Something like 8 years ago I asked you to play more classical music, especially Rachmaninoff, today is the day.
I remember that comment funny enough
worth the wait :)
@@Cursein In 8 years people tend to change, I admire your consistency, I'm really happy for you my friend, I guess
@@Cursein wait you don’t like Rachmaninov? How? It’s really accessible for non-classical listeners lol
@@kylelandry kyle! i love your music! ive been trying to find sheets for your arrangement of get jinxed for so long now!!! where can i find it! great playing btw, this concerto is iconic, i love the last mvt!
Petition for the whole first movement :)
Petition for the whole concerto
@@JacobSimpson Would watch. Would be so weird seeing Kyle with an orchestra.
@@nuitNo.6 I’d honestly love to see just a full solo version more. Maybe with some signature Kyle adjustments and improvisations.
...bro 2nd movement. yesssss
Favorite concerto BY FAR. Rachmaninoff is just something else.....
Well, check out Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor. I think you would love that piece as well
@@willylumpnj Also one of my favorites, including tchaikovsky piano/violin concertos + mendelsshon's violin concerto. I'm just a sucker for the romantic era....
It's everyone's favorite concerto, don't get me wrong I like it too, but it's overplayed
My favorite pianist plays my favorite piano concerto. I'm so happy.
Kyle! Did you happen to watch Cliburn competitions final? The winner Yunchan Lim played amazing Rach concerto no. 3 worth a listen.
Beautiful ! It’s one of my favorites! Please play the whole thing. That would be awesome
Best passage ever in musical history
Excellent !!
It’s very beautiful! And I really love classical music so I would like if you play the -rachmaninoff elégie in e-flat minor op. 3 no. 1. it’s my favourite 😊
I play that!
Bravo Kyle 😊❤️
Beautiful as always 💗
Hell yes, I knew this gift would pay off someday!
Would like to see you playing with an orchestra next
Kyle! I've heard this concerto many times!!! It sounds so good when you're the one playing it!!! ❤
Ohhh my God❤️So beautiful piano🎹🎶🌹❤️🤍🎹🎶🙏🏾
Ahhhh, so beautiful! 💕
I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for this, incredible playing as always
Great work 💪
Incredible Kyle !.
I love rachmaninoff! and this piece is one of my favorites ❤️
Omg!! I was wondering whether you’d posted anything lately and saw this on your channel, so pleasantly surprised!! I’d love to hear more Rach Kyle!
Great 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is my all time favourite Rachmaninoff piece. I would be extremely grateful if you could perform the full movement, please. It is rare to get a decent rendition for piano solo (i.e. no orchestral backing).
best part of piano concertno no2
I've been following your progress over the years after one day (many years ago) coming across a fantastic arrangement of the addictive melody of Howl's Moving Castle by you. An Interesting little side note is that after hearing your arrangement by chance, I began to pay closer attention to some of the gaming music scores.. like the Nier Piano Collections, for example. Anyway, back to the original point. Back then it was apparent that you still were developing in your technique, but what was also apparent was that you are extremely musical with a rare musical temperament. And it's quite unusual to say that for someone playing "gaming music" . But after following your path and progress I am happy to see you incorporate more classical into your repertoire and your sporadic and fantastic 3 hour+ medleys that I also happened to come across on this little site called Twitch. Seeing you work on Chopin Etudes and even recently a Liszt Concert Etude of Paganini ...(if that "rings a little bell") just proves how seriously you are taking your technical development and shows that you have the makings of a true artist.. A true artist should never feel comfortable... and should always seek to keep improving. It's a never ending quest of perfection. Bravo on the Rach 2 excerpt! Be well, friend.
Beautiful! Love some Rach and Landry :)
Hope you're well! Still playing piano? 🎹🎹🎹
@@kylelandry thanks I hope you’re doing well too! Still playing and loving it 🎶
Finally
nice work
i remember watching your short on youtube of this, and i was so excited to hear you play it on your channel
i would rewatch the short over and over. i adore how how you played it
Nice!
Omg we need a full version!
yay more ear candy!
miss your streams kyle I hope you are doing well these days!
Very beautiful brother!
Thank you Matt, thanks for stopping in man. Hope you're well!
OMG, I was in Hawaii. I can't believe I missed out on Rach Piano no2.
wow. raw but cool
Yup this is raw audio! You noticed :) *actually I just remembered I added the slightest bit of reverb to 1 out of the 4 mic tracks.
@@kylelandry Maybe that's why I didn't notice that the audio was "bad", because to me raw sounds much much better than those dull pro microphones with filters that muffle the audio.
Despite being an awesome concerto it reminds me of Nodame Cantabile 🥰
Petition for another concert stream, 😻❤️🇨🇦🎹🎹🎹🎹
👍
It sounds very good to me. Bright and clear. just a bit of speed to keep with the tempo could be even better.
Very true! I will work on the tempo next. Thank you for watching :)
Hey Kyle I suggest you look at some of Rachmaninoffs first concerto (but the 1891 verison) there are alot of lovely excerpts in that
I have a friend who has performed this one! She is amazing. Maybe I will take a look :)
@@kylelandry Ahhh! Jealous! I wish I could find recordings of JUST the piano for the 1891 Ver.
I keep saying Rachmaninoff is underrated. I wish I had been taught Rachmaninoff when I first started violin/music theory instead of the standards like Beethoven or Mozart or Chopin (although i do love Chopin's music)
He was quite well known throughout his career, and remains in concert halls though. I'm not sure if we can label Rachmaninov as being underrated.
You should learn something of his! Maybe an excerpt from the second symphony?!
круто
С Малофеевым не сравнится
Aha, so you finally figured out that this is the best classical piece ever written. Only comparable to Gaspard de la nuit.
Gaspard de la nuit, played by Ivo Pogorelich.
Is there a chance you'd play prelude in g minor?
his website is down?
Is it just me or does this have an almost Ghibli feel to it? Reminds me of Magi the Legend of Sinbad too.
Maybe that's why I love it soo damn much - I first dicovered the full version played by Anna Fedorova and maan, it would be on repeat during intense work sessions. Really looking forward to you doing the whole thing one day :)
Stop teasing us and play the whole concerto already
Hiie..
