  • What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at Swansea Railway Station, where the station literally has no trains running at all on a week day, and one train has been sat there for 2 days. The complete failure, which is the British railway network, controlled by one big partly public, partly private company, Network Rail, and a load of fat cat shareholders. Most of them foreign companies.

Best of luck to them . I say this about them the police and security and railway supervisor , they might even remember me been there , I had to get the ferry from rosslare in Ireland in may terrible night , the ferry late leaving here in Ireland so when we got across the boat train was already after leaving and this was just around 11 at night , now i was 65 at the time trying get to London as my daughter was in kings college hospital after a transplant and I was in terrible state , we gets off the ferry and taxi took me and two ladies to Swansea station got there at 12.30 . Out I gets with me small bag on me back and small pull along case but the station was closed , Jesus I was in terrible state I streetwise but this is different , as I was looking at the station two police officers see me getting out of the taxi so they comes down to me and nice and politely ask me am I ok , I just looked at them and shaking my head tells them what happened about the ferry been late the train gone and I need to go see my girl in London and I had me tickets in me hand so they see that , the station was closed so they said try hotel across the way I says money wise I can't afford that as my ex-wife rang me says Yiu need to get over here so I did by bowering the money , next the security screen door opens up and late trains were coming in and people coming out of the station , the police officer see the security and supervisor as I think he said he knew them , he have a chat with them and they call me over saying can we trust you I just says you can trust me I just need to see my daughter in London and the next train to Paddington was not ontil 7.35 I think I. The morning , they says we will let you stay in the waiting room and leave the toilet open next to it so in I goes , them two police men and the train staff security all of them were brilliant , so well done staff in Swansea policemen and train station staff .

Pay the staff more then it's the commuters that will end up paying for it. Just like when stagecoach went on strike and most people was supporting them but I wonder if they still support them now they know the bus prices are going up.

That is never going to happen outside of completely new branches or railway lines.
Simple reason, huge majority of the railways were built in Victorian times, will be completely unfeasible to convert them to automatic/driverless lines.

Bolshi train staff. Some still do 40 years in the same job. Who gets that sort of job security?

Southern Rail drivers get net 50k for 37 hr week. I would not want the job for all the tea in China but that is what they get. I had enough of rail staff. Supported on full pay during Covid while others were on 80%.

Driverless trains will never happen has it would be to dangerous to operate and the cost of impermenting the inferstructure. What would happen if an accident occured like a object of the line or a someone jumped in front of a train?, who would supervise the evacuation of the train. These rail companies are raking in millons of taxpayers money and paying large salaries and divideds to their shareholders. Which most of these companies are foregin and they are own by other countries such as France. I support the workers such as the cleaners who are on minumum wage.
Keep the good work up Mick Lynch, Bob Crow would be proud of you. 🚈🚈
