I have used one and basically you talk into the tube using air pressure and match what you are saying notewise on the guitar or vice versa !
Let me know if you want to try out the Gunfight game mode on MW2! It's in my opinion the best game mode if you're playing with another person communicating because it's 2v2 on extra small maps.

gunfight is the only mode i find to be fun in the new cods. fun to go for trickshots in too
