price?
My chair was delivered yesterday and I drove it through the house (it fit through all the doorways) and around my block on the sidewalks which are old and cracked. Chair seems like it will be comfortable. I just need more practice with the joystick. First time since having my stroke three years ago I’ve felt safe and independent just ‘walking’ around the neighborhood with husband and dog. With my walker it’s too tiring to go more than a few houses down the street and not safe with just a cane. I can’t wait to take the chair out to a a park or somewhere today and try it out. Hadn’t realized just how tired I was of being pushed in a chair when we went places that I needed assistance and how good it’d feel to have this bit of independence back.

Wow, would be great to take my friend out in my car. We can do that with a manual folding chair but then he is limited by someone that can push him around and he likes his independence and not always having someone right there with him (despite him not having a good deal of physical mobility in his limbs)

That’s pretty neat
That would be easy for my husband to load and unload. I’m stuck at home a lot because I can’t walk
And my husband has a different time pushing me in a manual wheelchair because he needs a crutch
To walk because of a bad knee. I miss a lot of things with my grandkids. I’m having a hard time dealing with not being able to walk
I thought maybe a wheelchair like that might help. I know I can’t just give up.

I wrote this over a year ago. Things has not changed much. I have not been able to walk and it doesn’t look to promising if I ever will because of arthritis in my knees now. I stayed home last summer. The only place I go is to Doctor appointments. But hopefully this summer I will get out more .

Helpful but questions: 1. Do you have a video that demonstrate leg extenders on this chair, presuming it has them (does it?)? 2.Can the batteries be charged somehow via a car’s ports that are otherwise used to charge phones, tablets etc.?

With the chair in the manual mode: would I be able to use just my feet to steer and maneuver around my house
Hi Carrie, yes, the chair does go in manual mode. Depending on your level of movement, you should not have any trouble steering with your feet when the chair is in freewheel mode.

Great looking chair. Is the chair made in USA? Also wondering what your thoughts are comparing the Eagle HD vs Porto Mobility Ranger? They look very similar, but I know the Ranger is China made. Thanks for your thoughts. I'm getting a chair soon for my mom.
There is not such thing as a motorized wheelchair that is Made in USA anymore. That being said, all inventory and parts for all repairs is stored in the USA for our chairs. That is the difference. The Eagle is one of our more popular models as it is well built and durable. Thank you for the comment!
Two problems I see is the basket reduces ground clearance and the chair back does not lean back. Otherwise a good deal..

Does the chair lock when folded in case it slips out of your grip when loading and unloading so it doesnt unfold and bust you one?

Hello Ayeni, these chairs are fine for double amputees, however, you would want to take into account the need to put additional weight on the front of the chair to make sure there is proper balance. This applies to any portable motorized wheelchair.

Hello John, 400lbs capacity for this chair. You would have to ship to a US based freight forwarder (no additional cost) and then make arrangements with the freight forwarder for importing into AU.
Hi, I have purchased a four wheeled power scooter but my mother said something the other day about a lightweight wheel chair would help her shopping but I am thinking electric even better but there is a problem. I read another comment here that says it's 58 pounds with the batteries in. She is single 71 but has a new car almost the same as the vehicle here in this video. We have both had trouble with the cheap wheelchairs from "Rite Aid" that she cannot load. Is there a simple attachment for her vehicle that would be almost a cinch 99% easy for her to manage getting one of these secured with? Thank you...

Wow...that turns faster than my jazzy and maybe even my Permobile. How is the power on carpet/grass? I would be scared to use the Jazzy on grass because power is so low it gets stuck very easily. I only use permobile outside, but it's obviously too big and heavy to load into a car.
The Eagle is great on grass and carpet. The chair is light and the rear wheels have tread, so this is a completely different driving experience than a heavier chair, such as the Permobile.
