... Unless you’re from Liverpool. 😉
(This is a joke 💕)
or Barnsley! heres an example... ruclips.net/video/ScELaXMCVis/видео.html
Why you gotta do scouse like that my personal favourite accent 😂
@@sampeeps3371 Yeah us Mancs don't like those Scousers!
Think it’s clear just by reading this comment section who is the better of the bunch between Manchester and Liverpool 👍🏻
@@sampeeps3371 isnt this how hate starts , we all are one race , much love
Interesting fact: there are over 200 distinct accents in the UK
Way over 200
Harry Kane has an actual speech impediment I believe…….No jack Grealish doesn’t have a stereotypical British accent lol he has a Birmingham accent, one that foreigners and particularly Americans have almost no awareness of lol unless they have seen Peaky Blinders…..Also the th for v is only within a word so brother wouldn’t be bruffer, just bruvver. Th for f is only at the beginning of a word
My thoughts exactly, that’s not a stereotypical British accent at all :)
I am born in Birmingham and love the Brummie accent.
Or have seen The Osbournes and know that Ozzy is from there.
I laughed when she said he has a whisper sound to his voice his voice 😂
Yes I’m aware of stereotypical British accents being British myself 😂
Not just brown people speak multi cultural london english. Generally most young people in London who grew up in diverse parts of the city speak it, even white young people
@@Isleofskye 😂
Soooo the white kids get mle slang and speech from us brown kids in the area
@@emmem4500 heres a cookie
I do , and I’m half English half irish lol
@@Isleofskye wtf is BBC English
I lived in London during the 1970s. I heard children of Irish parents speak with an Irish accent to their parents and with a cockney accent with their friends. I heard children of Jamaican parents do exactly the same.
Think that's an inherent communication thing.
If you've lived in different region for a while, it's notable when speaking on phone to (or meeting up with) family or old friends, how almost seamlessly you switch accents (although family/old friends may say you've picked up an accent).
I've assumed that's the same worldwide, even if regional accents cover different sized land areas.
Everyone is code switching.
Interesting
Noooooo cockney is not all of London. To be an official cockney you need to be born within the sound of bow bells which is predominantly east London, however the accent does influence much of London but only a true cockney is from east London
Never been a cockney
South south south London 💯
Nooo, Sterling's family were very much coin less, as most would be around that area.
I can understand all the accents in England. I can usually tell whereabouts a person is from by their accent.
I’m from Yorkshire (Sheffield) and I can tell different accents from town to town. To my ears the Sheffield, Barnsley and Leeds accents are very different. I can tell straight away.
It’s so weird seeing her 🥴 at Raheem Sterling accent like it just seems so normal to me 😂😂😂
Perrie Edwards is from South Shields I think, less than 10 miles north from Sunderland where Jordan Henderson is from, so their accents are similar. You got that right!
All regional accents around the UK are cool , even different areas in the cities have own accents , u can live a mile apart with a different accent . Peace n love from LIVERPOOL
Sterling's family definitely did not have coin. He came from nothing
My friend is Icelandic and he learnt to speak English watching cartoons, so he has a very clear American accent even after living in the UK for 15 or so years. I also knew a Turkish guy at uni who had learnt English from his Geordie grandmother, so he sounded Geordie through and through!
Jack Grealish is actually peng af 😍😍😍😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤🤤
I wonder if you've changed your mind now he has sold his soul ;)
@@stingersplash nah I want him 😍😍
Grill-lish 😂😂😂
Grealish the ‘ea’ is like ‘tea’
Raheem Sterling was born in Kingston Jamaica and didn't move to London till he was five years old so his accent is a mix of Caribbean and London . He then lived in Neasden, near Wembley. Wimbledon is posher then Wembley by a country mile.
He’s also starting to get a Manchester accent I’m starting to hear it lately
@@jem2886 maybe coz he plays in a club that is in Manchester. Just a GUESS tho 😆
A lot of british children started to speak the Australian way - with voices going up at the end of a sentence - when Australian tv programmes were very popular.
