For those asking if this works on bedrock, here's your answer. For Bedrock you need 20 villagers in order for the game to register it as a village, and therefore spawn iron golems. You don't need a zombie for this mechanic to work, but each villager will need a bed and work station (20 total for each), this also counts towards the village, so it is necessary. Fletching tables work best for the station, as other stations might not work during rain. You'll have to make some adjustments to the build for it to fit, but otherwise it should work if you meet these requirements. To Foxel: You have amazing videos and you deserve much more love and attention from viewers, I have already built quite a few of your tutorials and I have to say I am not disappointed. You make great content! Keep up the amazing work!
Hello my friend when you say 20 villagers you mean inside the tower or just 20 villagers around? I suppose you mean inside also would you say that the room is enough or I should make it wider?
@@basilismulwnopoulos6614 if the villagers are outside the tower, the iron golem will spawn outside, so you need them in, Note: you can put two villagers and breed them :)
Yooo. I've been following this with my son, and we have done everything up to 10:59. We've had 3 day/night cycles, but still no golem spawnings. Any idea why it's not happening?
I’ve now built this in two different 1.18 single player worlds. Is such a quick and easy build that looks great and functions well. The first time, it made for a great lookout tower near my castle, and this time it doubles as a lighthouse on a survival island build.
I love those kind of farm tutorial where you can build and go creative with the farm without halting its working, and in this tutorial you made a wachtower over the iron farm which is soo cool.I need more of these tutorials , greate work foxel👍
Great build! Really fit my other building styles. I decorated it to make it my own. I was also having an issue at night where the farm would stop. In case there is anyone else like me and using an unarmed pillager to scare them, repalce the trap doors directly on top of the composters and just move them up 1 block. Problem solved and works around the clock now. Again love the build and look forward to building others you have made.
Stunning. The 9ne thing I always had trouble with is making my farms look pretty and you've really inspired me on some of the things I've been working on. If you don't hit at least 100k subs by the end of this year it would be insane
For anyone having trouble placing the beds, just break one glass block and place a solid block then aim at it and place the bed. You can then break that block and put back the glass.
Props to you! I built this today, not for the iron as such but more for looks with a purpose. But saying that the iron output is actually pretty good for a single golem spawner.

Could you potentially get rid of most of the hoppers leading down to the chests by placing a dropper at the top to drop the iron down to the bottom? I think you could save a crazy about of Iron doing that.
Yes indeed, I made it about the same, only with some adjustments, had to use about 5 hoppers less, but some extra redstone dust, a repeater and a comparator
by far one of the most simple and good looking iron farms out there i shall be using this from now on with different block types and pallets. I would also recommend not putting the very top of the tower on if you are low on resources thats what i did and it looks just as good i think. Thanks for the build Foxel! its brill
Perfect, it just has a problem The water is surrounded by "walls", not actual bkocks, so when golems die they have a chance that irons get stuck in edge of the water and doesnt get in hoppers, To fix that you can use blocks instead of walls but you should cower the top of them with slabs and it doesnt really effect on how it looks from outside

I really enjoy your design and intend to build it in my world. However it will be the first one I've built and thus I'm unfamiliar with how they work beyond the basic concept. What is the purpose of the piston underneath the zombie if the golems were spawning before it was activated?
Beautiful build! I made something similar with the same layout for the farm right after I watched it. Unfortunately the iron golems aren't spawning. I think it's cause I only have mc p.e. regardless I loved building it and will be converting it to a lighthouse for my new town I'm working on. :)

Nope... Scare function does not exist... You would have to place at least 10 beds up there and a few villagers but at least 3 out every 4 villagers have to be linked and hv access to a workstation

The chunk the farm is in will need to be loaded, which means it should only work when you are near it.
