- Viewing Mauna Loa is no easy task- whether on the ground, or up in the air. KITV4's Jeremy Lee got the chance to ride along with a tour helicopter- and get a bird's eye view of the eruption.
Let the people know when they go up the Mauna to get a bird's eye view to pick up there trash
their not there
Don't have a commercial for helicopter toursl disguised as news . We hate the helicopters.
I can understand your dislike of Helicopters. Here in Central CA, I grew up under the flight path of an Air Force base, B52s constantly roaring overhead. Then the feds eliminated West Coast bases, I sure miss my planes.
As a mainlander, I ask would you have them eliminated completely, reduced or more tightly restricted?
Would it make a noticeable difference in the local economy?
Way too many helicopter crashes to get me in one of those. Hawaii has more crashes than any state.
Do you know or are you just sure?
But is the crash rate any higher?
Source? That's an interesting odd fact if it's actually true.
#Hawaii could use 2000 #trucks and 100 #bulldozers to move dirt or sand and form a #barrier of #dunes to redirect the #lava flow from the #erupting #volcano !
Is it the helicopters or some kind of small plane I hear for about an hour around sunrise? It's loud!

It’s not a once in a lifetime event usually Mauna Loa erupts once every 5 years
