I would recommend trying to keep you thumb vertical on the neck of the guitar and not horizontal. It’s a bad habit I’ve had to unlearn after a couple years of being self taught.
you should focus on either finger plucking the guitar or pick first, I recommend pick because then finger plucking just comes to you, good job a lot of people don't even start
