I'm starting the program on Sept 1st! I'm super excited...I've been a Pre-K teacher for 13 years, but wanted to get my BA to teach at public school, so here we are! I'm nervous about the Math classes, since I BARELY passed in high school and that was almost 20 years ago! I'm afraid I won't remember a thing! Any more tips on the math? Everything else, I'm not worried about! I've really enjoyed your videos, thank you for the content! :)
Hi! I'm starting at WGU on March 1st, and I just wanted to tell you how much your helped me. Thank you for the great content! I'm looking forward to future videos!
I just finished the MEE3 course! Yay!!! I registered to take the praxis in April, I am working on EFP1 now, waiting on my Task 2 results. Your videos are so helpful and I'm taking all the same courses. Looking forward to your next video!!!
YAY! I am so glad to be done with math courses haha! I am also taking my praxis in april. My original date was changed because we had a massive snowstorm! Ah I feel like I just finished EFP1 you are only a few classes behind me! When do you plan on doing your DT? Thank you so much!
A snowstorm! Oh no, well you have more time to get prepared for the exam. :) My goal is start my DT in Spring 2019. I just started C913, still waiting for my Task 2 for EFP. What classes are you taking next?
I'm just about ready to take the OA for DRC1 and will be starting ABP1 in a few days. I'm a little worried about that one. It looks hefty lol hows psych going for you? I took a different version, it used to be MZC1. When did your first term start?
I don't have the DRC1 class on my degree plan. Unless the name changed, NHC1 maybe? My Psych is going well, I like the videos. It's a lot of material to cover. My start date was March 1, and this is my first term. :) Good luck on your OA!!!
AMANDA MARTIN awesome! Yeah DRC1 is educational assessment. They did a major overhaul of the curriculum the month after i started so i am working off the old plan so maybe that's why.
Im going to start this program this summer. I hope you continue to make all these videos! They are extremely helpful and it keeps me so motivated! I am a mom also and it's so refreshing to see another mom working so hard towards this goal.
Kimberly Hurley thank you so much! I do plan to continue making these videos! If you join any of the WGU Facebook groups you'll see there are so many mamas and daddys working hard for their kiddos. It's so great to know we arent alone! I hope you love your experience as much as I do! Good luck!
Thank you for the videos. I was unsure about getting my teaching degree with wgu. I was worried I would be lost and not get any where because I was working by myself. I see now there is way more structure and interaction than I thought. I hope to get to see more videos from you and get to see you graduate.
You definitely will not be alone with WGU.They have so many resources that will help you succeed! I still speak with my mentor weekly to set my weekly goals and this has been essential for my success! Thank you, I am hoping to upload soon. I have been really slacking with youtube because I am just so busy with classes! Hopefully soon!
Wondering how it’s all going. I’m starting the nursing Rn to Msn program with wgu June 1st. Enjoyed your videos. Hope to see a video for you soon :). Thanks ! J
Hi! Everything is going well! I have been majorly slacking on making videos because I am in crunch time to get my courses finished! Hopefully I can find some time in the next week or two! That's so exciting I hope you love it! Best of luck to you!
Hello! I know these videos are old... I'm considering WGU but I'm scared. I started a different online university several years ago and had SO MANY ISSUES! Their programs were always "under maintenance" or just wouldn't work. It was so stressful! Needless to say, but I didn't finish because half the time I couldn't even receive or turn in my assignments. Have you had any issues like this???
Do you have any updates? I will be finishing up my BA in Communication at my local university and thinking the MA in Elementary Education would be a good fit for me.
Amy I will be posting a video soon! I have been very busy. Just finished up my 15th class since February 1st! Loving WGU and beyond happy with my decision to enroll!
Jessica Cortez congratulations, you're going to love it! As many as you can. So far this term I have completed 8 courses since February 1st and there are plenty of people who have finished even more than that and people who can only do the minimum of 4! It's awesome to be able to work at your own pace. It all depends on how much time you can focus on your coursework!
Hi, Jordan! Yes I was able to transfer in 28 college credits. It wasn't hard getting in but there is a lot of phone calls involved. They do look for specific criteria, having previous online college experience helps a lot, and having enough time to put into your course work. They should ask you if you have enough time to devote to your studies. Entrance test wasn't hard at all. It was pretty basic and it's not graded it's basically a pass/fail. They want to make sure that you have some basic knowledge and that you can succeed doing online work.
This term I am trying to get through a lot of courses this term, 13 so far, so I am averaging about 25-30 hours a week on classes. Term 1 I completed 9 courses and spent about 10-15 hours a week on course work. Hope this helps!
I am highschool senior and I decided to take online class In secondary mathematics. I don't have college credit since I am in highschool. If I work hard how many years will it takes me to graduate?
Esmeralda Vargas I am a stay at home mom so I usually can get some school work in for 2 hours during nap time during the day. The rest happens when my husband gets home around 5 and can take over with the kids.
I used the drillsters a lot and that was very helpful. I was also in the MZC1. I believe there is now a different version that is a little more involved than when I took it.
How many courses do you take in a term?? I am planning to start my Bachelors in IT Management and study 15 hours a week. How many courses can i fit in a term??
For me personally, I passed 6 classes term 1. I'm about halfway through term 2 and I have completed 8 so far. You can fit as many as possible. I know of at least one person who finished the'r masters in one term. It all depends on how much time you can commit to your studies, and how comfortable you are with the material and your determination. Accelerating is amazing but sometimes you can get burnt out very quickly!
True Teaching: My Journey okay , i dont plan to study more than 15-17 hours a week since i work full time. Do u think 6 course are achievable in a term!

Question: do you also work while going to school?
Esmeralda Vargas I am a stay at home mom so I usually can get some school work in for 2 hours during nap time during the day. The rest happens when my husband gets home around 5 and can take over with the kids.
How did you pass the educational psychology so quickly? I've been struggling so badly with this one.

Are the pre-assessment tests identical to the real test?
CHEF_CurryNation no they are not. They are usually fairly similar but they do t have any of the same exact questions.
