    Turned out amazing, I too made some adjustments, I used Better than Boullion Chicken broth so didn't add quite as much salt. I also grow my own parsley, whose stems can get quite thick like celery on a mature plant, and used that instead of celery. Wow it upped the flavor (and nutrition) quotient. It did need the extra flour slurry to thicken at the end and I skimmed off some of the fat and oil before adding it in, since there was plenty of liquid after. I even used 4 cups of broth, just under the liter recommended on the recipe card, and it was plenty. My husband LOVED this. Best stew I have ever made. I loves playing with my IPot, Thanks!

      True! I agree 100 % but sometimes the recipe doesn't look the same when an ingredient is replaced and then my readers become upset sometimes as they want the exact same color they see in the photos and recipe video and get confused why the color of the food that they made is so different. So, I generally do not advise to replace the red wine in recipes where the color of the final dish might be impacted. Otherwise, it's fine :) I always appreciate when my readers make the recipe their very own my or even adds a delicious twist to it. Thank you Ginny for stopping by on my channel I appreciate it. Just a tip, I'd slow it down and explain in more detail how you are setting the IP to pressure cook as well as whether you're using instant or natural release. As a longtime IP user I can tell by watching the video but newer or inexperienced users might not know.
    The recipe looks delicious cant wait to try it as I'm a big fan of lamb.

      Is it instant or natural release please

    • @BriarLeaf00
      @BriarLeaf00 5 лет назад +1

      @@missmissy2668 natural release always with meats as in most cases a quick release, unless your meat is fully submerged in liquid, will result in dried out meat and a more often than not ruined meal.

    Great recipe, will definitely try this. I need to cut out the red wine, can I just add more stock or water? What size instant pot did you use? Thanks!

    • @FoodiesTerminal
      @FoodiesTerminal  3 года назад +2

      Hey Zoe! You can replace the red wine with stock. However, the recipe won't have the same dark color and it'll lack the depth in flavor. It'll be more of a lighter stew. I used a 6 quart Instant Pot Duo. Hope you enjoy the recipe :) Have a great weekend. - Meghna.

      In case it helps, I made a pot roast a few months ago with non-alcoholic red wine and it came out great! The wine wasn’t great on its own (it made a decent mock sangria) but it worked perfectly well in the recipe. You couldn’t taste it as wine in the finished product but it added depth and color.

    Looks good. Probably the only things I'd do differently is maybe add a can of corn (drained) or some frozen mixed veggies and some sauteed mushrooms. Then when finished, I'd turn on the saute/searing mode and add some cornstarch water to give it a nice thickness. Simmer for about 5 minutes on low, serve and enjoy ! 😋

    Good dish, but every kitchen does'nt have red wine so is there a an alternative. Even celery is some times hard to get.

    • @FoodiesTerminal
      @FoodiesTerminal  4 года назад

      Thank you so much Nicole for your feedback :) You can certainly replace the red wine with either beef stock (for a complex flavor) or chicken stock or veggie stock or even water (mild and light stew). The color of the stew will not be on the darker side but it'll still be yum. You can skip the celery for sure :) Hope you enjoy the recipe Noel. Happy cooking :)

    I made it tonight. It came out so delicious .One step I somehow missed and couldn’t find it in the recipe instructions, that I was supposed to take lamb pieces out after searing them and then add later. I just add the rest to the meat and continued with the recipe. Still came out beautiful and delicious. Thank you

    I know how to make a great stew but just enjoy watching cookery videos. I make my stews exactly as you do, I think most people do. I've had stew given to me and the person that cooked it didn't sear the meat or fry off the onions and garlic. It was still good but I prefer my stews to be incredible. I can tell your effort was as good as it can be. Nice relaxing music too. I shall subscribe. 😁

I always love to sear the meat until it browns up, someone had commented that I completely ruined the dish by burning the meat and then salvaged the dish somehow.... ROFL! I am sure that person has never seared anything in their life :P
