This song is maybe the most real and raw look into our lives.
Maybe all of our lives?
When we wrote this song, we treated it like a journal entry. Our fears for the future, and regrets of the past. It’s so easy to get caught up in all of it. But if we’ve learned anything the last couple of years, it’s that we are the happiest when we focus on what we have right here, right now. Life can be messy and hard, but there is also so much beauty to be found. I’d rather “Be Here Now”. :)

This is what I love about RUclips - discovering channels such as yours (which I did when you began yours) that blesses the world with voices, one wouldn’t ordinarily know about, that deserve to come out of the shadows and into the light, where they belong and can grow. With each song you share, I thank you again.
Savanna is a vocal superstar, but it really needs to be said that Mat is as well. Such a wonderful, rich tone and he has virtually perfect pitch. The two of you together create an absolutely beautiful vocal pair that completely complements the other.

I've lost my parents, uncles, and two aunts to cancer. I was diagnosed with spinal cancer two years ago at the age of 50. I'm fighting the cancer with everything I can, but it's fighting back and winning. My wife and I are both Christians and we pray for healing, patience and understanding. I'm okay with whatever God brings my way, but I'm terrified of leaving my wife behind because she also has health problems. We have a motto that we recite often...Be Here Now and count every day as a blessing. We love your music and it brings us such joy and peace. Both of you are truly worldclass singers. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. You've truly changed my life.

This song speaks volume for a lot of us right now.. life can get away from us, by getting so caught up in social media, our careers, jobs, and we sometimes worry more about performing for our bosses, employees, that we sometimes forgo being there for our faith, our spouses.. don’t let life get away from you. We are only here on life for awhile, we never know when our time is going to come. “I’d rather be here now” and enjoy my family, my faith than be stressed out all the time. This is a wonderful song sung by two very wonderful people. I could listen to this and every one of their songs forever and never tire of hearing them. On May 16 I will be seeing them in concert in Ohio and I can hardly wait. But the real reason I wanted to write this comment is to say that I am never NOT amazed by Mat and Savanna Shaw, not just for their singing, but for the small but important touches that they do to make their fans feel appreciated. Recently, I bought a sweatshirt from their website, and when I recieved it, Mat had written a personal note on the packing slip. I was amazed that he had taken the time to do that, and he may never know how much I appreciate it that he did. If he should happen to read this, I just want to say thank you and God bless you both in all of your future endeavors. I can't wait to see you in Ohio.

Growing up, he always worked 3 or more jobs to support the family. I know he felt bad at times missing some special moments with the family.