A major issue with this video, is the fact most of these guys moved when they were between 9-13.
When they signed youth contracts with professional clubs, they moved to those towns and cities. As such, they would have a blend of where they are actually from, and where they were raised as teenagers.
Spaniard Hector Belerin is a perfect example. He joined Arsenal in London from Barcelona as a teenager, and he has a really weird hybrid Cockney/Basque accent which is quite amusing to hear.
Great stuff, your energy is Great, I’m serial watching. I grew up in Tadworth, Surrey UK, have lived in San Diego Ca since I was eighteen, I’m now 72, still have my cockney accent but more of a “worldly” version. I hung onto it because the ladies told me they “loved” it, and it was easier than relearning anyway.
Cheers from San Diego (I’m subscribed).
Hey there, love, love, love your vids! I’m British (from the midlands) and even I found some of these accents hard to keep up with lol! Jack Grealish’s accent is definitely not a typical British accent though! I would say that most Brits would know where another Brit was from after hearing them speak :)
The stereotypical British accent you are doing would be rp/received pronunciation.
Yep, we can spot where somebody is from based on their accent pretty accurate. Even Geordie and Mackem, despite being so geographically close, they sound very different to my ear.
9:04 Sancho: I found I did the same changing my accent when I was speaking to a work colleague who was Arabic, he was trying to speak English but had the foreign accent & I found myself doing the same when explaining something to him trying to help him understand, trying to make it more simple for him to understand
Received pronunciation (RP) is also known as BBC English. It was originally developed to be very clearly understood over early radios which often had poor signal and awful speakers.
Mle is spoken by many of us that have grown up in multicultral areas. Im from south east london if we speak it would be pronouced souf londn we drop alot of letters im from addington, in croydon. If your from here its pronounced addinon we drop the g and t.
My accent is the one that Mason Mount has 😊. Just a generic south east accent I guess
I can normally place people down to their city, it’s easy to get the general area.
Cockney's known as being mainly a London thing if I'm not mistaken. RP is basically the stereotypical "posh" English accent.
BIG HEAD THO!!?! 😂😂😂 we call him slab head over here. Cause his head is like a big square slab of concrete
Eyy big up the north, West Yorkshire that’s my home county
I follow a couple of linguists on Twitter (Lynne Murphy and Ben Yagoda) and they were discussing the 'Peppa Pig' thing. They thought it likely that the children would retain some vocabulary from Peppa but that the accent wouldn't stick. Ben compared it with the children of immigrants who get the accent from the host community (not from their home life where the accent is different) but will include some words and phrases from their ancestral culture in their speech.
Yeah Raheem definitely didn't come from money. Actually the opposite.
Raheem was born in Jamaica but raised in London
Her face when harry kane began talking🤣🤣🤣
Video idea, guessing subscribers accents based on short videos or voicenotes sent to you🙂
Mason Mount is from a place in London called Crystal Palace, Bromley (which is where I’m from :) )
Im from sheffield and your yorksire accent was very close to the real thing if you keep it up it will be spot on
“Grelish”
Actually look up Ian McMillan, he's a poet but does a lot of accent stuff that will be available on the tube.
Lol I'm from Manchester. It always makes me laugh when people can't understand us. I also thought Raheem was from Mcr.
No way does he sound Manchester!!
so many questions from the expert
Yes we know exactly where the accent comes from. I'd say we could probably narrow it down to about a 50 mile radius
The two Sussex accents have all but died out. I remember growing up with at least five different accents in my village.
In brother, the th sound is more of a v in that clip, like bruva
Grealish is gorgeous, im from Liverpool uk!! 😍😍😍
i’m from south east london & i sound so much more like sterling than kane, find that funny idk
I'd like to think I can tell the difference between a Sheffield and Barnsley accent (14 miles apart), but wouldn't be able to tell the same distance from someone down south.
Definitely! I had a few Americanisms as a kid from watching Spongebob religiously
Sterling is originally Jamaican cause he moved to England as a child after his dad was shot dead it Jamaica
Harry Kane is from N London/Walthamstow
Shout out to Kingston! That’s where I’m from!
