This is one of the most wholesome videos I have ever seen with Gordon. It is just him cooking, but is teaching his daughters how to cook while having fun. 10/10 parenting.
Its fun to watch and very endearing!
Watching the way he treats his daughters proves that some girls just need a loving father like him.

It's also how you learn about quality and how to identify seasonings before you taste them! An awesome skill to even have as a home cook

If you’re cooking a whole turkey, it would be like 180C/360F for 30 minutes per half kilo but you must put the turkey on a preheated tray.

She's grown up now and she released a cookbook and has her own cooking show or something like that. So yeah, she would've naturally been more interested when Gordon is teaching them when she was younger.

Tilly likes to cook most, Holly not so much. Meghan and Jack seem good sports about it. We'll see how Oscar turns out. He likes his play cooker set.
The Process (Chicken Fricasse):
- Get Olive Oil in a pan to medium heat
- Season the chicken and sear in pan for 2-3min
- Keep searing and rotating chicken and add Pancetta
- Once chciken is seared on all sides add garlic, mushrooms, bay leaf, rosemary and thyme
- Add brandy and flambe, then lower heat to simer 2-3min
- Add stock and cook uncovered on a simmer for 10min
- Cover and cook a further 15-20min
- Remove cooked chicken and garlic, bay leaves and sprigs
- Put the sauce on high to reduce (I added arrowroot flour to further thicken it)
The Ingredients (Chicken Fricasse):
- Olive Oil
- 800 chicken pieces
- Salt & Pepper
- 150g Pancetta
- 4 garlic cloves
- 150g chestnut mushrooms (Halved)
-1 bay leaf
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 2 thyme sprigs
- 75ml brandy
- 450ml chicken stock
- Parsley chopped

@@Cicero82 His daughter is a professional chef in her own right now and I believe she's on TV. These videos were made several years ago so most of his kids are grown up now. I love Gordon Ramsay's recipes and use them a lot. Follow his instructions and you can't go wrong.

Gordon is chill with most people. He just can't tolerate incompetent cooking from people who claim to be chefs as adults. Go watch him on masterchef jr. He's much more calm because he understands they are children, still learning.

You know what I love about Gordon is, his recipies are approacable, and really focus on technique and pairing flavours, instead of just bombarding complex expensive flavours in with each other, with something that is eventually worth less than the sum of its parts.

What I love most about this series is this Q&A between Chef Ramsay and his kids. Although it might be staged, it is nice to watch and to listen to the basics that are taught here.

Well, of course. When he's criticizing other chefs, he's talking to professionals who should have learned all that stuff and practiced for years. I can well imagine talking to his kids in a harsher way if they would be part of his restaurant staff and did something wrong. Especially his kids, because other staff members should not get the idea that he might protect them.
