Gotta day many of the shots they took I would never try such as the one of the waterfall where you are less than a few feet away from a tree which could end your flight prematurely

So you could do this with a Mavic, or, if you are like me, not as rich, you could take a Phantom 3...
And I'm not talking about the Pro. I myself took the P3 Standard to Helgoland and recently got the new P3 SE.

just a quick question, can mavic pro active track, trace on building like 1:14 ??
sure, it can track any object whether it's moving or not. then you can use the automated flight functions within the ActiveTrack menu

Any travel tips for actually making it through security within the US, or when traveling abroad. I've heard horror stories of confiscations at checkpoints.

Just came back from Bali. Some places you must ask for permission to fly. For example: Pantai Pandawa will charge you Rp. 50.000,- (3-4 USD).