@@Isleofskye I thought that too. 😄
@@Isleofskye upon-Thames so neither of the ones you said haha
@@Isleofskye Kingston- upon- Thames is a place…. Google it… that’s where I’m from

FYI croissant has a silent 't'
You should react to Marcus rashford more he’s got a documentary he made about helping to feed kids
Why does almost no english speaker differentiate between accent and dialect?
So many of my friends find Jack Grealish handsome
Jadon Sancho has just signed for Man Utd for £73 million (imo that is an obscene amount)
Please can you React to Cockley rhyming slang
I'm from Manchester & have a different accent from someone who lives 3 mile's from me. Nearer to the city they speak gangster, it isn't an accent.
Yep we can tell the accents apart
I’m from London, I sound like Rice/Sterling
My blood is boiling
Go see a doctor 😳 hope you’re okay!
Leeds accent is also Yorkshire accent I live in barnsley which is the most broadest accent in Yorkshire
@@rammingspeed5217 yes
The thing to remember is that a lot of footballers are inarticulate and don't enunciate properly.
We can know were someone from by rhere accent and there is no typical English accent
Never knew brummy was a stereotypical accent
The examples he gave of being unique to Leeds is totally wrong, it is common in Yorkshire.
I’m from leeds !!
Lady from the UK here - also do not get it with Jack Grealish!!
Harry Kane has a speech impediment (someone has to say it).
oh to be sandwiched between Mount and Grealish.... such a dream 💕💕
if you haven’t already you need to react to football chants
I'm British and one of the only accent I find hard to understand is deep ireish
Sterling is from Jamaica and plays for Manchester City so he will live in Manchester not London
Hi I'm from walsall in the black country which is next to birmingham and love my vosie but no meny do
you should react to louis tomlinsons strong accent xx
God help you if you think a Manchester accent is difficult to understand. Northern accents are very different from southern ones and often easier to understand.
I don’t see the appeal with Grealish either so its not all of us
This guy may be worried about being labelled a racist by not stating the fact that the "th" pronounced as "ph" is the common usage by black southerners. xx
Us northerners have a much quality accent than the South
Up the North!😁🏴💪🏻🐎🥊🍻👑
lol no
harry maguire was born in sheffield. but im pretty sure hes' from derbyshire. he went to school in chesterfield and alot of my friends went there with him. his accent is derbyshire. absolutely not yorshire. compare this to someone from sheffield just into yorkshire 15 miles north or sommit. drastic
and leeds*
just sayin duck, these videos arent teaching you much. you really wanna hear the accents properly. you gonna have to come ere. you definately gonna learn accent from this weirdo whos never been up north in his life
Little girls fancy little boys, that's why they like Grealish. :)
Cockney is NOT the London accent
Grealish who ?
I'll be dead by the time they get to another final 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You mean English accents?
it's Jadon=Jay-don and not Jaddon. It's a common 'American' fault, not understanding how English works
It's almost as if, we have different accents/ pronunciations between our two countries?! 🤯 Quick, say garage and Tuesday 🤡
Wembley is not a posh area at all 😂
Some people are just fick as thuck x
True innit x
Good luck understanding a Geordie accent.
Wow no conor coady
Because manchester Is in the south
Tyrone mings is the heart throb for me f grealish loool🤣
They're both attractive.
Brovva
stereotypical British accent? What?!! Try middle class Home Counties
Leeds Leeds Leeds
Why would u react to this out everything uk u decide to react to this react to proper uk drill 410
hate that this guy keeps calling everything cockney when it isnt. Better to say estuary. A lot of northerners say every southern accent is cockney which is wrong and he is perpetuating this. He is also northern so he is going with this bias.
South London accent is the best 💯
North of the Watford gap there spastics
Hahahahaha
There’s a massive rivalry
No southern fairies up here mush. Up the North!😁🏴🐎🥊🍻👑
how can you not fancy the fuck outta Jack grealish wow
Just looking at him 😝😍😍
I mean I'm a straight man so its actually very easy :)
