I have one since 2/19 . Used in Europe for one month with few issues . My experience with it is ...... as some one at 6'2" the seat is too low to foot pad as such I placed a wood panel in seat place. Added two layers of HARD foam to raise the seat an other two inches . No problem . Rain days plastic bag over controller . Duct tape covering battery plug in In Case. nothing broken yet .

It's not 'caretaker'....a person employed to look after people or animals or buildings and a term commonly used at funeral homes It's a 'caregiver'.... a family member or paid helper who regularly looks after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person.
+I am trying to decide what to buy and this video helped a lot. My problem is knees, ie; cannot walk more than a few steps and I want to go site seeing, or just go to the grocery store. I weigh 230 pounds and, for 83 in fair shape otherwise except that knee surgery is out due to cardiac issues. Is this the right chair for me? Where could I go to take a test drive in northern Maryland? Thanks for your help.

Hello J, the Air Hawk is a very popular chair. By issues, I am guessing you are referring to how easy is the chair to use? We suggest always taking into accountability the level of ability the person who will drive and own the chair has. For example, this is not an appropriate chair for a quadriplegic. Advanced parkinson's can also present challanges due to needing a somewhat steady hand to drive the chair. We do have the ability to use and attendant controller bracket with the chair, so an attendant can do the driving. The more planning you can do the better off and more enjoyment your Dad will have with his Air Hawk.

I bought one for my mom about 6 months ago. She loves it and I love how easy it is to haul around.
